SUNDAY WHAT'S UP?
Thank you Vickie....I am very emotional about them coming. I love them so much!! They will live over an hour away but I know Amanda.....she will be here when she can!!!!! They also talked about finding me a place in the Twin Cities.
Amanda said, I am one of the huge reasons why they are coming back to Minnesota. She said she doesn't want me to be out of their lives. I feel so blessed!!!!
Post Scriptum: Well, Chris and family didn't come over today. Poor little Budder got into an ant bed and is covered in bites!!! Oh, that poor baby. Y'all should see him. Chris sent me a pic. It's just pitiful. We have such BAD ants down here. They're just vicious little demons.
Anyway, she gave him benadryl and doctored all the bites and they stayed home--which I thought was for the best.
But I already had my roast on, and I had just made the filling for an apple pie, so Butch and I should eat well tonight and the next few evenings! Ha!
Judy, I was going to tell you that I know about the Rogaine and how you have to keep using it to keep the hair growing. But the Wal Mart brand wasn't so expensive. About $10 and it lasts a month using it twice a day. So I'm trying it. It said it would take 2 to 4 months to see results. I suspect that if it does grow my hair back, I can cut down to once a day for maintenance, and then it would only be about $5 a month. We'll see. Anything would be better than what I have now.
Going to sit and crochet awhile. Butch is watching football. I guess I can stand it. I'm not really a sports person like so many of you, but at least I understand football.
Love you all!
OMG Vic!!! Were those fire ants?? I know they bite hard!!! Poor little guy!!! Hope he feels better soon!!!
My roast fell apart when I went to take it out of the pan...lol no need for a knife of any kind...lol Bet there won't be any leftovers for tomorrow after seeing the HUGE pieces Rick put on HIS plate!!! LOL I filled mine up just to make sure I GOT SOME!!! OMG!!! One thing Rick loves is my beef roast!! Guess you will be eating yours for a couple days now...enjoy it!!! We don't have any dessert here...darn!!
Watching NASCAR race see what happens after last weeks big fight after the race!!! WOW!!! Next week is the last race of the season...boy time is going fast!!!!
Enjoy your free time Vic...tell Butch to rest also!!! Prayers continue for you both!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSS
Greetings Judy and OFF Sistas,
Sorry I'm late. Busy day. Church in the morning. Was in Toddlers, but my Frankie wasn't there. :(. Brought home two loads of laundry from Infants. Crib sheets, blankets and changing pad sheets. Figured out how to not have to change the crib bedding as often as I've been doing it. Since we only have two cribs, and right now only two infants who nap during church, I made pretty name signs for each of them, and taped them to the cribs. That way they'll each use the bedding they've used before. They're cousins, and I doubt it would have been a problem for Colleen's sis-in-laws if they did use each other's beds, but I wanted to implement a new policy. Saves water, energy, and money for whoever does the laundry. Since it's me this year, I don't mind, but I'm all for conservation of those things when there's an easy fix.
After church this afternoon, I stopped at a Christmas fair where crafters and vendors are there. Bought some Mary Kay, which I love for my face. Talked to a Thirty-One distributor about a possible fundraiser for the park project I help with. Thirty-One sells the coolest totes and purses. Also, I stopped at a Creative Playthings table. She was selling discontinued toys and books, on sale. Got a math game for Izzy, a board book for Frankie, and one for my niece's baby, who should be here on Friday. My niece is having a C-section then. Seems the baby is laying on the cervix, a weird breech. Not feet, or butt, instead his side. Too dangerous to attempt a vaginal delivery, where the doc would have to reach in a rearrange the little guy. I also visited a craft table, where I bought a Christmas tree wall hanging made of different sized granny squares put together, with little Christmas decorations on it. I plan on copying it, to make more. I love to copy other people's projects, but I buy a sample first, because it's rude to handle the item there, to figure it out. One crafter told me how she makes crocheted rag rugs by tearing sheets she buys at garage sales into strips, then uses a one and a half crochet stitch to crochet the oval with different colors and prints that coordinate. Awesome idea.
Tonight I was at church folding the laundry, which I will not attempt at home coz I do not have a single surface free of dog hair. After I put the laundry away, I hung out in the Toddler room talking to a friend, and enjoying time with Frankie, Lincoln and another little boy.
Vickie, I suggest you see if there are agencies that offer respite care to caretakers like you. Here in my county there's a group that trains volunteers to provide visits to allow caretakers a break. Might be worth looking into. Google might help you find such an agency.
Connie, what I wouldn't give to have all my kids in the same state. When I lived back home, Chris was a 90 minute train ride away, Sean was six hours, but Colleen and my Munchkins were 12 long hours. Now, it's reverse. Chris is over 12 hours, but I see him when I go home. Sean is still six hours. But Colleen and the gang are minutes away. There was no way for them or me to get to know each other so far away from each other.
Judy, whenever I make a pot roast in the crock-pot it always falls apart, and is awesomely juicy and flavorful. I love how the potatoes, carrots and onions taste cooking with it. I like to use an envelope of onion soup mix, that I mix with some water, to pour over all of it before I turn on the crock-pot. Now, I'm craving it.
Cindy, glad you posted. I pray for you, and am so glad you provide support for Vickie about Butch's cancer treatment.
Love, Prayers and Hugs,
Trish
