Good Afternoon Ladies!

Sounds like a lot of us are going thru it! It sucks to have medical issues...I am so sick of going to doctors, testing, etc., but thankfully no emergency related problems.

Hope you are doing better, Patricia! doing kitchen cabinets is a huge job so definitely take it easy!

Judy, sorry you have so much on your plate right now. It sounds overwhelming. Don't you feel like you're in a 1-2 punch situation? Once you get thru one crisis it's another.

We got bad news yesterday. My husband's 34 yo son was told he has lung cancer and will probably not survive it! I don't understand why his lung doctor would tell him that...like Judy we are like WTF!!! When I had my uterine biopsy come up positive for cancer my regular gyno just told me it looked low grade and referred me to an oncologist. The oncologist told me they could not tell me how serious until after the hysterectomy. So I don't get this lung doctor, and I believe NO doctor can really predict how long you have...especially this early on.

So anyhow this sucks! Plus he is in the Midwest and we are on the East Coast...

I do feel good about my 1st pre-op meeting with the nutritionist. I had started making some major changes on my own in preparation for the surgery...more protein & water/less carbs and lost 16 lbs. since January. She went over a lot of things with me and I am not having a hard time following her suggestions. I thought it'd be a lot harder after 58 years of junk food and sweet tea.

So at least this is going well.

Everyone have a good (or better!) day!

Kathy

Kathy...I am so sorry to hear that your husband's 34 year old son has lung cancer. That young and they are saying it is terminal already. That doesn't seem right.  Did he smoke a lot or work in a area that was not safe? I hope he gets another opinion!! I am saying prayers for him.

I am sorry too that your uterine biopsy came up positive for cancer.I am glad you will be seeing on oncologist soon. They decided you need a hysterectomy already. They do things fast around there!! I am definitely praying for you too!!!

Yes...this all does SUCK!!!!!

I am glad all is going well as far as making changes for your WLS surgery. It is important to start those eating habits early and not wait for the surgery. I am so proud of you!!

Love and lots of hugs....connie d
