Good morning everyone.....

I decided to get up because all I was doing was tossing and turning anyway. Five hours of shopping with Pam yesterday has done me in!!!! I am trying to keep ahead of the pain but it isn't working.

So is everyone ready for Easter? Are you traveling anywhere? Please keep safe if you are.

I spoke with Nic yesterday. He called to tell me he has finally had some time off to go get the title of my car put in his name. I thought he did it long ago. He said his work/college hours and their open hours never clicked. I am glad that is done.

I finally found a few things to send to Gracie. I can't get it sent out until Monday because the shipping place isn't open on weekends. I also got a few things for Nic to congratulate him on being a Firefighter. He is still so excited!!

I am happy that Vickie and Butch made it home yesterday. They can spend some time with Carrie while she is there. I would imagine Christie, Mike and the boys will be there for Easter. I pray the blood transfusions are helping Butch feel stronger.

Judy...I am sending prayers every day for your sister. I hope everything continues to get better for her. I hope her kids are treating her better!!

Christine...I still have the count down running!!! You are almost there now!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!

Trish...I hope you didn't stay up all night working on that dress!! You have fun Easter things to do with your daughter, grandchildren and friends too!!!

If I feel better later I am going to try to get some laundry done. I only have a couple small loads. My cleaning fairy didn't come this week. She may be out again next week. If so they better send me someone else!

I will check in again later. I hope everyone has a good day!

Prayers for all of our precious OFF Family and their families.

Loads of love and buckets of hugs to all.....connie d

Morning Connie and OFF family yet to come in...

SUN IS OUT HERE!!!!!    BUT...its only 29* BRRRRRRRR!!!! Wish mother nature would make up her mind what she wanted to do!!!!

No Connie our tenant Dinner is not til Tuesday. AND...looks like a storm that day. Go figure. So far 13 people signed up for this dinner. Seems there are a couple that have their nose out of joint over the Christmas dinner. Why you ask? Well...seems they didn't like me giving out gifts to non tenants. (some tenants brought their mother or grandchildren) Anyhow these people that were non tenants got the cheap gifts...$1.00 or free that I picked up on my travels shopping. Also nose out of joint tenant said these that brought guests only brought ONE dish to pass for the dinner...OK here is where I stepped in...DID ANYONE GO HOME HUNGRY? NO!!! PLENTY OF FOOD LEFT OVER!!!!! DID ANYONE GO HOME WITHOUT A GIFT? NO!!!!!! NON TENANTS GOT THE CHEAPER GIFTS...TENANTS GOT THE MORE EXPENSIVE GIFTS!!!! WHATS THE PROBLEM???? ALSO TWO OF THE NON TENANTS WERE HOME FROM BOOT CAMP AND WERE GOING TO KOREA TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY!!!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!! ALSO WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF YOU THAT TAKE FOOD TO TENANTS THAT DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE TENANT FUND ONE CENT?? THAT IS OK???????? ITS OK FOR ME TO DO "ALL" THE WORK ALL THE TIME LIKE CLEANING THE CLUB HOUSE ROOM, DECORATING, PUTTING UP THE TREES, TAKING THE TREES DOWN, SHOPPING FOR THE GIFTS, WRAPPING THE GIFTS, SHOPPING FOR THE FOOD, USING MY GAS, WEAR AND TEAR ON MY CAR....ALL THAT IS OK......NEVER ANY HELP FROM ANY TENANT.........YEAH THAT IS ALL AOK RIGHT?????? Tenant that called me said it wasn't her that was upset...I told her to tell the one that was this then!!!!!!! If Easter dinner wasn't already planned........KMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right now I feel like not even putting the table cloths on the dam tables and see how they react!!!!!! If only these 13 people show up I guarantee there will NOT be a 4th of July BBQ planned!!! And IF we do have one it will be from word of mouth only to certain tenants here!!!!!!!!! I am so sick and tired of damed if I do and damed if I don't!!! I said what if we just forget the gifts...oh that would be ok...I saod good...no gifts...why bother with the tree...that's fine too...good no gifts no tree... why bother with anything like the dinners then? Just forget the whole thing of getting together!!!!!! I told this tenant that I had no family here at all and considered the tenants my family. I loved doing these get togethers and this is how I get thanked. Told her to pass that along!!! Well I made a letter up to get passed out AFTER this dinner and trust me it is NOT nice!!!!!!

