Friday Morning Insomnia

Good Morning OFF,

Yes, I have insomnia.  No clue why.  I'm having the early symptoms of another sinus infection.  I got my sinus nebulizer a little over a week ago.  The first time I used it, it was difficult and uncomfortable.  Kind of freaked me out.  As a result, I avoided it till today.  This time, it wasn't so terrible.  It still was challenging, but not freaky.  I hope I can avoid going back on an antibiotic using it. 

Did more shopping.  I forgot that I started getting the kids pajamas last Christmas.  So, I found Spiderman for Frankie, Superman for Lincoln, and Frozen for Izzy.  They are growing so fast, I'm sure it helps Colleen.  It seems she blinks, and Izzy grows another inch.  Frankie wears Lincoln's hand-me-downs, but still, it's nice to get something new. 

I also got candle making stuff.  I found directions for making candles with crayons.  I thought it would be fun for the kids to help me make votive candles for Colleen for Christmas.  The directions involve using Dixie cups and the microwave, so it's an easier clean up.  It looks pretty easy.

Friday involves cleaning out my car, and tidying.  I misplaced my handicapped placard.  I usually keep it in a cup holder, but it just disappeared.  I'm sure it's under stuff on the floor of the passenger seat.

The only update I have on my niece's husband is that my sis-in-law spent Thursday night at Erin's house.  It's a good safeguard, just in case she goes into labor.  I sure hope if that happens she has the baby at the same hospital as Johnny.  That way he could be with her when the little guy is born.  Hopefully, they'll get the pain under control, so he'll be able help take care of him when they get home.

Good morning Trish and my sistas!

Well, pooh, insomnia is no damn good.  I hate it when that happens.  Sorry, Trish!  I hope tonight goes better for you.

Today is Butch's birthday.  The big 7-0!  Neither one of us can believe it.  LOL!  How did so many years pass so quickly?  I'm just thankful he's still here and doing as well as he is right now.  I've been the most blessed of women and I know it.  Many, many things have gone wrong in my life, but my marriage has not been one of them.

Well, Carrie is coming today to spend the weekend with us, so we are excited about that and looking forward to her visit!  Leo is not coming with her this time, so that means we can really have some good quality time with her.  She is her Daddy's girl, and he is so happy that she is coming to see him.  Chris and Mike both have to work today and tomorrow, but they are coming out on Sunday and we'll have Butch's birthday party then.

Speaking of Chris and Mike, they interviewed the new babysitter yesterday and they really liked her.  Megan, the other mom, was also there and she also liked her.  So cross your fingers and pray that this new babysitting arrangement will work out!  Meredith, the new babysitter, will be picking the boys up from preschool today, and also keeping them tomorrow.

Butch had a little more energy yesterday.  We went to Ace Hardware and the small local grocery store, and he walked both of those without using the electric cart.  Then we came home and he made another batch of tamales.  Maybe he will have a really good week next week before we have to go back for chemo again.

Well, I had a little disappointment yesterday, but I'm trying to see it as God's will and have faith that He is guiding us.  I have been looking at houses for sale on the internet.  I got Butch to agree that we could also look at houses "in town" so to speak, as opposed to just buying another farm.  His only requirement is that it have a big yard.  Okay, I can do that.  So I've been searching on-line.

Well I found 4 that I wanted to go see, and one in particular looked good.  I called the realtor yesterday and Jenny searched them out and 2 of them are already under contract.  Naturally the one I was most interested in is under contract.  I tell myself that God is just keeping us from making a big mistake, but it really did look ideal, at least on paper.  Oh, well, we can keep looking.  I'm sure there's a reason why we weren't supposed to even go see that one, much less buy it.

We are still going to look at the other two on Monday.  And I like both of them.  But the one I really liked had a really nice garage apartment, and my mother has finally announced that she is ready to move here.  She says that she is ready to quit driving and if she could have her own place, she would like to live with us.  I will talk to the realtor about it on Monday and tell her to look for a place with separate mother-in-law quarters.  Both of those houses under contract had that.  Natch.  I'm sure they're hard to find.

Today I am trying to fold and put away all the laundry.  Oh, I have developed the worst habit!  Y'all know how we have all these guest bedroom here.  So I've begun using the green bedroom as a closet of sorts!  I dump all the clothes from the dryer in there, and while I do usually manage to fold each load as it comes out, I haven't been putting them away.  The bed in that room is completely covered in stacks of clothes!  And I do have a couple of loads of underwear and jammies and things that also need to be folded.  Sigh.  I did it to myself.  But I have to deal with it today.  Carrie's arrival is a good reason to make myself get after it today.

Still very, very cold here.  We don't get into the 20s often, but we've dipped down to about 28F the last two nights.  All my flowers are dead now, of course.  Oh, well.  Nothing lasts forever.  I can plant more next spring.

Well, I'm going to do a bit more house hunting on-line this morning just in case I spot something else we might can go see on Monday.  I am SO READY to move!

Hi Vickie....I really hope Butch enjoys his day today!!! He doesn't look 70 to me!!  He must have good genes in his family!!!!  I am so happy that the two of you have had so many wonderful memories together. I love you my dear friend/sister!!

WOW he walked the stores without a cane....that is wonderful!! I wish I could!!

