Sunday Blessings

Good Morning Family,

Thank you, again, for the birthday wishes yesterday.  I truly feel loved.

Well, I am so excited about going to Frankenmuth today.  I was there three times, years ago, before I moved there.  I've lived here for close to two years, and I haven't been back there.  My sister sent me a card, with a check inside.  When I called to thank her, she told me I am to spend the money on something for myself, not to pay the bills.

Colleen and Sean called me to with my Happy Birthday.  So did Eileen and Kathy.  Chris always malls me the day after.  Chris already gave me my present, my personalized Eagles jersey.  I don't expect a gift from any of them.  His Dad always sends out a wish list around his birthday and Christmas.  I always wait for them to ask.  Problem is, everyday they are in my life is the best gift of all, considering how I almost got cut off by them after their Dad and I divorced.

Well, I keep you all in my prayers.

Love and Hugs,

Trish

Happy you had a great birthday.

I am celebrating today. It is my weekly weigh in day and it iz official. I have lost 100 lbs. I weigh everyday, and have to have the same weight or lower in order to be sure. But Sunday is the day i count. So today it is official. Wow,i think it has been 35 plus years. 257 lbs

So now it is on to the next milestone 200 with 225 as the next big goal with 5 lb increments in between.

I appreciate your help and support on my journey.

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday

Rick made pancakes for breakfast today...I hope they don't make me "run" to the bathroom!!! Oh well if they do I am not planning on going anywhere today...Just staying home away from the world. Play games on the pc and watching tv is all.

Did go out shopping a little yesterday...that was a wrong move!!! First of the month and all...OMG!!!!!!!! Rick couldn't get out of the stores fast enough!!! He hates crowds and it was HIS idea to go shopping!!! LOL He bought a scratch off lottery ticket and won $100 and wanted to go Bday shopping and start Christmas shopping for me. I asked him are you sure? Today? He said yes...so we went... boy was he mad he went...LOL

Went to Bingo last night and had chances all over the place...nope did not win a cent!! Maybe next week? HAHA

Good morning my sweet Judy!!!

It has actually warmed up a bit today. It is 46 degrees and a high expected of 53. It is so sunny and beautiful outside. I have to have my windows open as it was 80 in here when I finally got up!!! I am glad it will be warming up for you this next week too!

Rick makes pancakes...yum!! Why do all men make such great pancakes?? It is great that he cleans up after himself too!!

You could push me over with a toothpick....Rick went shopping on a Saturday!! He must have really wanted to buy you something. Glad you both came to your senses and got out of there!! I never shop on weekends unless it is absolutely necessary. Then I am in and out fast!

Sorry you didn't win at BINGO....guess it wasn't your turn. I am glad you got out for awhile last night.

I had a good talk with GOD about you this morning too. You know you are always right here in my heart and in my prayers. I am always here for you!!

Much love and bunches of hugs....connie d

Good morning, sistas!

Did you all remember to turn your clocks back an hour?  Of all the dumb ideas perpetrated upon us by big government, I think Daylight Savings Time is the DUMBEST!  But, what you gonna do?

My little Maybelle is not doing well at all.  Her little leg is not any better today.  I gave her half a baby aspirin at bedtime last night and she did manage to sleep most of the night.  But she "cries" if I try to pick her up.  I am doing my best to keep her calm and on the soft bed or a pallet.  We are taking her to the vet in the morning before we leave for Houston.  I still don't think her leg is broken.  But there is something wrong.

Today Chris and Mike and the boys are coming over to help us out with some work around here.  Mike is going to mow the hillside for me.  Thank goodness!  And Chris and I are going to dig the paint out of the storage shed and assess what I have and what I might still need to buy.  And she might be able to get started on priming some things.  I am going to pay her $15/hour for her painting time.  Sunday is their only day off together as a family and I hate to ask her to give it up for me, but as long as I am asking her to do so, I feel it is only fair to pay her what she makes at Hobby Lobby, you know?

And I will also feed them!  I can at least do that much.  Not sure what I'm going to cook today.  I have a lot of chicken in the freezer that needs to be cooked.  Maybe a casserole of some type and a salad and some rolls?  I still have half of that Cherry Bounce Cake in the frig and it's still quite good.

This morning I plan to bake two loaves of banana nut bread and I'll take one with us to Houston to give to my SIL Karen as a small thank you for letting us stay with them again.

So, it's November.  We are bracing ourselves.  Traditionally, November has not been a good month for us.  We always seem to have some sort of health crisis that occurs in November.  And not just with Butch (although he's had the lion's share), but also with me and with Christie, etc.  One of us always seems to land in the hospital in November.

I managed to finish one of the sleeves on my new sweater yesterday.  I doubt I get to work on the next one today, what with the boys coming here.  And I won't try to take my crochet to Houston either.  So that will be it for working on my sweater for the next few days.

Butch is doing well today and is in good spirits and ready to go get the next round of chemo next week.  Please say a little prayer for us that things go well and that the chemo is knocking out the cancer.  I can't help but feel encouraged by how much better he is doing now.  Maybe we have a chance of knocking this monster back into remission again.

Much love to you all!
