Happy Easter, Happy Passover!!!
Good Morning OFF Family,
I got my first month of Thrive in the mail yesterday. I am having my shake. I ordered a bathroom scale from Amazon that I should get sometime in the week. I haven't owned one since years before my RNY.
I never did get back to the dress I'm making. First, there was the Michigan State game, which I'm disappointed they lost. Then, I got side tracked by a project for the Toddlers. I decided to make jelly bean poem bags, with the Gospel in the colors of the jelly beans. It's really cute, and I thought it would be nice if I sent them home with those little bags for Easter. There were different versions of the poem, but the one I chose seemed most popular.
Today, I'm heading to Colleen's after church. Her mother and father-in-law will be there. I guess the siblings head to their in-laws'. Colleen is making the ham and a sauteed green bean dish that is yummy. I'm doing boxed au gratin potatoes. In-laws are bringing a pie. Poor Trent, his favorite lasagna is frozen, and his favorite potatoes are boxed au gratin. His Mom didn't cook much. Colleen has made yummy homemade lasagna, but he prefers frozen. Even when I was crazy busy, my kids rarely got a frozen dinner. Sean liked Salisbury Steak as a kid, but that was about it. Beth never worked full time, yet made a lot of frozen or boxed meals.
I better scoot. I have to get to church early. Have to finish the poem bags for the kiddoes.
Love, Hugs, and Prayers,

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I'm up and getting the last of my food made. Yesterday, I did a lot of prep work for the food that I needed to cook today. I did bake yesterday and I did cook a chicken and ham. So, today, I will use the chicken in two dishes, the ham will be by itself, and I am making asparagus. I am also making a linguini salad. My husband says it will take a truck to get everything down the mountain but that isn't true. When you count my kids and their kids and my sister's kids and their kids and the older girl is home from college with three of her sorority sisters, and our friends who come over with their grandkids, well, we will have just enough. When my sister said she was making a ham but had invited my high school friend and her kids and grandkids, I knew that we needed another ham...my sister is use to little girls, my friend, Lou, has boys...LOL...and boys eat. So, that's why I made so much.
We have had hot weather all week and today we are going to have cold and maybe rain. While we are going to have a lot of kids at my sisters, there are only about six that are young enough to egg hunt so my brother in law has made a hiding place in their garage and on their back deck, which is covered. I'm hoping the weather brightens up so the kids can play outside.
Well, chicks, I hope you all have a good day.
Wow - you're cooking up a storm!! What a huge gathering -- I miss big get-togethers like that. When my father was alive, he used any excuse he could find to get the whole family together for dinner. It was always a great time. Now, holidays are quiet.
Tell your husband to get that truck loaded so you can take off!!