As for the new house....leave it to God....he will know when the time is right. I can't blame you for wanting to get away from neighbors....privacy is so nice!

I am very happy to know that Carrie is coming to spend the weekend. I know you like Leo, but it will be nice to have time alone with Carrie. All of you will be together for Sunday to celebrate Butch's birthday. That will be a fun day!!

One more thing....I really would love to see pics of Benny Bop and Budder....I hope someone will post some new pics on Sunday. I miss those little guys!!

I hope you managed to get your laundry put away. It isn't my favorite job either!!

Trish...I am sorry that you are dealing with insomnia and another possible sinus infection! I hope the sinus nebulizer helps you feel better soon. The insomnia is not fun. I had it for 4 nights this past week. I only had 12 hours of sleep in 4 days. I was so tired but couldn't sleep. I hope you find a way so you can sleep well tonight. I will be sending prayers and good wishes.

The pajamas for the kids sound really cute. I am sure they will love them. The candle making sounds like a really fun thing to do together!! 

I hope you find your placard....not good to be without!!

I will continue to pray for Erin and Johnny. I hope you hear some good news soon.

As for me....I had a good day yesterday...then Pam called. I told her I had a bus picking me up today to take me to get some birthday gifts for my Gracie! She decided she wanted me to shop with her. We found some wonderful gifts. Gracie loves horses. You know she is taking riding lessons. I found her a sterling silver horse necklace and earrings. They are so pretty. I also found her a couple tops with horses on them. One shirt with owls as she loves them too. I got her some yoga pants to match. Also a bunch of really cute and crazy socks.....she love to mix and match her socks!!! I had some great coupons and got all that for $40. Everything was on sale or clearance. The jewelry was 60% off!! Believe me I know how to get the bargains!! Pam got some cute clothes and earrings for Gracie too!! She found a really cute fleece jacket with horses on it. Gracie will love it all!!! 

Anyway....after the shopping for my Gracie we went to the grocery store...Pam wanted some things and I needed a few things. The temp had started dropping when we left here at 6 PM  it was maybe 18 degrees. When we got back here at 9:30 it was 7 degrees!!! The wind was just crazy....so frigid. All I wanted to do was to get in my apartment. Yes...I was tired too!!!

I need to get Gracie's presents wrapped and ready to get mailed. We have a company that can get it there overnight. It is so much cheaper then the postal service.

I spent 2 hours sitting with the ladies and doing the puzzles. We were talking about all kinds of funny things. I just came back to my apartment to post this.

Evening OFF family...Just now got home from work!!! Yup!!! Got my new tenant moving in as I type...took all dam day to finally get his lease from corporate to me!!!! GRRRRR!!! Holly KNEW I needed it this morning also!!!!!!! Then when she finally started to do it she called me and said I need to do it in the packet!!!!!! Ummm HELLO!!!!!!!??????? She told me to email her all his paperwork like I used to do and she would take care of it because my PC was having so many issues!!!!!!!!! WTH????????? My nerves are shot right now and then all this with her...then she starts doing the lease and again jumps all over me because I put the wrong apartment down!! Ummm NO I DID NOT!!!!!!! She was in such a hurry to LEAVE she messed it up and blamed me!!!!!!!! Then she didn't send me the pro rate rent for this month...OMG!!!!!!!!!! I swear if it wasn't so far to get to her I would choke her!!!!  I have so much stress right now hers I do not need to add to it!!!!! Then I have another new tenant to get his paperwork started and try all afternoon to get his paperwork printed out and do you think this dam PC would let me??????? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!! Would I call her for help??? NOPE!!!!!! I will wait til Monday and call somebody else!!!!

And....did our floor get done today??????? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Office asked me if they showed up...NOPE!!!!!!!!!! I heard SOB!!!!!!!!!!!! In the back ground when they said no...so I am sure things are not going well on that end either. Was told TWO DAYS for this floor to get done. TWO DAYS. Reminds me of the Money Pit movie...Two Weeks...everything was Two weeks. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah right!!!!!! Tell me another story you want me to believe!!!!!!!!

Never got to the bank either today...looks like tomorrow it is.......yippeeeeeeeee

Hi Judy....NO.... I had a good day yesterday until I went shopping!!! I could have done all that and more in an hour...oh no.... three+ hours!!  We quit only because I said I couldn't do any more and I had to check out. 

I have to make appointments during the day. The bus service is great. I have a friend here taking me to the parcel depot and the bank on Monday at 11:00 AM!!! The buses can't wait for you at the bank and such. You have to wait until they come around again. That can be an hour or more. I don't want to stay either of these places that long!!!

I thought you liked Holly helping you?? Guess you have just had enough and I don't blame you. They need to get that PC figured out or get you a new one!!

Those floor guys may be cheap, but they are horrible at keeping their appointments. Not too mention they are driving you crazy!!! Your boss needs to have written contracts with these people. If the work isn't done on time they have to pay a fine....every day until the work is done.  YUP....it does sound like the Money Pit!!!

Connie Holly has MANY to take care of not just my complexes...so she FORGETS what she told me to do...GRRRRRRRRRRRR makes me mad as hell!!!!!!! Oh well this lease is done...I just have to figure out how to get it back to her now...she will be pissed I didn't get it done TODAY like it should have been but oh well!!!!!!! It can wait til Monday now!!!!!!!!! Ask me if I CARE???????
