Good morning everyone....

Well another night of insomnia!! I am really getting sick of this. No sleep means more pain and fatigue. Just what I need.

So what is your Saturday looking like? Do you have anything fun planned for today? I am not planning much of anything. I did go out and work on the puzzle for a bit yesterday. We finished it. I hope they start a new one today. Sometimes they leave it sit out for a few days so everyone can see it finished. They started a new puzzle down on first floor. I can always go work on that one if I want to. Such excitement!!!

I am trying to get out and walk a couple times a day. I go a little further on some days then others. It isn't very far but a little improvement will help. I do what I can do.

I hope everyone has a good day!!

Prayers for our sweet OFF family and their families.

I will check back in later to see who leaves a post.

Lots of love and many hugs to all....connie

Morning Connie and OFF family yet to come in...

Well we have icy walks and Rick is out putting salt down...Where is Chase?????????? We both have tried calling him and his phone is not WORKING???????? Well he was told to be here if there was ice...Rick is over on the other side doing the ice now...IF Chase is not over there he will be written up come Monday!!!!!!!!!! I am tired of this BS!!!!!!!!! Rick even took him with him to get extra salt the other day to make sure he KNEW there would be a chance of this ice!!!!!! He reminded him last night before he left to be ready for this ice....OK he said. Yeah!!!!!! Chase IS a good worker but is quickly getting on my nerves right now!!! He was told to do TWO things before we left for Michigan. He did ONE of them. WTH??????? He had NOTHING else to do while we were gone but OPEN and CLOSE. He is spending ALOT of his time talking to tenants and on his dam phone!!!!!!!!! That is also going to end this 2015!!!!!!! I am NOT putting up with it anymore!!!!!!!!!! HEAR ME ROAR!!!!!!!!????????

Anyhow the weather is going to warm up into the mid 50's to 60 today...HUH????? Yup that is what I read. Mother Nature is messed up!!! Then come Tuesday the temps DROP!!!! BRRRR!!!!!!!! Freezing our butts off again!!! Wonderful!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

So with weather turning warmer for tonight I guess I will be going to Bingo after all.

So that is it for my day so far...yippee huh??

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

Awww Judy....why do these maintenance people always get involved with the tenants? Once that starts happening they get a bad attitude and then the don't do their job right anymore. He should not be allowed to be on his phone. He can leave it in the office and get it on breaks. They all end up doing the same crap. Less work, spending time with the tenants and talking on their phones. You know what you need to do. Start writing him up. Start posting for another maintenance person. If he thinks you are planning on hiring someone else he just might straighten up. He is just getting too ****y and sure of himself. Good Luck!!!

WOW...50s and 60s....shorts weather!!!! Nothing even close to that here. The next four days are highs of -1, 2,5 and 1. The fist day in the teens will be next Saturday!! I won't be going anywhere very often!!

Have a good time at Bingo!!! I hope you win a big pot of $$.

Love ya...HUGS.....connie d

Good Morning Connie and OFF,

Well, I woke up to some snow on the ground.  It was not enough to completely cover the grass, but enough to have the plow try to clear my street.  I had planned to go to the Y, but think I'll shovel and salt my driveway and the walks instead.  At least it's exercise.  I'm hoping this weekend is not identical to this time last year.  That's when we got 30+ inches of snow the entire weekend, which didn't melt till the end of February, beginning of March.  If they weren't calling for this snowy, icy mess to continue all day, I'd brave the drive, but I won't drive in bad weather.  I wrecked a car on snow and ice.  I don't do reruns of driving messes.

Chris gave me Elizabeth Warren's latest book for Christmas, so I'm set for today.  Plus, I have a Gibbs marathon on USA to keep me company.  He's the hottest thing on TV right now.  I like the show too.  I will watch him any day or night.  Sorry, I'm drooling.

