Tuesday Morning, Right?

Good Morning Family,

Vickie, I am so glad you are finished your move.  I know from experience how big that job was. First, I was an Army  wife, then moving several times before landing here in Michigan.  I know how monumental a job it is.  I can't imagine what it was like for you, dealing with moving two homes, with a sick husband. You are so strong.  I pray for you often.  I know how God is holding you together.  I am also thrilled you had an evening out with your girls, and how happy all of you look in that picture.

I had an exhausting, but good, day with the kids yesterday.  Frankie didn't take his nap, so he was cranky.  Then, Lincoln decided that it would be fun to antagonize him, making him whine, scream and cry most of the afternoon.  Middle children.  Argh!.  He reminds me so much of my Chris at that age.  We all survived, and there were no major meltdowns, so it all ended up good.

I am moving slower than molasses in January this morning.  Overslept, and just have zero motivation to move, but the disaster called my house desperately needs me moving.  I have just been so tired, and as I type this, I realize I may be overdue for my B12 shot.  Need to go check my Rx date.  I give myself the shot.

I hope Judy feels better soon.  I also hope you are able to get to your son's wedding.  I remember flying to St. Louis, from Philly, to go to Chris' wedding years ago.  It was the best celebration because it was exactly one year after my RNY, and I looked fantastic.

Well, I just gave myself my B12 shot.  Had to go check.  It was prescribed on March 17th, so I'm only four days late.

Connie, I hope you feel better soon.  I started getting achy yesterday coz it was raining and cold, or cooler, all day.  I like warm summer rain.  But, despise cold, damp, rainy days.

Today is windy.  I better get moving, or this place will never get clean.

Love, Hugs, and Prayers,

Trish

hello everyone,

and congratulations to Vickie of course.  What an amazing woman.  I think we are all pretty much in awe - I know I am!

Trish, sure sounds like today will be a quieter day all around.  I hope those aches are getting better.  The sun is starting to peek out here and I hope the temps go up a bit.

As for me, the recovery and rebound continues.  I'm making my way into purrees without any major mis-steps.  I haven't had anything disagree with me yet and I continue to get my 60+ g of protein in.  Today I made the famous Eggface Ricotta Bake. That is just a genius recipe. I have lots of leftovers (though I may have to hide it from my stepkids, who love it. Tonight I'm poaching chicken breasts in tomatoes and basil, and then I will grind it all up with a smidge of cheese on top. I want to see how my pouch handles really dense protein like the chicken.  I'll have to go easy!!  For exercise, the weather was wild yesterday and this morning.  So, I popped in a DVD of Leslie Sansone, Walk Away the Pounds. Haven't used it in over 10 years. I have a 1 mile option (20 minutes) on this DVD, and since I am up to 15 minutes walking outdoors I have this a try. It worked great for me! And I feel good knowing I got some movement in already. Though last week I couldn't handle cold water, this week my room temp water was making me nauseous so I chilled it and what do you know, it's better!  So anyway, all told, Food, water exercise and vitamins are coming along.  Some days are better than others.  All I can do is keep plugging and stay committed.

OK girls, I am going to get back to cleaning projects. I will come back later to see if more of you have the chance to check in.I'm praying for our many struggling sisters today, and for everyones families.

hugs one and all,

Christine

Hello Christine..yes Vickie amazes me every day!! God is there with her ever step of the way.

I am glad all is going well on your WLS  journey. I couldn't eat chicken for a long time. Some people have problems but many don't. That recipe for Eggface's Ricotta Bake is wonderful!! She has an amazing site!!! I need to check it out and see what is new!

It is funny how we like something and then it changes. I still have that with some foods too. You are plowing ahead with your walking....YAY!!

Have a good day...love and hugs....connie d

Good afternoon Trish and everyone....

Trish....I am glad you enjoyed yesterday with the kids!  So Lincoln was in a feisty mood. He is at that age and also a middle child and that makes a difference. They have to test the waters now and then grandma...LOL!! They know how much you love them!!

You said your B-12 was due March 17th, only 4 days late...this is April...way more them 4 days. Maybe you meant to say April. I am so glad someone else gets things as confused as I do...LOL!

