Good morning sistas!

Please say welcome to Kim if you have a chance today!

Hoping that Carla and Judy have safe travels today!

I'm baking cookies today and I've just finished wrapping presents.  Only I just realized that I never bought any stocking stuffers for Budder!  Oh dear.  Well, I have to go to the grocery store this afternoon.  I'll pick up some little things there.

My house still needs to be cleaned.  When, oh when?  Maybe midnight???  LOL!

Just popped on to see what was happening, but no one is here yet.  I'll check back later.  LOVE you ALL!

Hello Vickie and OFF,

Safe travels for Carla, Judy, and not sure when Connie is traveling.

I was up all night crocheting, wrapping, and watching movies.

I still have wrapping and crocheting to do today.  Tonight I hope to get some backing done.

Must scoot.

Love to all.

Trish

Hi Connie,

Sorry for any confusion about my plans for Christmas.  Colleen and I are not traveling this year.  She and Trent decided to alternate Christmases so they can spend Christmas with each other's family every other year.  We went home last year, so this year we're staying here.  I'm cooking for an early dinner on Christmas Day at her house.  In the evening, we're all going to Trent's aunt's place, not far from here for a party.  They'll go to his parent's on Friday.  I'll miss seeing Chris and Sean this year.  Casey's parents are in New York this year.  They live in St. Louis.  They'll all go to PA Christmas Day to celebrate with my family, then his Dad's.  Casey's parents are lovely people, and I know they'll have a good time.  I could go home, but I really don't feel like traveling since I was just there a month ago.

Better get back to crocheting.  I'm down to the wire, as usual.

Hello our precious Vickie!!!

I did go to Kim's post and welcome her.....she seems like she will be a real asset to our group!!!

I too am praying for all those that will be traveling for Christmas holidays. I know for sure Carla and Judy have a ways to go. Drive carefully and cautiously...there are always those out there driving like maniacs!!!

YOU FORGOT BUDDER...oh my gosh!!! Not Budder!! Sorry a little drama today....I am sure he will enjoy anything you find for him. He is just such a happy little boy!! I had to tease you a bit!!

The cleaning will get done when and if you can get to it. Make sure the bathrooms and kitchen is wiped down and skip the rest!! You will have so many people in there, who will notice!!!

As for me....I just finished my laundry. I need to make a list of things I am bringing to Carrie's and then pack. I won't be needing much. I can wear something of Carrie's if need be.

Pam came over last night and gave me a wonderful back massage...oh did I sleep great!! I really needed that. I had four good days and am now spiraling downward again. Shaky inside and out..started yesterday. I hate when that happens!! I am having a harder time with words again today, Pam noticed it yesterday. I am praying it is all better tomorrow!!!

Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!

Prayers for all of our sweet OFF Family and their families.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Love you much...HUGS....connie d

Oh, dear.  We have a very sick little boy tonight.  Why do children always get sick right before Christmas?  Poor little Benny has an awful ear infection.  He's running a temp and just feels miserable.  Chris took him to the doctor this afternoon and she explained about Butch and the chemo and they assured her that Benny is NOT contagious, so I went and got him.  She has to work late tonight and he doesn't really know Mike's parents, so we're going to keep him here tonight where he's comfortable.  Poor Chris!  She really didn't want to leave him.  SO hard for working mommies!  But she's comfortable leaving him with us.

He's cuddled up with Papaw watching Dennis the Menace.  I have his meds to give him.  I told Chris just to let him spend the night.  She wants to wait and see how he's doing at bedtime, but I understand.  She's his mother.  She wants to take care of him.  It's very hard on her.

At least I got most of what I wanted to do today done earlier.  I'm just reheating the soup I made yesterday for our dinner tonight.  So I'm signing off for now.  Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Hi Vickie.....I am so sorry Benny has an ear infection....poor little guy! Sending healing prayers. Christie sure has proved to be a great mother. She is so caring, loving and proud of her babies. That is just so wonderful. It is equally as wonderful that you can help them out. I am sure little Benny Bop is more comfortable being sick with grandpa and grandma. That should put Christie's mind at ease. It is better not to take him out at night and risk getting sicker.  He will be in great hands with you and Butch!

Relax and enjoy your evening .....and your yummy soup!

More love and more hugs....connie d

Happy surgiversary to me!!!!! One year ago today i had my RNY surgery. I weighed 357 lbs (lost 30 lbs before surgery. My highest weight was 390). This morning i weighed 247 lbs. So 110 lost since surgery, total over all 143.  Yeah!!!!! Surgery was my Christmas gift to myself. It is a priceless and eternal gift. I am down from a snug 6x to a 2x. So a good reason to celebrate.

I am also very sad as i was notified yesterday that my beautiful and beloved Aunt Joan died of a massive heart attack. She was my role model as a large woman. Like me 6'2" tall, 280 plus lbs and always immaculately groomed. She did a lot to boost my self esteem. She was as beautiful in spirit as she was in looks.  I miss her already.

Since i may be traveling for the funeral over Christmas, i want to wish you the most joyous and blessed Christmas.

Blessings,

Francine

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Getting on here late today. I had a back shot today at 12:30 p.m. so I didn't get up until 11 a.m. ... no sense getting up early if I couldn't get or drink. So I get up, go out and look at my cellphone and there's a bunch of texts from my brothers and SIL about my mom. Seems she was vomiting blood this morning and was taken to the hospital. The trick was figuring out which hospital they took her to: they thought the paramedics took her to Resurrection, which the rehab facility is affiliated with, but they actually went to Our Lady of the Resurrection ... didn't know there was such a hospital in Chicago. Anyway, they finally found her. Doctors were running a GI series on her.

So I'm still waiting to hear anything about it. My SIL and oldest brother went back to stay with her mom at the retirement community; my sister stayed with mom. Gary's in Texas with his son's family. And I'm here so I can't do a whole lot.

Everyone seems to be so busy or traveling or getting ready to travel. Me, I have these two days off ... got back from my back shot and boy, was I numb down my left leg. It's better now. I had something to eat and watched TV and then took a good nap. Tomorrow, I'm just hanging around the house ... in getting over to the surgicare facility, my driver and I got stuck in some traffic. The route goes right through the shopping area. So I'm staying home. I've done all my shopping other than trying to figure out something for mom.

Have a good day.
