Happy Easter, Happy Passover!!!
Good morning and Happy Easter/Passover to everyone!!!
Trish...I hope you do well with the Thrive. I have to take my sample to my doctor on Tuesday. She wants to check a few things out. I really couldn't afford it anyway.
I was hoping you would let that dress go. You needed the diversions...Michigan game and toddlers project. You have been flying for days!!! I love what you are doing with the jelly bean poem bags. That is a great idea!!!
The dinner at Colleen and Trent's will be great no matter what you have to eat. I would love to know more about the sauteed green beans dish. I love fresh green beans!!!!!
I cooked and worked like crazy too. If I was to be gone a day or two, I always made plenty of dishes cooked up for my family. I love to cook!! My daughters are both great cooks!! Although, Carrie's husband, Greg now does all the grocery shopping and cooking. He is an awesome chef!! His homemade sauces are amazing!! Jamie has to make Gluten Free meals now, but they are delicious too!! My granddaughter, Amanda does a wonderful job of cooking. I send her so many recipes!! Kyleigh's boyfriend, Mitch is an amazing chef too!! He is the one that took several of my cookbooks home when he was here last. Nic is really an interesting cook. He makes many dishes without recipes. A little of this and that and they always turn out yummy!!
God Bless you and have a beautiful day!!!
As for me...not much...Pam and I were going to church this morning. I haven't heard from her and the service is 1/2 over now. Services are always recorded live and televised here. Most any time on Sunday's. That will work!
I have my puzzle to work on and of course my walks to take. They have a really nice Ham dinner here. I will be getting that. My daughter, Carrie called me this morning and we talked about an hour. Jamie text me a message and said she will call later. They are with Megan's family. Grace made me a special Easter Egg ...Jamie sent me a text. Love love that little one so much!!!
I haven't heard from Nic, Lucas, Kyleigh and Amanda yet. I know I will before the day is over! I miss having them all around me!!
Have a wonderful day and enjoy being with your families!!
Prayers for our special OFF Family and their families.
Bushels of love and bunches of hugs to all.....connie d
Hello sweet sistas!
So many posts already! Every one is HOPPING today! LOL!
We are having a rather quiet Easter Sunday. The chemo has finally caught up with Butch and knocked him on his butt. He nearly had tears in his eyes this morning when he told me he just didn't think he could go down to the new house and have Easter with the boys. But I told him, "That's okay." The boys had bunny this morning at their house. And Carrie will go down to see them this afternoon and take them the baskets from Mimi and Papaw. I can't leave Butch right now. He's so weak he can't even get in and out of bed by himself. That damn chemo is a b*tch.
But, even with the extreme fatigue and weakness, he's not hurting like he was before. His joints are stiff and sore (from the Neulasta shot), but the grinding pain in his back is still gone. Thank you, Lord Jesus!
So, yesterday Carrie went with me to the granite place and we picked out a piece of remnant granite for Mom's bathroom vanity. Carrie actually found the one we ended up going with. It's very pretty and I think it will go well with the new oak vanity I bought for in there.
I really really need to be working on packing and such today, but I'm just so tired. I think a day of rest will do me more good than pushing myself to go-go-go again today. The next two weeks are going to filled with go-go-go. I'd better rest while I can. Besides, I like the closeness of lying in bed next to my husband. I work on crossword puzzles and such, and he snoozes, but still we are together. I treasure those times.
Last night I made crab legs for Carrie and me for our dinner. They were delicious. I think I could eat crab 5 times a week!
So glad to read about everyone today! Too many to remember how to post to all of you. I love our little family, don't y'all? It's amazing how sharing little snippets of our daily lives together builds such a close bond between all of us, but it does!
Love you all, my sistas!
Happy Easter/Passover Vickie!!
Yes ...you know me...I post too much...I don't want to miss anyone or anything...LOL!!
I am glad you are not even trying to go to the new house with Butch. DAMN CHEMO!! I can tell he isn't feeling well when he opts not to be with Benny Bop and Budder. That can't be easy for either of you. They can come see you sometime when Butch is up to it. It is nice that Carrie will drop off the baskets for you. Sweet Carrie!!
I am so glad Butch is having less pain in his back. I guess I would rather have the extreme fatigue and weakness then that horrible grinding pain he was having. God Bless him. Still praying daily for him and you!
I am glad Carrie was there to help pick out the granite with you. It is hard to always decide everything on your own. Butch is just to sick to be involved much.
I think you taking a rest today is a much better idea. Spend the time with Butch and relaxing is surely quality time together.
My daughter, Jamie is crazy for crab legs!!! She would eat them every day if she could!!! I love it to but not every day! I am glad you enjoyed the meal with Carrie!
Yes....we are definitely the "Ya Ya Sisters" on this board!!! When one of us is gone it always feels so empty. I love and adore our special family!!!! I love you!!
Have a good rest of the day.
Love you much and sending bushels of hugs...connie d
Hi Carla...it sounds like you chose to get away for Passover.
I know you can't eat all the food, but doesn't your husband mind if you miss holidays with him and family? I don't know....maybe he went with you.
I wish I had a special man to spend holidays with!! I really miss that part.
Love and hugs to you...connie d
