Fifteen Minutes Till Friday Post

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Yeah, you missed a good Michigan State game. And the Ohio State game was a good one. The Oregon State-FSU one was good only to see Florida State go down. I think the championship will be good. Unfortunately, I have to work that day. 

I still have the crud. My nasal x-ray came back fine, so I emailed my doc and told him I don't care what the x-ray said, I still have green gunk coming out of my nose and up from my coughing, and that means infection. I told him what I was taking, and how I knew it was better to take regular sudafed but all I could get was Allegra-D (antihistamines dry you out too much; when you have the crud, you want it to run out). He told me not to take Allegra-D, just the sudafed. Well, duh! That's what I just said .... doesn't this guy read my email? And I'm almost out of it, so I will have to go and search for more sudafed. I'll have to go away from the center of the city where I live to the main shopping area ... more chance to find things because it's not walkable for the druggies. 

Heard from Richard this morning ... he wants me to sell his bed. He needs money and fast. It's hard to be unemployed and have no money coming in. The bed's not that old and the mattress is top of the line. So I found something online that's comparable and will post it to see what I can get. 

Anyway, haven't even read the paper this morning. Went right online to check my doc's message and reply to him. Time to get in the shower and get some food so I can leave early and search out some sudafed.

Hi Eileen...I had so hoped you would be much better today. I take Sudafed and Tylenol. If I have a cough or flu like symtoms I take Dayquil and at night Nyquil. So far I am holding that nasty crud at bay!! You need to be on an antibiotic or something stronger then what you can buy over the  counter. Go the Urgent Care or ER again if necessary. Are you running a fever with this???

We have to provide a drivers license or picture ID to get Sudafed in Minnesota. They keep records of how much you buy and how often you buy it. All Sudafed must be kept in the pharmacy. They say the system works great as the theft and usage has gone way down. I am sure the druggies are getting it online or at other places.

Richard must have other things besides his bed to sell. That is the last thing I would let go. Men...they are different!!  

Get more rest as you can...take care of yourself.....prayers on the way!

Even with keeping it behind the counter, sudafed goes so quickly. And drugstores can only order so much of sudafed and sudafed products. So those drugstores in the city have nothing left with so much sickness (and the druggies wanting it for meth production). If I go out to the shopping area (which is not within walking distances for most people, I can find more supplies. It's just that it's not on the way into work.
