Hi Yvonne, and welcome.
I'm Trish, and I started posting here on OFF when I was 50 also. My surgery was eight years ago, but took me a year to find this group. We've been there for each other through everything.
I had my surgery in PA, where I used to live, but moved to Perry, Michigan two years ago, because my daughter and her family, my only grandchildren, live here. Perry is a podunk, one horse town east of Lansing. Being from a Philadelphia suburb, I'm just getting used to driving 30 minutes to see doctors or get bargains at the big grocery stores. We have an IGA and a Rite Aid here, plus some fast food places, because we actually are an exit of I-69. I'm also just getting used to having the daily temps stay below 32 degrees, nonstop, for two solid months. Philly temps usually go above 32 degrees, except occasional freezes. Snow actually melts between storms out there. Here, we have snow, and it'll stay while we get more. But, since my Munchkins live two minutes away, I'm thrilled to live here.
Love ya.

Good Evening OFF Family,
I'm late, but here finally. When I first got home from church, I sent Vickie a long email, just encouraging her as best I could. Since then, I got to watch the Packers send the Cowboys home for the season. Sorry Vickie. Us Eagles fans do not ever root for the Cowboys.
Church was good. I took the poncho I'm making for Izzy with me, to try it on her friend, who is almost as tall as her. I still need about six more inches to make it the length I want.
I have to scoot over to the church in a few minutes to grab something off the desk outside the nursery. I have to write an annual report for nursery, and there's a poem I want to use in my report.
Connie, I'm praying for Nic. I plan to email you later tonight. Won't be till much later, so you might want to check it tomorrow.
Love to all.

No worries, Trish. Y'all know I don't follow sports much. LOL! I suppose if I was going to roote (sp?) for anyone, it would be the Cowboys, but I just pretty much ignore all of it.
It's not quite 10 p.m., but I have us all packed and ready to leave early in the morning. Chris came out to spend some time with her daddy. I tell y'all, I don't know what to think. I know those pills are gone, but she sure doesn't act like she took them. I don't know. We had all that company over Christmas. Maybe one of them took the pills. Or maybe Mike did, but I just can't imagine that scenario either. Chris is so concerned and so gentle and tender with her dad. I'm just going to write it off. I can't prove anything and I'm tired of thinking about it.
I'll post tomorrow after we get to Houston and hopefully get Butch settled in the hospital with some good pain meds.
Night, night!
