It's Friday.......what's new with you???

I Googled it and there's something selling on eBay. I don't know if it's her or someone selling it for her. Anyway, I asked a question or maybe you can answer it. I'm rather allergic to fragrances. How heavy of a floral scent is there, since it has lavender in it (I mistakenly bought lavender Swifter refills and boy, couldn't stand to be in the car with those!)?

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

I don't think I've ever balanced my checkbook ... I was never good at math. I'm not proud of that fact, just the way it is. The rest of my family has the math skills; I have the left brain skills of being creative. I missed out on the numbers skills. If I didn't have a calculator, I'd be lost on math.

Well, my brothers got Mom settled in her new home. Gary posted photos and she looks happy (although it's a little out of focus ... Gary's hand tends to shake a bit because of the arthritis in his neck that pinches the nerves that go down into his hands). He said she made a friend at lunch ... person offered Mom her ice cream. I'm just happy she's out of that crappy nursing home she was in. That place was too big and too much like a hospital. Here, she has a regular bed, a recliner so she can get her feet up (her legs were so swollen from being down all day) and a place that looks like home. I told my brother that it must have felt like moving someone into a college dorm. He said yes ... Mom hasn't moved since 1959, when we moved into the house where I grew up. I was 4 then. She wanted to die there, but she couldn't live there anymore. This place is homey but has people who will take care of her.

Don't know if I told you, but Richard is back. He slept most of yesterday but was up this morning (well, afternoon). It's good to have him back. Never thought I'd get along with a roommate at this age, but I actually missed having him around. He's going to get my apartment cleaned ... he loves doing this stuff. Plus, he's going to cook for me ... just the kind of man I need! (And none of the other stuff ... we're just friends.)

I hope Vickie and Butch are OK. Didn't see a post for them. Connie, I hope you're resting and not in too much pain. I know what you go through. I have had some pain the past two days, but nothing horrible. Just a persistent headache and some pain in my left calf (I was pushing around a recliner ... I think that's where that came from). Judy, I would love to have a front-row seat to the eviction.

Well, have a good night everyone. I don't have any stories yet, but soon, I hope.

Hi Eileen.....I am horrible with punctuation/grammar. So we are even....I love working with numbers....you love editing/creative!!

I am am so glad your brothers got your mom settled in her new home. I am sure she will like it much better there. I wish her well. Now you all have the headache of sorting through everything and packing it up. That is a lot of work!!

I am glad Richard made it back safely. He will be a good roommate. He doesn't mind cleaning and cooking. That will make it easier for you.

I agree...we haven't heard much from Vickie. I hope all went well and they are home once again. At least for the weekend!

I took a hour and a half nap. I swear I could have slept straight through until morning again!! I am going back to bed soon. I feel like I really need to.

Sorry you have a headache again and pain in your left calf. Hopefully that is better by now.

Have a good night at work.

Love and hugs to you.....connie d
