Have fun with Vinnie today. We had snow flurries last night when I was coming home, but nothing that stuck.
As for me, I still have a bit of a cold. I was munching on an almond last night at work and somehow I had to start coughing. Did that for a good five minutes. I had to stop eating and suck on a cough drop. Yuck ... I hate cough drops. I wish I'd get rid of this crud.
Doesn't matter if I still have the crud at Christmas because I'll be working. My family has their get-together tomorrow and I'm stuck here. I'm pissed at myself because if I knew I had the vacation time, I could have gotten the time off to go. Instead, I'm stuck here again and don't get to see my family at Christmas.
Well, I got a lot of prep work done for the Sunday sports section last night so it should go smoothly tonight, I hope.
Judy, glad you're feeling better and that your mom is home.
Vickie, glad you and Butch are feeling better. But woman, you need to take it easy. You are doing way too much. Just reading your post made me tired. Where are you getting all this energy? Do you have any leftover you can send my way?

Well, I guess that's all. Drinking my second cup of coffee and perusing the Internet. Hope tonight is not too crazy. Looks like at least our basketball will be done early (I'm watching Louisville-W. Kentucky, so that's an early game ... big fight near the end of the first half).

Speaking of sickness...I ate a can of pineapple and that seems to have made me feel better!!! Not sure if that really DID the trick or not but heck you might give it a shot!!! I ate it straight out of the can...

Hello Eileen.....I wish you were feeling better....this crud sure has a hold on you. I am glad you made it home safely last night.
I feel so bad yet about you having that vacation time and not being able to go home. That was the pits!! They should have looked that over sooner. I don't understand how they missed that...a whole week!!! Sorry you will be stuck at work for Christmas. 
It sounds like you are well ahead on getting things set up for tonight. That will make the night go easier....at least I hope so.
Keep taking the meds and resting as you can.

My own fault, Connie, I didn't read the vacation time right. Didn't know I got an extra week. Oh well, I know now. I expected to work on Christmas, but I wanted to have the Sunday before off for my family's gathering. I always work Christmas because I have nowhere to go anyway. I'd just be sitting at home by myself. Better to get the OT.
P.S....Crazy me...I answered everyone and didn't post anything about my day.
Not really much to say...laying low today. My throat is still a little sore, I still have chills too. I am probably just over tired from all I did this week. More then I should have!!
My sleep was all crazy again last night. I was up off and on until about 4:30 AM. I then slept until 10:30. Now my day feels so short. Oh well...GOD is in charge....he only knows the answer.
I heard from both my daughters today. Carrie and Greg are up in Duluth with Greg's brother and their family having Christmas. Jamie is getting over being sick with the crud for over a week. She is resting and such. Megan took Gracie over to make a ton of cookies with their friends. Jamie just plain needed more rest. She worked all week. I spoke with Kyleigh and Mitch this morning they are just chilling today. They have plans with friends tonight. Nic is great!! He is working today. Amanda and Tyler are busy. They just attended a funeral last night for Amanda's cousin. Lots of people around. Lucas of course is with Amanda as it is his cousin too. Sad time for them. Jodi died fairly young and very unexpected.
Did I tell you that Amanda and Tyler are planning on getting married in July. I am so happy for them. They are trying to find an apartment now and also a place to have their reception.They are busy!!
I will quit rambling....I wrote more posts today then I should have. I just love answering everyone when I can!!

Oh, Trish, I'm so sorry for all the bad news today. Of course I'm praying for your friend.
Well, I'm not having such a hot day myself. I got really MAD at my husband this morning over a silly thing, but I just sort of had a little meltdown about it. Then Chris called wanting a favor (I won't bore you with the details) but it was absurd and I said "no" and that set me off again. End result was I cried for about an hour this morning and I'm in a pissy mood today.
So then I sat down to sew up Benny's stocking and Chris never finished cross-stitching the damn thing!!! She never did the final outlining all around the edges. So I'm having to do it before I can sew it and it's put me WAAAAY behind. If it wasn't for Benny, I'd just throw it down, but it IS for him and he's only 4 years old. He doesn't deserve to be the recipient of my bad mood today. So I'm working on it, but it's a big stocking and it's taking me a long time to outline it and my thumb is already aching (which is why I don't do cross stitch any more--arthritis in my hands). I just hope I can fini**** and get it to Chris by 6 p.m. That's when she gets off work tonight and I could just meet her in New Braunfels rather than drive all the way to her house in Cibolo.
I did ask Butch if he felt up to making a double batch of the spicy pecans for me, and he did. I hope to have time to make another batch of the praline pecans, too. Chris needs 9 gift tins and I sure would like to take them to her this evening, along with the stocking, and be done with all of that.
I threw some chicken wings into the crockpot along with some onion, bell pepper, pineapple rings and teryaki sauce. I hope it's edible. Thinking I could serve that over some rice for supper tonight. I sure as hell don't have time to cook dinner today.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to ***** and vent. I'm aggravated with the whole world today. I hope this passes soon. I'd rather be happy than pissy any day, but pissy seems to be my only option today.

Oh Vickie....and I thought your day was going well today. WE all need a day to be pissy once in awhile....today is YOUR day!! I am glad you told Chris...NO....you are doing enough for them now!! Sorry you have to do so much more then planned on Benny's stocking. Guess if you have to finish another for her you better check it over before you let her leave it for you!!!

If you get the house cleaned up good if not too bad!! You are only ONE person and can only do so much. Plus, you have been very sick.
I have an idea....lets go somewhere and have a couple ****tails and forget every thing!! I am ready!!! I would love that...only a dream now....but maybe sometime!!