I am doing okay...another dark and gloomy day. Of course that means pain...just another day. I am sure you are feeling the same way!

I walked for a good hour today. Too cold to be outside walking as the windchill is 22 degrees. We have snow flurries. I hope that is all we get!!

Absolutely no other plans today. Reading, watch a movie, relax!!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Prayers for our special OFF Family and their families. Some special prayers as well.

Lots of love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d

Hi Ladies -- Having a quiet day today.  Yesterday was great fun with Taylor -- she is at such a great age.  She sure knows how to be entertaining - she's so smart, and she knows it.  She's excited to be starting Kindergarten this Fall (She'll be five in July).  She is practicing her letters and numbers, and doing "projects" in her notebooks.  I'll have to get a recent picture to post.  I laughed all day yesterday because she has such a crazy sense of humor.  Maura looked very tired when she came to pick Taylor up.  She has a lot going on at work, and she and her boyfriend have just gotten over a rough spot....I wish I could take her and Taylor and just go away for a week and relax.

Had "words" with Jim -- I've been looking into getting a dog lately, so last night he brings out a picture of a Sun Couture bird - he feels if I'm getting a dog, he should get a bird.  Told him he was a selfish *******    So I'm going to hold off on the dog; today he's bringing me pictures of RVs...and he doesn't even have a license.  I think I'll send him over to Eileen's and he can hang out with Richard!!  (JK Eileen - you have enough to deal with!  )

Vickie - glad you had a good time at the concert, and super glad your big move is done - I know you have a lot of organizing/unpacking to do---but I'm sure you'll dive right into that with your usual gusto.

Connie, I hope your pain has subsided and you're feeling better.  Don't you get tired of being tired. Amazing how the weather can affect us.

Judy - hope you're feeling better, and have all your leases done and up to date.  What a hassle it has been for you.  A bingo win would certainly help cheer you up.

BTW, Christine, love your new avatar.  (It is new isn't it?  Or am I having another CRS Senior Moment?)  Glad to hear your diet is progressing.  Isn't the Ricotta Bake to die for??  I still make it - and add spaghetti squash to it.  Yummo!

I'm going to get back to "organizing" my living room.  Had piles of boxes in the corner - some were empty, some were not.  Going through them and trying to get rid of "stuff" I don't need.

Everyone else -- have a good day.  Prayers and good wishes to all!

Mary

Hi Mary....I am having a quiet day too. Tough day...this would have been my mama's birthday. I just choke up thinking about her.

I am sure you and Taylor had tons of fun yesterday!

I wish you, your daughter and Taylor could go away somewhere too. I have had that runaway feeling for a couple weeks now....today it is the worst.

I agree I think Richard and Jim should be roommates...NOT at Eileen's!!!! LOL!!!!  I am worried about Eileen.

Yes...I am so tired of being tired. I am doing everything I can to make it better...the weather isn't helping at all!! Sorry you are hurting too!!

Lots of love and many hugs...connie d

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I had an epidural this morning and I'm moving slowly. Plus, Richard is ticking me off big time. I realize he has been going through bad times, but everything that happens he wants to just throw it away, let's not try something, just forget about it. For instance, we tried selling his iPad on this place called Buybackworld.com (highly recommended by several places). For some reasons, they couldn't unlock the ipad and sent it back. It came back smashed, so we could file insurance. But to do so, he needs some proof of ownership. All that would be is a receipt ... and he could get that from his Amazon account. But he won't even try that. He wants to just throw it away and not get any money. It's defeatist, and I won't put up with it. I understand his world is falling apart and things haven't gone well, but you've got to keep pushing. Well, I've never been in that situation.

I was glad he went out this afternoon for a doc appointment. I couldn't drive him  because of my epidural. I needed some time to myself, too. It's nice to have the place quiet.

Hope all is well with everyone. Take care.

Hello Eileen....I am glad to know you got your epidural today. Hopefully soon you will have some pain relief soon.

I am happy Richard left so you can relax and have a quiet time.

I agree... Richard has no money so he needs to send that iPad back. You are low on money right now anyway. He at least needs to try to help. I don't know how much longer you can deal with this. I am worried about you.

I hope tonight goes well for you.

Prayers...love ....hugs....connie d
