Good morning everyone....

What a night....no sleep for me....darn insomnia. It is 5:00 AM and I am still awake. I need to be up at 8:00 AM to get ready for an appointment. I sure wish I could sleep a little while. I should know better then to make morning appointments!

I need to be in the office here to make some copies at about 8:45. I must get some paperwork mailed off before the mailman gets in at 9:00. Then I have an appointment to get a haircut and highlights at 9:30. When she is done it will be time for lunch. I will be back in my apartment at about 12:30. I may have to set an alarm and just nap for a couple hours.

I hope everyone has a good day!

I will check in again later to see what everyone is up to.

Prayers for our amazing OFF Family and their families.

Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all...connie d

Good morning Connie and my lovely sistas!

Oh, Connie, I hope you are snoozing right now!  Poor baby!

We are getting ready to leave for the Cancer Center in San Antonio.  I'm sure the traffic will be an adventure, but I'm glad we didn't have to make another trip to Houston this week.  Please pray that all goes well with Butch's chemo this time.

I'll post again later this afternoon and let y'all know how it goes.

Love you all!

Hi Connie and OFF,

Computer is virus free, but having trouble getting web browser to connect to Internet. Progress. Still on phone.

Please pray for Colleen, and students in the Morrice School District here. Colleen taught Title I Reading there for over a decade. She taught small groups and had the same students for years. A boy she taught for six years committed suicide at the age of 14 this week. We were both crying while we talked about it. He lived with his grandmother. Not sure where the parents are.

Must go.

Love,

Trish

Hi Trish....I am so sad for that child. Prayers of course for Colleen, you and many others that were involved in his life. How tragic for a child of that age to think life needed to end. He must have been suffering for a long time. My heart is just breaking for all of you and his grandma too.

Hope you are getting closer to correcting your computer problem.

Lots of love and hugs too.....connie d

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

Connie, the insomnia bug must be hitting us all. I got up at about 6 a.m. coughing up a storm. Laid there with Juliette for awhile; she was lying next to me, purring loudly and grooming my arm. Finally, after too much coughing, I got up and went to the bathroom for some the codeine cough syrup. That and Nurse Juliette's tender care got me back to sleep until about 8 a.m.

I am fine if I just sit here and do nothing, but if I move around, I'm all out of breath. I went out this morning to the grocery store (and of course I forgot something). By the time I got back and got all the stuff put away, I was huffing and puffing and needed to rest. I also had put my salsa chicken in the crockpot. That was one reason I needed to go to the store: they had boneless, skinless chicken thighs on sale. Plus, on Thursday, we are having a potluck at work; editor is providing a ham and everyone is bringing something. I would bake, but with my germy self, I decided to just bring chips and dip. No way am I going to spread my germs around.

I also decided to strip the bed. The comforter takes awhile to dry. And I want to get some more decorations up. I will rest in between. Tomorrow the new cleaning lady comes (not really new, I know her from before, but new for right now). So I hope she will help me with some of this mess.

Trish, my thoughts are with the school kids.

Connie, I hope you get some rest too.

Vickie, you and Butch are always in my thoughts. I'm swinging chickens everything goes well.

This is long. Dryer buzzer. Got to check the comforter. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen....I am checking in here and then I am going to take a nap. An hour and a half sleep just isn't enough!!

I am really getting tired of my crazy sleep pattern. I hope yours improves soon!!

Sounds like you are not feeling any better today. Please stay in and keep warm!! No more running to the store today!!! You tell Nurse Juliette too keep a better watch on you!!

One of these days I need to make your Salsa Chicken. It sounds so good!! I am glad you aren't baking anything for the potluck. You are right, everyone could get what you have. Chips and dip will be fine, everyone loves that.

YOU REST....it sounds like you are doing too much!!! Wait until your cleaning fairy comes tomorrow. I don't mean to be bossy but darn....I am worried you are going to get pneumonia!!

Love you....HUGS...Prayers too.....connie d

I am resting ... in between doing things. I empty a few Christmas boxes, fill them full of bobbleheads, then sit. Trust me, I don't do more than I can handle. When the back starts to hurt, I sit back down and put my feet up and ice the back. I don't think I'll even put them back ... I'll the cleaning lady do that. I have one more box (I think) to get out. I'm not putting out my village.

I do feel a little better ... gunk from my nose is light yellow now instead dark yellow or green, so that's  progress.

Hi Eileen....I am glad the meds are starting to make an improvement already. I am happy you are resting when you need to. It will be nice tomorrow when you can get a little help with things around your apartment.

Have a good night!!
