Good morning...it is Friday....what is new??

hi Connie. I also love to wrap presents. I think it's fun. 

Well, we didn't blow away yesterday but the Bank of America sign in town did.  Wow!  Those were some strong wind gusts.  Anyway, the sun is out this morning.  Hooray!

Connie, so glad  you slept well last night.  You needed that!

Hubby has a migraine this morning.  He's sitting up with his head wrapped in the heating pad.  He only had one pain pill left and took it this morning.  Hope the dr.'s office comes through with a new script today.  He has to get a new script every month and go in to the dr. office to pick it up in person. 

I sure hope everyone has a good day today.

Hi Cindy....I am surprised your roof didn't blow off!!!! If the winds were strong enough to blow the bank sign off it had to have been really powerful!! Glad you are all okay!!! 

Sorry your hubby has a migraine again. I sure hope he can get more medication. Wouldn't it hurt less if he was reclined back then sitting upright? I am sending prayers.

Connie -- this one started in his sinuses and when that happens, the best he can do is spray with his Nasonex prescription, sit up, and take a hot shower.  Sometimes, drinking really hot coffee will also help.  If the migraines start in his neck, then he has to lay down.  It's a bummer. 

We have had storms powerful enough to rip off roofs.  One year, the roof to a local pizza place was ripped to shreds.  We've been lucky so far with the only problem being a neighbor's tree fell and damaged our fence and bent our rain gutter a little bit. 

Thanks for the prayers for hubby.  I feel so bad for him and there's not much I can do bu****ch -- such a helpless feeling.

Hi Cindy...I feel so bad for your hubby. I agree if they start in the sinuses...ouch....no laying down.

My brother in law had tose kinds of migraines. He finally had surgery and never even had a regular headache again. He wished he would have done it soon. However, he went to bed and died of a heart-attack in his sleep, just a couple years later. I miss him very much!!

I will keep praying for your Hubby!! I am sure it is very difficult to watch him in that pain, and to not be able to help him.

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

I came down with a cold yesterday and feel just awful. I'd stay home but I'm out of sick days. So in I go to work. I feel a little better now. Didn't sleep at all well last night ... got up at 8 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep with all the goo coming out of my nose. So I just got up and made coffee. I took one nap at 11:30 a.m. and that helped a bit. I was so cold last night. 

Yesterday I wound up spending $209 at the car dealer on my car ... totally unexpected. I went in for service that was supposed to cost me $90 and found out I needed a new tire. Then the crown I thought would cost me nothing wound up costing me $105. They told me it was lab costs ... but on  Tuesday I was told the dentist stood by his work and it would cost me nothing ... then yesterday, it was give us the money, we have to pay the lab for fixing it. Well, this crown has only been in for six months. So I'll have to put off getting the mouth guard til after Christmas. 

Anyway, I guess I'll take a nap before work. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen....I am so sorry you have all that added expense. Car repairs...yup....that is a reason I gave mine up. Do you go to that service place often? I hope they were being nice to you.

Then there is the crown to deal with....I agree they can wait for the mouth guard. It is always something isn't it. I think we all need a break!!!  Lets fly off somewhere and get lost on a beach!! Doesn't that sound great!!!  Cold drinks and hot men!!! We wish .

Hope you rested well before you must go to work. So sorry you are feeling so lousy. Darn colds!! Please take care so you don't end up with Bronchitis or Pneumonia!!

Connie, I got to work and found out I still had 64 hours of vacation. Seems this is the year I got a third week of vacation. I didn't know! So my boss sent me home. She said they'd figure out how to get me my vacation time somehow. Nobody told me. 

The Hyundai dealership here is very nice. I told someone the $90 price for a tire and they said that wasn't surprising. 

Anyway, I'm home ... stopped at Sonic and got a mini Sonic Blast, thought it would be good for my throat. It was good but I'm glad I didn't have more than that. Also stopped at the grocery store for a few things (including Breathe Right strips).

Hi Eileen....if I could do cartwheels and jump up and down I would be doing it for you now!!!!! That is such good news!!! I am over the top excited for you!!!!!!

God does work in mysterious ways. Answered prayers.

$90 for a tire is cheap....you got a good deal!!

When it rains it pours with car repairs! I thank my lucky stars my Nissan us paid off! I spent 209.00 on mine two days before Thanksgiving. Brakes and a belt. My Expedition needs the heater worked on! 500.00 that's going to be fixed in February!

Cars are like ourkids,JAM just add money!!!!

I'm on my way to Benton Harbor Michigan for a quick minute in the morning to pick up my sister. She won't drive in Chicago!!!!!s She us coming to our cousin getogether and our neices 1st birthday!