Tonight is the Monthly drawing at the VFW...OMG over $6,000.00 keeping fingers and toes crossed!!!!! Making Rick go tonight....pray one of us wins that pot!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Rick is ready to go shopping...lol need food for tomorrow for us...supposed to be nice out so we want something for the grill....YUMMMMMMMMMMM

OH...heard on the police scanner about 230am Michael's sugar plum got pulled over for speeding!!!!!!!!!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL MY OFF FAMILY AND THEIR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!

Thoughts and Prayers to ALL that need them!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Judy....has everyone gone mad around there OMG!! They act more like Jr High kids....some even toddlers!!! I would lose my mind!! I think you have a good idea...everyone signs up for something then they can come to the party!!!

YOU made my day....I sat here laughing so hard when I read that Michael's little Sugar Plum got stopped for speeding. I hope she had too much to drink and got a DUI too!!!!

I am glad you aren't having the party this weekend. I am sure they won't like that either. That way you aren't using your time off to feed them!!

I have already said a prayer for your sister. I then sent one in hopes that you win that jackpot tonight....woooohooo!!!

I so envy you getting to grill out. I never have that anymore.

You have a good day....Good Luck tonight!!!!!

Lots of love and many hugs.....connie d

Good Morning Connie and Judy, and all to follow..........  Sunny and bright today; I'm loving it!!

Connie -- there seem to be so many of us that have trouble sleeping, maybe we can arrange to play some on-line games together starting at 2:00 a.m or so.     BTW, I'm glad Nic got the car title transferred to his name.  That type of thing should be taken care of right away.  Easter for me will be quiet.  I've got a basket for Taylor which I could give her today, but I don't like to do that because I don't want to "steal the thunder" from Easter morning with her Mom and Dad.  So I probably won't get to give it to her until next week.

Judy - You've got some real humdingers for tenants.  Seems people just feel entitled to everything, and don't lift a finger to help.  It's a shame really.  Maybe if you have a 4th of July get-together you can make a sign-up sheet and tell people it's not going to happen unless they sign-up for set-up, clean-up, garbage detail, etc.  If they don't help, they don't come.  Don't let it get you aggravated.  BTW, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you "score" the $6,000, or at least part of it!!

Enjoy the beautiful day all!!

Hi Mary.....It is sunny and bright here today too. The wind has settled down, I had a wonderful walk outside. It was 37 degrees and hopefully it will warm up to 48 later. We were supposed to have 60 and 70 degree weather this weekend...they are never right....I think I better contact Judy's weather person!!

LOL....getting a group together at 2 AM could work! I don't play any kinds of computer games.I can be the cheerleader!!!  I like plain old board games with my family!! There sure are enough of us not sleeping!!

So I take it Taylor went home yesterday. I thought maybe she would be spending the night again. I suppose she should be home for the Easter Bunny in the morning. She is young enough to enjoy things like that yet. I always loved that part of Easter with my children!!

Are you going to your daughter's tomorrow? I opted to stay home. It is too much traveling for me. The kids all work early the next day. They would have to bring me home Sunday night or a week night. Too much hassle!

Have a good rest of the day!!

Much love and oodles of hugs.....connie d

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Im at my brother's for the weekend and we are having Easter today.  It will be fun to watch the kids Easter egg hunt later.  When I went to my Dr's appt, he stopped my diabetic medicine and decreased my medicine for neuropathy and said if I was doing okay at the end of the month I could stop that.  Maybe at my next appt he will stop my B/P med if my blood pressure is low. Im so glad I had this surgery.

Christine hope you have a safe surgery and a fast recovery.

Prayers for everyone.

