Happy Thursday everyone....what's new today?
Good morning everyone.....
First of all, my prayers are with Trish and her family. Today is grandpa's funeral. I feel sad for them as this will be a difficult day. God Bless them all.
It is a beautiful sunshiny day here today!! 20 degrees with a high today of 29. I will take that, that is good for December in MN.
Nothing new happening here. I slept well last night. I only woke up a couple times and then fell right back to sleep. One night on Vicodin and I can feel the difference already. I won't be taking them everyday, just the days that are really horrible.
Carrie, Amanda and Tyler are planning on coming to visit on Monday. Kyleigh will come with if she doesn't have to work that day. That will be nice.
I have a bunch of paperwork I need to fill out and get mailed. How exciting my life is!!
I will check in again later to see who else posts.
Have a peaceful day!
Prayers for out lovely OFF Family and their families.
Loads of love and bunches of hugs to all....connie d

Good Afternoon Connie and OFF,
I'm home from the funeral, and have a ton of stuff to do here in the house.
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers for Colleen's in-laws. I spoke with Grandpa's children yesterday at the visitation, at the funeral home. Today, the church was packed with friends and family. Grandpa touched so many lives. He made bread faithfully, and gave it to so many people. He used that bread as a means of touching people's lives for Jesus. One former pastor said he used his bread as a means of giving folks the Bread of Life.
I wasn't in the service, because Colleen asked me if I would be willing to be in the Nursery with the great-grandchildren who were too young to be in the pews. So, I had two infants, who slept peacefully, while Frankie and four of his cousins played with all sorts of toys I brought over from the Toddler room. They had a blast. Colleen's sisters-in-law were thrilled I was willing to do that for them. After the service, there was a huge meal and the line of people didn't seem to end. Becky, the kitchen deaconess, tailored the menu just for Grandpa. It was fried chicken, baked beans, au gratin potatoes, fruit salad, a fruit tray and a veggie tray. Plus, lots of Grandpa's bread, made by Trent's brother, and a friend from church. The missionary who gave the eulogy started his message by asking how many people had eaten Grandpa's bread. I was told that practically every hand in the service went up.
I got my power cord for my laptop in the mail when I got home. Yippee.
I was pleased to see Jessi's parents at the funeral today. They were carrying Baby Hunter around proudly.
Must scoot.
Love, prayer, and hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish....I am glad you are back home. I am sure this was an exhausting week already!
Grandpa's funeral sounds like it was very nice. It was sweet of them to have his favorite meal including his bread! He obviously was loved by many!! I am glad you got to meet more of his family, especially Baby Hunter. It was so nice of you to take care of the children during the service. You always make everyone feel good!!!You are so helpful and kind!!
Try to have a little quiet time for yourself tonight. I am happy you got your power cord!!
Love you...HUGS....connie d
Hi Connie and my OFF family:
It's gray, rainy and glooming here today. I slept til 9:30a.m. when I heard someone pounding on the door. Thinking it might be Fedex (I'm waiting on a package), I rushed to the door ... it was the mailman with a package for Juliette (she has this KitNipBox subscription ... once a month, kitty things in the mail). So then I got up. I didn't have to work a full shift last night, just until 9:30 p.m. and got to bed by midnight because I was so tired. So I slept very well.
Juliette loved all the little toys and treats ... well, most of them. All of it comes in this beautiful mesh bag tied with a ribbon, almost like a lingerie bag. It's gorgeous. What's best, though, is seeing Juliette playing and enjoying the goodies. I love watching her play. She got another squeeky light up mouse toy and some catnip and some treats and another toy ... bunch of stuff. She had fun and so did I.
I got to talk with my friend Roxane this morning, and she talked a lot about her kids, one in high school about to go to college; one in junior high about to go to high school. Wow, they've grown up fast.
Not much else happening. I'm at work. Had to pick up my package at Fedex before I got here. This one's for me (something I ordered from Amazon). Have a good day.
Hi Eileen....I am so glad you had a good nights sleep last night. Lucky Juliette getting presents like that!! I am sure Juliette had lots of fun with her new toys. Cats are so funny to watch, batting everything around, jump on it and everything else.
It was nice that you got to talk with your friend Roxane. I sounds like her family isn't little anymore. Once they are out of grade school the years fly by!!
So you went to pick up your package. I hope it was something fun for you!!
Have a good night at work....hope you get out earlier again tonight.
You said your foot was healing great, that's good. How about your knee? I hope it is a little bit less painful.
Love you much....HUGS....connie d
