Well hello ladies,

I haven't seen a daily thread posted so I thought I would start us off.  Nothing much new since I posted last night, but I am certainly feeling better.  I think the flu is behind me at last!

I am puttering around the house today and started tackling some of my house cleaning/ spring cleaning projects.  Took a quick lunch break and now I will jump on my exercise bike for 30 minutes.  I'm looking forward to getting back on my exercise routine after 4 days of being too sick!

Hope you everyone is well, and sending prayers to all.

Will check back later to see if anyone stops by!

Christine

Hi Christine and my OFF family to come:

I haven't been able to post much lately. Been busy with work. The NCAA tournament has kept me busy slapping basketball stories together (Christine, if you don't know, I work as a copy editor on a newspaper and primarily put together sports pages). Saturday night was a 10-hour shift, ending with an overtime game (Notre Dame-Butler) and last night we also had a late game, although not as late as Saturday. This is my Friday ... I work Thursday-Monday. I'm pretty pooped by Monday.

Haven't checked on what everyone has been doing. Hope Vickie and Butch are OK.

I had a good, long Skype talk with my brother Gary yesterday. He's coming down for my birthday weekend. I'm looking forward to see him. He got a hotel room so he won't have to sleep on the floor (although Richard offered his bed ... but Gary, I'm sure, would rather sleep in his own room). Can't wait to see him. I had planned to go up to Chicago and see friends and family and visit with my mom, but this will be good too because now Gary can see Evansville and decide whether he'll move here when he retires at first.

Well, that's all for now. Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello Christine and everyone....

Christine and all those who sent messages to me....I love you all.     I can seem to lose almost anything but not my OFF family. Vickie you were right too.

I really don't want to go into things right yet. I am in contact with my therapist and doctor. I will be okay. A little at a time.

I sat and thought about all of you and cried because I missed you so much. That isn't the way to go!! Jeannie you were so right!!! This is my biggest support...this wonderful group right here!!!

Thank you for loving me just the way I am!!

Christine .....I am so glad you are feeling better today. It sounds like you had a rough few days. Sorry....I should have answered you. I did pray for you every day. Spring cleaning..that is fun....it sure does feel great when it is all finished! Don't you exercise too much after being sick. Your body is weak and needs to recover!! Thank you for the thoughtful message!!

As for me....I am doing okay....last week was really rough. Thank goodness I have a wonderful therapist and all you special ladies/sista's!

I didn't do much at all this weekend. Kyleigh and Mitch came up for the day Saturday. They took me out to dinner and that was very nice. Pam joined us at the restaurant too. Then we had to make a quick jog over to my storage unit. They wanted to pick up Kyleigh's bike. They didn't have room for it in the truck when they got the rest of her things moved. They left for home then. Pam gave me a ride home. First we had to stop at the grocery store. We weren't there long, about 15-20 minutes. I only needed four things. Two in produce and two in dairy. I came home and crashed for awhile. I did enjoy my time with the kids!! I miss not having them around more. Between school and jobs everyone is so busy including Amanda and Tyler...of course Lucas too!

Carrie (daughter) said I should start thinking about moving to the Twin Cities. All the kids live there and they could all be around to help me out when I needed it...her too! I am thinking about it. I just hate moving!!!

I don't every want to leave here again!! I am so grateful for every one of you!!

Have a wonderful day/evening!!

Prayers for our precious OFF Family and their families too.

Tons of love and bushels of hugs....connie d

Hi Christine and Eileen and all my sistas!

Christine, it's nice to have you start the thread and I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better.  That ol' flu can be downright nasty!  Hard to get over the lingering effects, so don't overdo and relapse, okay?

Eileen, I can only imagine what March Madness must do to your deadline schedule!  Got to be keeping you hoppin'!  I'm glad Gary is coming for a visit.  I still hope he'll decide to move there with you.  I can see that working out for everyone.

Well, ding-dong, the boat is gone!  Which old boat?  The pontoon boat!  Yippee!  David came and got it this morning.  I've called the insurance company and dropped our coverage on it--finally.  Oh, we really should have sold that boat (and the RV) last year, but better now than even later, right?  My driveway looks HUGE now without that big old boat taking up over half of it.

I think I've sold the back lot we own here to one of our neighbors.  Ed came and asked me about it yesterday.  We didn't talk prices, but he said when we are ready to sell it, would I please give him the first option for it.  I said, "Yes!"  Little by little, eh?

I was Up All Night last night.  Ugh!  I'm not sure what was going on.  Too much on my mind, I guess.  Between Butch and Carrie and selling all this stuff and worrying about coordinating the move, etc., my brain is on overload.  All I know is my tail is draggin' today!  I think I may have to take a little lie down.  I don't want to nap and screw up my sleep again tonight, but my head feels like it weighs 20 lbs right now.  It just wants to drop down and sleep!

(Now why couldn't I do that last night, hmmm?)

Butch is trying to eat a bit more, which is a good thing, but he's still spending an awful lot of time lying down.  PT comes tomorrow and we'll see if she can get him moving again.

Love you all and think of you and pray for you always.  Connie, we love and miss you, sweetie!  Come on back when you are ready.  We're here for you!

Hi Vickie....Ding Dong the Boat is Gone!!! I am sure your driveway looks deserted. That was one big pontoon!!

I think it is great that your neighbor wants to buy some of your land. God is good!! Little by little you will be in your new home!!

It is wonderful that Butch is eating more...I pray he continues. You are right he needs to be up more. I hope the PT can encourage him to do more tomorrow!

I hope you laid down and rested a bit....that is what you need. I agree nights are not when we are sleeping and it should be!

I missed you too my dear friend!! Staying away from here is not the answer to anything!! We need each other!!

Time to get my 2nd walk in for today. The snow we got this morning is all melted already. I will take a jacket with me and see if I can get outside for a bit and I mean a bit!! It is only 32 degrees out there!!

Much love and more hugs to you....connie d