Hugs,

Yvonne

Hi Yvonne...Isn't it a wonderful feeling to start getting rid of some of those medications!! That alone was worth the surgery!! Good for you...you are doing an awesome job!!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Good Afternoon Connie, and OFF Family,

I had a fun morning.  My church organizes the town's Easter egg hunt, and boy was it great!!!  We have an artist who does a Gospel lesson with paint for the kids.  Then, there were over 4,000 eggs with candy and prizes in them.  They divide the kids into three age groups, preschool, K-2nd grade, and 3rd to 5th grade.  So, Trent took Frankie to the preschool field, and Colleen and I went to the K-2nd grade field with Izzy and Lincoln.  Then, the kids had to check the eggs to see if there was a prize in it.  Lincoln won a little ball with spikes on it.  He got a slip of paper to go to the prize table.  We also got pictures with the Easter bunny.  Then, they had drawings for bigger prizes.  Play tents for younger kids, scooters for Izzy and Lincoln's ages and bikes for the older kids.  The Lions club gave away hot dogs and baked goods for donations.  The sun shined, and it was cold, but fun.  I live a block away from where it was held, so I walked down.  One of Lincoln's cousins won a play tent.  Izzy was disappointed that she didn't win anything, but she got a ton of candy.  What's funny is there was a ton of chocolate candy, but years ago, Colleen suggested I not get chocolate, in case it melts out on the field in the sun.  So, I got Skittles and Starbursts.  When Lincoln found those in his eggs, he was so excited, "My favorite!!!"  I was glad.  Franklin got a cool egg shaped like Darth Vader's helmet.  After they emptied their eggs, there were recycling bins for the plastic eggs, except Frankie kept that one cool one.

I didn't work on the dress yesterday.  I'll work on it this afternoon.  Doubt I'll fini****

Judy, try not to take the tenants childishness so personally.  You are not going to make some people happy, no matter what you do.  Getting upset only makes you miserable.  There are some people you just can't please.  I have that with Mom.  I have a hard time coz in my rule book, Moms are supposed to love their kids unconditionally.  Nonfamily is different.  I had to learn to let what people say behind my back, or to my face, roll off me like water off a duck's back.  I build a shield, not a thick one, and just let most of the negativity roll off me.  I figure that the person has more problems than I know, and that they lack people skills.

Connie, I'm sure that Grace and Nic will be thrilled with what you send.  I found some stickers to add to the kids' goodies.

Can't remember who else posted.  Sorry.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, as well as blessed Passover.

Love, Hugs,, and Prayers,

Trish

Hi Tri**** sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family and everyone else too. I am glad the kids all had so much fun!! They always look so forward to those egg hunts!!

You just quit thinking about that dress. You will like it better if you wait and can take your time doing it. Just my opinion.

I never got to eat my dinner yesterday. It was just to late when I got back home yesterday.  I enjoyed it today. We had a large piece of the yummiest salmon. We also had  baked potato and a wonderful blend of all kinds of veggies. I ate 1/2 for lunch and ate the rest for dinner. What a yummy treat!!!

I just relaxed most all the day. I read my Nook off and on and started a new puzzle too. I went back and forth with that two. It was quiet and I so needed a day like this!!

Love and tons of hugs ...connie d

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

No plans for Easter. I'll be working. From what I understand, my family isn't doing anything either. My brother Gary is going to see mom at her assisted living facility. He brought her a TV on Friday because hers broke. He's got to get the old one (he bought that one on Labor Day) into the store to see if they can fix it or give him a new one.

I had a hell of a day at work last night. Couldn't connect to the network for some reason. Wasted an hour and a half of my day when I could have been doing work trying to get on the network. Then the IT folks didn't tell me it was fixed; I found out by rebooting and getting on that it was fixed. I was pissed.

Handyman was here yesterday and spent five hours working on the toilet. Now we have a whistling toilet. He put a new valve assembly on it. It's damn annoying. Richard says this guy doesn't know what he's doing.

Judy, those tenants are a bunch of jerks. Don't go out of your way to do anything for them.

Well, not much else happening. I should get ready for work. Have a good day.
