Jennifer....I know I hesitated with posting this good news about Nic. I felt really bad when there are so many here with cancer, especially with Butch's bad news.
Then I decided to post because everyone was praying and worried about Nic. I wanted all of you to know how wonderful the praying and other things were for Nic. We all know the power of prayer!!!
Love and hugs to you....connie d
Hi Connie and OFF family to come.
Tried the Fat Buster Soup last night, choc-a-bloc with veggies and beans, plus I was sproutibg winter sprouts from dry beans, so chucked a handfull in for some crunch as veggies all pretty soggy after so many hours in crockpot. Found the soup bland for me, so added some Malaysian hot sambal, and then a small handful of shredded cheddar, like for pizza and could finally get it down. Was hungry at 3 am as nothing really consistent, had I not put crunchy sprouts in and the cheese, would consider it a "slider food" so easy to get down as everything soft and liquid. We need solid protein and veg to fill our RnY pouches, and stick there for a while, although did feel full after bowl of soup. More like veggie stew.
Thinking of adding cooked diced chicken breast to remaining portions to add more solid protein.
cheers
Jennifer
Wonderful news Connie! Praise the Lord!
For those who are not on Facebook, Butch does indeed have lung cancer. Going for a brain scan this afternoon. Got a PET scan next Wednesday. Hopefully be ready to meet with the lung doctor by the end of next week.
They have taken him off the I V drugs and he is being transitioned to oral pain meds for the next 24 hours. If he does well on those we may get to go home tomorrow for a few days. He will test easier there and regain his strength more easily we hope.
We did not buy the house and farm. Can't remember if I told y'all that or not.
More to tell but it will have to wait until I have my computer again. Love you all!
Vickie...I am here for you and Butch....anytime!!
I wish I could help in some other way...prayers and love is all I have....and gentle hugs too. We have a really awesome prayer groups. I have people from all over the US praying, and even friends in Australia, London and other countries. We won't give up!!!
You don't have to be worrying about us. We understand why it is impossible for you to post. We all know you care and appreciate our sentiments and prayers.
I pray that Butch can stay off the IV medication and that you can go home if only for a few days. You can both relax better there and get some good rest.
I love you....keep strong....although I don't know how you do it. You are an amazing woman!!!!!
Loads of love and bunches of hugs....connie d
