Happy Thursday everyone....what's new today?
Yes, Roxane's kids aren't little. She had them late, when she was in her 40s. So Cody is 17 and Erin is 13. Rox is my age, we went to college together.
My package is something I bought from Amazon: Two of the Harry Potter movies and a bottle of SF gingerbread syrup I like to put in my coffee around this time. Can't buy it around here so I buy it online.
My foot is good, my knee is the same. Right knee always hurts, left knee is OK. I hoped when I had the surgery the right knee might improve but no such luck yet.
Eileen...that SF gingerbread syrup sounds really good!! You are right...that would be yummy in coffee!!! What brand is it? I remember now you saying you ordered the Harry Potter books...ENJOY!!!
WOW, your friend was brave having children so late in life. I am glad she is so happy!!!
Are you eventually going to have to have your right knee done again? OUCH!!

It's DaVinci, I think ... there are two major brands of syrup, DaVinci and Torani. Both are good. There are a couple others coming into the market: Monin and one other I can't remember that's on Amazon.
Whether Rox is happy or not, not sure. She is proud of her kids as any mom would be. Both have their issues. Erin is very active in kayaking and skiing and quite a good kayaker (that's my goddaughter ... but she has some athletic ability). She is also creative. Cody is smart but school comes easily to him ... Erin has to work ... so Cody tends to take it a little too easily. Rox always had to work so hard in school. Of course, she was taking nursing courses and science courses ... while I was bumming around taking journalism and working on the newspaper.
Nope, not having my right knee done again. I was told there was nothing more that could be done. So I'm not doing anything but living with it. The ortho doc who did the surgery said if he did anything else, there wasn't enough bone, so all he could do was amputate ... yeah, that's what he said ... so I should just learn to live with the pain. Nice guy, huh? My current ortho doc said, "Gee, nice bedside manner." But he didn't see anything he could do either. So I use a cane and deal with the pain.
Eileen...I do use DaVinci and Torani...I love them both!! I need to look for the gingerbread!!
I hope Rox is happy. Of course she loves and is proud of her children. I just remember being that age and loved playing with my grandchildren. It was easy because they weren't there 24/7. She must have lots of energy!!!
WOW....amputate...oh no!!!! I would rather have a knee hurting!! With everything changing so much, I guess I would get a 2nd opinion from another orthopedic doctor, somewhere down the road.
Bedtime for me...chat again tomorrow!!
