Chilly Saturday!
Good morning my lovely sistas!
Well, this household is slow to stir today. We are all snuggled down in our warm beds this morning. I'm up and Butch has just roused. Carrie is still sleeping. Even all the dogs are snuggled up in bed. It's just that kind of a Saturday.
Well, yesterday was interesting! Y'all remember that I wrote that a couple of the houses that I was most interested in were already under contract. So, pooh! I got on-line and found a few more and yesterday afternoon Butch and I drove over to Wimberley and San Marcos to check them out. Just drive by and see if we were interested enough to call the realtor about them.
Well, let me tell you, it was discouraging to say the least. We didn't like what we were finding over there at all. Butch especially didn't like them. So okay, lots of other fish in the sea, right? But on the way home I wanted to drive by the one in New Braunfels that was under contract, just to see it. I looked it back up and lo and behold, it's back on the market again! Not only that one, but the other one I really, really liked over in Seguin is back on the market, too!
Well, my first thought was, "Was this just a test, Lord?" You know, to see if I had enough faith to wait on Him to lead us to the right property? And it may have been just that. But more, I think it was God's way of changing Butch's mind! Because now he's all excited about going to see the house in Seguin. And I think he might have realized how difficult it's going to be to find a property that meets all of our requirements. If we DO find one, we'd better jump on it, you know?
I can't remember if I wrote yesterday that my mom has decided that she does want to move down here with us? I think I did. So I'm looking for a place with separate living quarters. That's not always easy to find. And I want a pool. Either one already there, or space to build one. This place in Sequin has both! So does the one in New Braunfels. Cross your fingers for us!
So we'll see what Monday brings. I immediately emailed our realtor and asked her set it up for us to view the properties on Monday. Haven't heard back from her yet, but I will. She's very good about follow-ups.
Carrie got here very late last night, so we didn't get to visit with her any. We were both already asleep when she arrived. Looking forward to spending the day with her today.
Waiting to hear from Chris this morning on how it went with the new babysitter last night.
I'd better go think about what to make for breakfast--or brunch, as it were--this morning. When it's cold outside, I always want pancakes or waffles or something like that! I am getting SO fat again! This cold spell is making me bake and cook and EAT. LOL!

Glad you had such a relaxing time getting up this morning. I could have stayed in bed later myself!!
I am so glad Carrie made it there safely last night. You will enjoy her company the next couple days. Then there is Butch's Birthday Party celebration on Sunday. You will have all your loves there!!!
You are right...if God says it is time for a move then you will be. You will find the perfect home!! I am glad your mom has finally decided to come and live near you.
I hope you had your waffles or pancakes this morning! I love both of them!
I hope all went well with the new sitter yesterday!! I would guess it went well or you would have heard by now!
As for me...I just came back from lunch. It was good as always!!
It is cold here too...last time I checked it said 9 degrees. It is gentling snowing too.
I have nothing planned for today. I think I may keep it that way!! I love to watch the Christmas movies on Hallmark and read during the commercials!!! I will go out for another walk. I worked on the puzzle before lunch. I may go and work on it a bit later.

Sorry I have been lurking lately. Been busy at work and just haven't been able to get online during the day or night to post. Been reading, just not posting.
Vickie, hope one of these properties will work out for you. They both sound nice. A pool sounds great. I would love a place with a pool.
Not much happening with me. I limp along at work. I hope next week at PT they'll let me out of the boot. I'm so tired of wearing it. Plus, snow is in the forecast and with this open-toed boot, my foot will get wet. I really would like not to have to exposed this to the snow.
One coworker has moved over to his new position and office within our office and a new coworker will move over next week. I'm looking forward to meeting her. She's moving over from our Henderson, Ky., office; she's the wife of another coworker on the desk and is a cat person, although her hubby is not. So I think we'll have something in common.
Connie, you sound upbeat and energetic, more so than usual. That's good to hear.
Well, I should start getting ready for work. I have eight pages to do with lots of copy to handle. I'll stop at Subway on the way in to pick up lunch (it's my usual thing). Have a good day.

I am sorry you are down. It is all these dark and drab days we have...the temps are so cold I don't even want to leave the apartment. I know I have to keep busy as the blues are trying to control me. I will be praying that you feel better and your pain subsides. I hope PT releases you from the boot next week!!

Afternoon OFF family...well I went to the bank and while I was gone the floor guys showed up to finish the floor!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! So now all that needs done is where the leak is and behind my desk!!!! Then putting everything BACK where it belongs!!!!!! OMG that will be a JOB!!!!!!! BUT ITS DONE!!!!!!!!!! Now to get my office back to NORMAL again!!!!!! One hurdle down and the biggest yet to come!!!!!!!!! I still can't talk about it but please PRAY for me!!! Thanks!!! I have never in my life felt so low!!!
Going to Bingo tonight not sure if I will win or not but I need to get out and away...supposed to have a chance for that crappy white stuff here again...one says 2-4 another says 4-6 I say keep it away!!!!!!! I hate this time of year!!!!!!!
Bought some gifts for tenants for the Christmas party next month. saw some great deals so bought them!!! Think I have about 10 now? need about 25-30 more. Not sure yet. While I was out shopping I did find the blinking red nose for my mom that she wanted...now that there are babies she wants to have reindeer antlers and a red nose for them...haha. I also bought me some more vitamins...see I AM taking them now!!!! Also bought me more hair color!! Dam gray keeps popping through more often!!!
I see Ohio State is playing Minnesota...so far we are still ahead...31-24 4th quarter 1:18 to go yet. Looks like Ohio State just might be the winners????
I bought Arbys roast beef sandwiches brought them home and mine is sitting there...not hungry...nerves are shot....
