Happy Valentine's Day to all my lovely Sistas!
Happy Valentine's Day Vickie, and all my OFF Sistas,
I'm busy packing for my trip. I also have to go over to Colleen's to drop off Valentines. I got stickers for the kids to put in their cards. Yesterday, I had the fun of going through Lincoln's Valentines from school. He got tattoos, candy, bouncy balls, lollypops, etc. He got two bouncy balls, so he gave one to Franklin. They had a blast.
I better get moving. Tons to do.
Love,
Trish

Hi Trish.. I forgot to say "Happy Valentines Day" to you so here it is!!
I am sure you had fun going over Lincoln's Valentine's. I loved that with my daughters and my granddaughters too. I wish I could be with my Gracie today!!
Like I said earlier....keep safe...could you text me when you get there please. I just want to be sure you made it.
I am still praying for your mom, sister and of course you too.
Much love to you and oodles of hugs too...connie d
Thanks Judy,
I'm not traveling till tomorrow. I've checked the Weather Channel's hourly forecast for Toledo tomorrow. The snow should be cleared out by the time I get to Ohio tomorrow. I know about the bad winds and low temps. I'll check the Ohio Turnpike's travel advisories first thing in the morning.
Hugs,
Trish

Thanks for the reminder. I have everything but the flares. I will pick some up before I get on the turnpike tomorrow. I appreciate the reminder. It's wicked cold this weekend.
Hugs,

Hello sweet sistas!
It's me again. I got interrupted earlier, so I'll try to finish my post now.
Well, we are very happy to be HOME. We got here yesterday around 2 p.m. and immediately fell into our big, cozy, comfy bed and slept! I was just completely worn out. Didn't do much of anything all evening either. No FB, or OFF, or email, or anything! Just made some soup (which Butch wouldn't eat) and watched some TV and crocheted.
So, it seems that my husband's tastes have completely changed. Now this is a man who has always LOVED onion! I mean loved it. Eat it raw at every meal if I would let him. (I cannot count the number of nights I've had to sleep beside a man *****EKS of onion breath!) So I was sauteing a little onion last night for the soup, and he told me the smell was making him nauseous. And he couldn't eat the soup at all. He had banana and cornflakes for his supper instead. He only wants bland foods these days.
We have absolutely NO PLANS for today at all. No driving, no traffic, no appointments, no obligations, NOTHING. Sounds like sheer heaven to me.
We will have four days at home, and then we have to go back to Houston next Tuesday evening. Butch will have new scans done on Wednesday (the doctor wants him to have new scans for a baseline before starting chemo), and then his first round of the new chemo on Thursday. Please pray that he can somehow find the strength and stamina to go through with the new treatment. I plan to coddle him and feed him and take care of him the very best I know how the next four days so he's ready for the new challenges next week.
I am trying to get back to eating right again. I did pretty good the last couple of days. I bought fresh fruit instead of cookies! I just ordered this new thing called "Thrive" from Grammylew (she's on FB now) and we'll see how well it works. Carolyn says it took away her cravings for sweets. Boy, do I need that! We'll see how well it works. I think Connie and Judy are also trying it.
Well, that's all the news from the Hill Country today. I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's day. I'm staying home and staying AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE! LOL!
Love you all!
