So Sad
I just found out my tenant and next door neighbor Bernie passed away in his sleep. I did get over to see him Friday afternoon with Bandit which is one wish he wanted...to see Bandit again. He seemed in good spirits and happy to see Bandit and myself. We talked and enjoyed each others company for the few moments we were there. He had his oxygen arrive and some other things so we left. Glad I went when I did. Rick went yesterday and he was sleeping. Hospice said he was very out of it...Breaks my heart. He went so fast. Glad he didn't suffer long though.
RIP Bernie.
Judy...I am so sorry for your loss. I know you really cared about them. May Bernie rest in peace. It is hard when they go so quickly. On the other hand you didn't want him suffering. He just slipped away. He is in Heaven now running around playing with your dog that died...I can't remember his name. 
It was godsend that you took Bandit over to see Bernie. It seemed like that was what he was waiting for.

Connie I was thinking that very same thing!!!! OMG!!!! Dee was always saying how much Bernie would like to see Bandit...I was always so darn busy....but when she came over to let us know he was on hospice...I HAD to take him over!!! But so fast he went.....he seemed so "good" ya know? But then they say you always seem to be doing "good" just before you die...
Spike was the other Shih Tzu....
