SATURDAY HAPPENINGS
Hi Mary...I hope you enjoy the bike....I know people that really like them. Any exercise is better then no exercise. Got to keep that heart rate up!!!
I hope you can get help with some home improvements. I know you would love to have those things done. There are agencies that help senior people. Contact senior programs. They will be listed in your phone book. Senior Linkage has lists of places you can call. Many programs find volunteers to help you with the work. Prayers and hugs!!!
Keep working on staying on track with your eating. I had a horrible day last Thursday. I ate everything bad that I could find!! I made myself get back on track Friday. We all have days....don't let it lead to weeks...try hard...I am here for you!!!! We all are!! We won't judge you ever!!
Much love and many hugs to you....connie d
Hey there girls,
you are all so funny and so friendly, and your writings are like sitting and visiting together over coffee. It's a lovely and warm feeling to catch up on what is happening in your lives and your families. And you all make me laugh pretty hard!
We woke up to SNOW here today, no word of a lie. Enough is enough now! I am ready to work in the garden! LOL! Well thank fully the snow didn't accumulate, but it's very cold today and feels like winter. So we worked on some indoor projects around the house. It was a quiet day, all in all, nothing crazy. I did more vocal practice today, which felt good to do. I am logging my meals pretty faithfully in myfitnesspal, which Is a good habit to build for post surgery - I can keep track of protein, and all my other nutrition goals, quickly and easily. I'm doing pretty well today, no food funerals! I didn't do any formal workout today but I think I am ready to start again tomorrow. With a week to surgery I just can't risk any relapses but if I still feel well tomorrow I am getting on my stationary bike to get that blood flowing. It's my savior, since my knees are so bad! Walking is very painful for me but I can bike for a good long time and get some exercise that way. I know the knees will feel better with some weight off, and one of the things I look forward to is walking for enjoyment and for exercise.
Please remind me about this statement when I complain about walking post-surgery!
Oh golly I keep getting interrupted by my dog, who apparently needs to take a walk himself :-) sorry I missed the personal updates - catch up with you all tomorrow over coffee!
Hugs,
Christine

Hi Christine......I always used to say to newbies..." Sit in your chair..put your feet up...have a coffee/water...and join in with us". That is about the same thing. Most times that is how I feel. A big coffee group!
We have silliness, concern, caring, lots of laughs, sadness, loneliness, chronic health issues with us or a family members and lots of LOVE!! When we find a sista needing support we all try to be there to help. This is the best group OH has to offer!!! We truly care!!!
