T.G.I.F.
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Getting on here late tonight again. Spent most of the afternoon at my ortho doc's urgent care. Richard and I left at 11 a.m., got there about 11:30. He dropped me off and went to park to car, and I saw urgent care closed at 11:30 am. for lunch. So we left and went to IHOP for lunch. Both of us had burgers; I only ate half of mine. Boy, it was good. Then we got back to urgent care about 12:40 or so, got into the office about 12:50 and then I got x-rays of my knee; then I waited a good half hour before I saw someone. It was Bethany, who's the pain doc's PA (although I didn't recognize her ... I have such a bad memory unless I'm being told who I'm seeing). Anyway, nothing is wrong with my knee, just a big swollen bruise. I had already called in sick because although I could bend it better, it still hurt to do it much (and if I have to sit with it bent all night, it was going to hurt too much). I told my boss she'd rather have me there on Saturday, when we're much busier, than on Friday when it's a bit slower. I feel bad about it, but I really am in pain ... even being out all afternoon made me miserable.
We made one stop on the way home, just to CVS so I could get some B12 and floss picks. Out of both ... I like the floss picks at work because I have a tooth in the rear that food gets stuck in.
I'm glad my knee is OK, although I wi**** didn't hurt so much. Bethany wrapped it with an Ace bandage, but it was so tight it was hurting me, so I took it off when I got home. Both Richard and I were tired when we got home (I made Richard drive; I had taken a pain pill), so we haven't done a whole lot since we got home. I've barely gotten through my email.
Glad you made it home, Trish.
Vickie, glad you have made a deal on the house; hope Butch can be painfree for a while. I'm sorry you two are going through this when you should be enjoying retirement.
Connie, I can sympathize with you about the pain issues this winter. Although it hasn't been as bad here as it is in Minneswota, I go through similar things here when the temps drop and we have a storm, as we did this week.
This recent accident has really sapped my energy. I'm so tired. I just want to sleep. I may have to take extra caffeine with me tomorrow.
Have a good night.
Hello Eileen...I finally got a chance to look on Facebook and saw the pic of your knee. It looks so sore!! I am glad you aren't working tonight. I hope tomorrow will be a better day!! Time to get that bubble wrap mailed out to you!! LOL!!!
It sounds like you had a long morning at the clinic...no wonder you are tired!!
I really think that fatigue has to do with Fibromyalgia. At least it is for me!! I couldn't get a darn thing done all day. I had to take a Vicodin and I rarely ever give in and take one. It is a bad day!!!
You are right...when we have accidents it really does knock us for a loop. We want to sleep a lot more. Our bodies just don't bounce back like they used to.
I hope you have a great night's sleep tonight.
Love and hugs to you....connie d
