What's Up This Friday?

I have two pecan (large soft shelled) trees at our house and my sister, my daughter, and two of my cousins and I get so many pecans that we end up freezing jars full of them.   We all roast them. I make mine a little spicy; my sister likes her's sweet; and my daughter likes her with just salt.  But basically, you take the shells off and coat them in melted butter (I use olive oil), and season them with either cinnamon and sugar or I use salt and chili pepper, or just salt, then you put them on a cookie sheet or two and bake them in the oven for ten or so minutes at 325 degrees.   Once they are roasted, let them cool and put in a jar or bowl.  They are delicious. I also like to use pecans in any salad that calls for walnuts.   Then, of course, there are pies, cookies, cakes, and various brownies. LOL.

Vickie, your new place looks wonderful.  Your kitchen will be great for cooking and baking with that nice big island.  Looks like you'll have more than adequate storage with the beautiful cabinetry that's in there.  Thanks for posting the pics.

The pics are so great....it reminds me of one of my homes. I miss having fireplaces. Oh well, it was keep the jerk and keep the fireplaces or let it all go. I let it go!!!  I am not sorry for that!

Hi Cindy and my OFF family:

Good to hear from you, and glad the spot is looking good. 

Things are quiet around here. Tonight is our office Christmas party. It's usually very night. Lots of pickup type food, plus booze too ... although because I'm working I won't drink. Too easy for me to get drunk on one beer. I'll just eat ... lots of good protein options ... cheese, chicken wings (hot wings, not fried), little spring rolls, fruit, veggies, etc. They have photos with Santa for the kids too (Santa is our photo editor, who is retiring ... he has the physique and the beard for Santa). 

Otherwise, not much. I was so tired last night I fell asleep watching TV, then went to bed and slept til 10:30 ... even then I didn't want to get out of bed. Only coffee is waking me up. 

Vickie, I love the house ... adopt me or at least have me over. You need a hot tub out there too. 

Well, I need to take a shower and have some lunch. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen....yes...I agree...we need to move to Texas!! Vickie's home is so nice!!! There would be plenty of room for our group!!!! I agree on the hot tub...I know she plans on putting in a pool. I would be in that all day long. The more heat and sun I get the better!! Not to mention all those cowboys!!!  I am having hot flashes already!!

I am glad things are quiet for you at work. I think that sounds like a nice Christmas Party. Even Santa....wooohoo!! Go get your picture taken with Santa. I would if I were there!!

Afternoon OFF family...

Excuse me OFF family...I think I adopted Vic first when she came to our group so she HAS to adopt ME first!!! LOL OMG Vic that house is so YOU!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! How many acres does it have??? It is NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we are getting some rain now and could see 1-2 inches of it...YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to give a tenant notice to pay his rent for NOVEMBER & December by 4pm today or come Monday morning it goes to lawyer for eviction!!! Well its now 430 and he didn't pay his rent yet!!! WTH is his problem?? He has been late before but never like this!!! He saw Chase yesterday and Chase said he took off really fast...well no more games!!! Office means business now!!! So see what happens by Monday morning now...sighs. Also got another notice another good tenant is leaving to live with her daughter. She can't take care of herself anymore. So sad all my good ones we are losing now it seems. Why can't the mean and nasty ones be the ones to go?????????? NOT FAIR!!!!!!

Still need to get that other tree up in the clubhouse...grrrrrrrr just not in the mood!!!!!!! It HAS to be done!!!!! Guess I will do it for sure come Sunday!!!

Got my dress I ordered Monday night. Hope it fits! Its the one my mom picked out for my sons wedding. I don't even know if they are having a formal wedding yet or not and this dress is a long black slit up the side sexy type dress!!!!!! OMG!!!!! I am not trying it on til I get my nightie on tonight. LOL It can wait...so can Rick...ROFLMAO  How do you like me now?? Might need a spanx for it too not sure yet...

Connie the dress is black, long sleeves, has a weird neckline...lol has a rhinestone brooch at shoulder and an opening in middle of the chest area? hard to explain...If you look up Roman's Holiday catalog you can probably see it there...it has a white Faxfur coat with it in photo. It is made of spandex and polyester and its also lined. Now to get some weight off so it looks nicer on me!!! I tried it on and it FITS!!! Rick said WOW!!! But said the white socks didn't go to well with it...LMAO I told him I wanted black nylons and shoes to wear with it not my WHITE SOXS!!!!! His eyes bugged out!!! LOL

Yes all the good tenants are leaving as they are getting old and can't live alone anymore...one here is such a "witch" I can't wait til she leaves!!! But she will never leave...probably die here!!! Sighs...As for the guy...not sure why he isn't paying his rent!!! He was always a week late but never this long before!!!

Judy...I just looked up the dress...WOW...you will look stunning!!! My friend had a dress with that kind of cut. She didn't like how her cleavage showed in that opening. She just bought a piece of black lace and inserted in the opening. That looked great too. Like me, my friend and I are big busted and a lot of cleavage showed!!

I think it it a very sexy dress. I think you will wear it well!!!
