Hey Trish, Happy Easter!
Those jelly bean poem bags sound really sweet - and a nice change from a chocolate bunny!
My SO had been living on frozen meals -- frozen breakfast bowls for breakfast, canned soup for lunch, and frozen dinner for supper. He went to the doctor last month and she put him on a low sodium diet, plus some diuretics because he had been retaining fluids. He lost 45 pounds in two weeks!!! He has realized the error of his ways, and now is sticking to low sodium diet. I make fresh everything for him. His favorite dinner is a foil-wrapped meal -- I put sliced potato, fresh veggies, and chicken breast or piece of steak, or sometimes fish, add some spices, and wrap it all in foil, and bake -- everything comes out tender and delicious. So easy - and he eats every bit of it.
Hope you have a nice dinner - enjoy the day!
Good Morning to all - and happy holiday!
I'm having a quiet day - Taylor went home last night -- would have loved to have her stay, but she belongs home this morning. Very important to celebrate holidays with Mom and Dad!! I did get to do some Easter-themed projects with her over the weekend, and I'll give her a small basket later. She is going to be 5 this July, and all she can talk about is starting school -- she is so excited. This weekend she spent most of her time on my new recumbent bike. I just got it last week and I'm loving it. I get on it several times a day, for 30 minutes at a time. I think just doing the exercise not only helps physically, but also mentally to keep me on track.
Have a great day all. Take it easy and don't stress!!
Happy Easter/Passover Mary!!!!!
I hope you enjoy your quiet day! We all need days like that! Taylor will be 5...oh that is a special time. I am sure she is counting the months until it is school time!! I am glad you are both enjoying your bike!!!!! WOW 30 minutes several times a day....that is a lot of miles. Good for you!!
I am glad I will be having a quiet day. I am finally having a bit less pain which is great!! It seems like all the pain meds and muscle relaxers are catching up and I have an upset stomach this morning. Not horrible just a little off.
I need to get myself going....I have a few things I need to accomplish yet.
Loads of love and bunches of hugs....connie d
Good morning and Happy Easter! Alleluia!
It's up to nearly 60 degrees here, and everything is finally budding. Crocuses are starting to bloom. Our Magnolia trees are usually in full bloom at Easter but, not this year! It's ok, I'm just grateful the cold pattern seems to be breaking.
You all sound wonderful, and I am so glad! Judy, congratulations on winning that money! I sure hope you do something fun and enjoy it! You deserve to do that!
Well, tomorrow at this time I should be in my hospital room, post recovery. My surgery call time is 6am (that's when I check in at the hospital). So I'm roughly predicting 7am surgery, 9am recovery room, 11am hospital room. More or less. Will do my best to drop in an give you all a holler as soon as I am able!
It's clear liquids all day for me today, but I am a lucky girl that I only had a two day liquid diet. Yesterday full liquids and today the tough stuff. Most folks have a two week liquid diet, so I cannot complain. But my husband is cooking Easter dinner and man oh man, it smells heavenly. That's ok, it's just one meal and I can handle it - it's all for a very, very good cause. The best cause of all. My health and my happiness!
Well I am going to go have some tea and pack my hospital bag. I will be popping in and out all day. Hugs and prayers to everyone!
Christine

137 pounds lost - from a 24/26W to a size 8/10!
Good morning and Happy Easter Christine!!!!
PLEASE send me some of your warm weather...we have a high today of 50. I will walk outside for sure. I am just waiting for Flip Flops and shorts weather!!! There were a few days I wore them.
I love Magnolia trees....they smell so great!! Crocuses are starting to bloom is a sure sign of warmer weather to come!!!
TOMORROW....YeeeeHaaaw...hang on tight!!!! this is an exciting and wild ride!!! I could give you my phone number and you could text a message that you are okay. I can post for you if you like. Just to let everyone know all went well and you are okay. It is up to you. We can wait until you are up to it too.
The day before surgery is the tough stuff...I remember it well! Hang in there. Some people cheat and eat a last meal. When they get to surgery the doctor refuses to continue. They have to have plenty of room in there to work. I personally know two people who did that. Worst part is....insurance won't cover the second time when it was your fault! Enjoy your day....I am over the moon excited for you!!!!
God Bless and know I am keeping you in my prayers.
Lots of love and oodles of hugs.....connie d
Thank you Connie, that would be wonderful. You can PM me your number here or on FB and I will send a message that I'm out and ok, just in case I'm not able to post.
The only "cheating" I did was that I received Holy communion today at Easter mass! I wasn't going to skip that, not on Easter and especially not the day before major surgery! I just let it dissolve in my mouth so it won't cause an issue. I did have a nice meal with my hubby on Friday night, as I was allowed to eat regular food then. We went to our favorite place; I didn't go hog wild but I enjoyed every bite. But anyway the risks of eating today are too great and I wouldn't chance it. My hospital, and my surgeon, are very very strict and there is no doubt they would cancel if there is any evidence of non-compliance.
So I'm being a very good girl! Just broth and jello and sugar free pops for me today!
Thanks for all the good wishes and the love!
Christine...I will message you on Facebook.
Best wishes and prayers.
You can get communion before your surgery. They brought it to me in the surgery waiting area. The doctors are okay with that. Remind them if you want the communion before surgery.
I know be quiet Connie!!!
More love and extra hugs.....connie d