I have some chores to get to before I chill.  Plus, I need to get my journaling done.  I've decided to write my prayers out each day.  It's an exercise I've done before.  I get more personal, and closer to the Lord that way.

Hugs and Love to all.

Trish

Hi Trish....GIBB's ...Oh Yes!!! I watch that show every chance I get. He is luscious!! I love sweet little McGee. Then there is Abby,I love that girl!! Everyone thinks Tony is the hottie...they need to look closer. Even Mr. Palmer is a sexy nerd!!! YUP...I am the one drooling now!!! Don't you think the show was much better when Ziva and Tony were fighting love with each other? That added high chemistry to that show. I don't like the new blonde lady. She has no edge!! I prefer the reruns...over and over any time!!

Stay inside and don't be driving in that mess. People just don't pay attention to there own driving. You will get hit for sure!

I like the idea of writing your prayers out. I may just start doing that myself.

Which book did you get of Elizabeth Warren's? I love her writing.

Love ya...hugs....connie d

Yes, Connie, I love all the characters on the show.  The great thing with Ziva, and Kate before her, is that they both had a chemistry with Tony.  Kate, with her Catholic school girl personality, and Ziva, with the sexy Mata Hari stuff.  And both those characters started that chemistry the first episode they were on with him.  You're right, the new girl does not have that edge.

The book is "A Fighting Chance," by Elizabeth Warren.  It's an autobiographical account of why she does what she does.

I almost forgot to mention that the kids and I made votive candles for Colleen, which I only learned yesterday was the one thing that was on her Christmas list that she did not get.  I wanted to do it before Christmas but I only had time to do the gingerbread project.  Plus, there were only two days I could have done it with them, so I had to choose.  It's an easy, but time consuming project, and the kids were great listeners so they didn't get burned by the hot wax.  I can share the link if anyone is interested.  I posted the picture on my Facebook Timeline.

Hugs,

Trish

Trish....the candles you posted on Facebook are so nice. They turned out just great. I love the colors you used. I bet the kids had fun making them too. They did an awesome job!!

I have candles all over my apartment. We aren't supposed to light candles but I do on occasion. I watch them closely. They always smell so good!!!

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

Another day, more crap coming out of my nose. I'm getting tired of this **** I was feeling better last night when I came home, and then this morning I feel crappy again. I hope the sudafed starts working soon. Doc recommended Afrin spray up the nose and then nasal steroid sprays ... I hate the nasal steroid sprays because they leave me with a sour taste in my mouth. Also, he suggested squirting saline up my nose. I'll look for that today.

It's raining again today, more than yesterday. 50 degrees. No wonder I feel crappy. But it'll be a long day at work because I didn't get much done last night to prepare for today.

Spacey me, I left my phone at work. Realized it when I was about halfway home. I got home, checked my purse and car to make sure it didn't drop out somewhere, then emailed my boss to see if she was still at work (since this is the only phone I have). I asked her if she saw it, if she could put it in my desk, out of sight. She got right back to me, said it was on my desk and she put it in my top drawer. Whew! I remember going to grab it, then got distracted by something else (not difficult).

Connie, I too am trying to walk a little bit every day ... I walk the hall at work every time I get up to go to the bathroom. Now, it's not much, but every little bit helps. Plus, I do leg lifts while I'm sitting in my recliner. Helps to strengthen my quads. Try doing something like that. My chiro always tells me about chair exercises. So I try to do that when I feel I can't walk. Or take some cans and use them to do arm exercises.

Trish, I saw your candles on Facebook ... very nice. I remember making candles back in the 1970s. It was very messy. Hope this wasn't as bad.

Judy, you need to let it go ... Saturday is your day off. Chase needs to do his job. If he's not doing it, then maybe you need to let him know what's what. Hope the weather cooperates up there.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday. I'll be at work.

Eileen, thanks to paper cups and the microwave oven, the mess was controllable, and disposable.  The kids were extremely proud of their accomplishment.

Thanks.
