Early Monday morning
Hello our sweet Eileen....
You comment to Vickie about praying reminded me of something my friend gave me years ago. It said, "give your worries to God....he will be up all night anyway". That is so true. You are right, people pray in different ways. Whatever is comforting for them. There is nothing wrong with that!
Have a peaceful and relaxing evening.
Love to you and HUGS too....connie d
Dear Vickie:
Hang in there, the early morning (Dawn) hours are the worst, which is why I sleep till late morning.....
I was up till 6 am, could not sleep so read a mystery novel off and on between attempts'trying to sleep....Early morning is when I go walkabout to stretch legs, and wind up eating carbs with peanut butter....Best to sleep'if possible...
Honey your hubby is dimished and becoming frail as he has had multiple hits with chemo, radiation and his twisted bowel..all impacting on appetite and what he can eat. Dawn hours are the worst hours to try and take stock and analyze rationally'as our own body systems are at their lowest energies.
Big hugs
jennifer
Hello everyone,
We are here at Sandy and Karen's house again, and I'm in my jammies and MB and I are already in bed. Butch is still up visiting with his brother, but I'm pooped!
I want to thank you all for your sweet words of encouragement today. I was just having a rough morning. Sometimes the whole situation gets to me. Other times, not so much. I definitely have a harder time handling the emotional side of things when I'm tired and worn down. Not getting enough sleep does that to me. But since Butch can't get out of bed by himself, I have to get up every time he needs to go potty at night. Kinda like getting up all night with a baby again.
So, we drove for about 5 hours today. We left home at noon, but Butch wanted us to drive and look at all these different properties he had found. OMG. We drove all over Texas, it seemed like. We didn't actually get on the interstate and head to Houston until 3 p.m.! But even though we saw lots of pretty country, we still didn't see anything as nice as that little 25 acre farm we found last week. He's very enthusiastic about it. I told him we have to wait and see what the doctor says tomorrow and then we'll discuss calling the Realtor about going to see it.
Maybelle is a very good traveler! But I think she's rather confused about being back here at Karen's house with all the ****er Kids. She sure is sticking close by me. I think she's afraid I'm going to leave her here again! Never fear, my little sweetheart! Mama is not going to leave you behind! LOL!
Well, I took a Tylenol PM and my head is starting to nod. Tomorrow will be a rough day, so I'd better get some sleep while I can. I'll post tomorrow after we learn some news from the doctor.
Love you each and every one!
