Well another Monday is upon us! I had a big weekend! Lots of eating! Good thing I didn't eat much! I didn't want it!

We had a great cousin he together on Saturday night and wonderful first birthday party for my daisy!

Talk on we haveHanukka stuff to do for tomorrow!

Still on my phone. Waiting to call tech support and try to get them to fix it remotely. 

Lots to tell but texting it takes too long. 

Don't eat too many latkes, which I love.  I was raised on them. Mom was raised in a very ethnically diverse neighborhood and being Eastern European, lots of yummy foods.

Benny is sick and I have to go to the pharmacy and pick up his medicine, then go to his school and give it to him.  I'll hit the grocery store while I'm in town.  Try to get back to y'all this afternoon.

Trish...I am so sorry you are having so many issues with your computer. I hope you can get the bugs worked out soon.

Vickie....so sorry Benny is feeling ill. It was nice that you could get his meds and get them to him. I hope none of you catch it from him.....especially Butch...he is still in such a weak condition.

As for me...yesterday I was planing on going to the Christmas Party here. They had a nice dinner and all. NOPE...didn't work out...about 2:00 I got all weak and shaky again. I went out to do the puzzle and almost fell out of my chair. A friend helped to make sure I got pack into my apartment.I was trembling all over in the inside and out and couldn't hardly walk. I spent the rest of the day in my bed or on the couch. A couple of my neighbors came over and brought me dinner plate from the party. That was nice but I didn't feel up to eating it. I will have some of it today. I slept until 10 AM. I think I better contact my doctor when she returns from vacation. Why does this keep happening to me. It seems if I have a good day, like with the kids on Saturday, the next couple days are like this. I hope I am not having TIAs like my mother had. My brain is so scrambled.

Connie I have days like that too. Vinnie is asleep in her outgrown bucket. Liz is getting ready for work. im trying to figure this mess on my crazy dell. i hate this stupid thing that is why i hardly ever use it.

im thinking of starting to drive home on the 22nd.

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

I am still home from work. Got up this morning and went to urgent care, because it's usually too difficult to get into my doc's on the same day. Well, it was a long wait. I got there a little after 10 a.m. and got home with my drugs and all after 1 p.m. Doctor said I had a sinus infection and was getting some problems in my chest. He gave me antibiotics and codeine cough syrup. I stopped and got those at CVS along with a couple of other things, got home and realized I didn't mail the things I wanted to mail. So I had to go back out and run these things back to the post office. So when I got home, I got some water in me, took my drugs and had dinner. I had taken with me to urgent care a 24-oz. glass of water and a 16-oz. cup of coffee ... finished both by the time I came home.

Well, I'm watching a Peter Paul & Mary show that was on PBS on Saturday that I recorded. It's really good.

Hi sistas!

Another long crazy day around here!  I've been running all day.  Glad to finally be home and dressed in my stretchy pants and big comfy tee!  

Went into town this morning and got Benny's medicine, then went to the school to give it to him.  I was prepared to carry him home with me if he was sick, but he seemed to be doing just fine--just has a bad cough.  So I gave him his meds and some goldfish crackers and he went right back to class.  

Then I went to the grocery store and filled the car up with gas.  Picked up a Schlotzsky's sandwich for our lunch and back home again.  After we ate, Butch and I got back in the car and went to Hobby Lobby and Sam's.  I picked up a few 50% off Christmas items at Hobby Lobby and Butch just waited in the car.  But he wanted to go with me to Sam's, so he did that part, but it wore him out.  

I have some other things I could be working on, but I think I'm too tired tonight.  We have some leftover meatloaf and veggies from yesterday's dinner, so we're having that for our supper.  Easy peasy.

Tomorrow morning we have to be up and at 'em early.  Butch has chemo in San Antonio at 9:30 a.m.  We need to leave here around 8 a.m. since we'll be catching some of the morning traffic and there's construction along our route, too.  Still, it's better than making another trip to Houston!  We're grateful for even a small break from that.

I wish I could send each of you some of the treats I've been making.  And no, Judy, I still haven't tried one of the chocolate covered cherries yet!  LOL!  I put them in containers that I can't see into so I won't be tempted.  I have, however, just about eaten my weight in praline pecans.  OMG.  So has Butch.  And so did all our company this past weekend.  I'm going to have to make another batch of those for the gift tins.

Christie brought me Benny's stocking to finish up, but that's not happening this evening.  She cross stitched the front, but needs me to sew it together.  Maybe I can do that tomorrow.  I also plan to attempt to get my Christmas cards sent out this week.  We'll see . . .  I have no idea what to expect with Butch's chemo this week.  I hope it goes well.

MDA asked me to contribute another blog for their holiday season, and I did, and the editor said it should go up tonight or tomorrow, maybe.  I'll post the link when it's published.  

Maybelle got out the gate yesterday and ran and ran and ran away from me!  Oh, that bad puppy!  I had to chase her forever!  She heard me calling her.  She would even look over her shoulder at me, but then she would turn and run some more!  At least there wasn't much traffic in the neighborhood yesterday.  I would just die if something happened to her, even though she is such a scamp!

I made up some cute return address Christmas labels for my cards this year.  It's a gingerbread man and woman, with two little gingerbread dogs and I put all our names under our respective characters.  

Well, I'm going to close now and go watch the evening news.  Love you all!
