Ahh, Home on Tuesday!
Good morning my sistas!
Oh, it is a JOY to wake up at home this morning! Just the two of us and little Maybelle this morning. I feel very content today.
Butch is doing much better. Yesterday he had mostly just clear liquids (broth and jello), but this morning he got instant oatmeal for breakfast and then asked for a piece of cheese toast. I will make him mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs for lunch.
It turned cool here this morning. So refreshing! It will warm back up into the 90s this afternoon, but we take what we can get in October in Texas.
Hope everyone will be well and healthy today. Eileen, hope we hear from you today. I am praying for a quick and pain-free recovery for you!
Love you all!
Good morning Vickie and everyone....
Vickie....I am overjoyed that Butch is doing so much better!! You take really good care of him!! Still praying for you both.
I noticed Patty Kate isn't home yet. I guess you are still letting Maybelle get comfortable again before her sister comes home.
Eileen posted that she was home yesterday. She said, she wasn't having any pain, at least at that time. I continue to pray for her too.
As for me....I hate to keep complaining but the pain in my ribs is almost unbearable. I went to bed before 7:00 PM again last night. I was sleeping really well, then my RLS started in. I was up from 10 PM to 2:00 AM. I tried a few time to go back to bed in between, but couldn't sleep until 2. I need to get to the store. I have been out of bananas for a couple days. They really do help with my RLS.
I really don't have anything else planned today. I may go for a walk after lunch. It is sunny again. High today of 64. The leaves on the trees have been so pretty. Now they are all starting to fall off.
Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!
Prayers for our amazing OFF Family.
Lots of love and oodles of hugs to everyone....connie d
Connie,
Patty Kate comes home tomorrow. Carrie wasn't able to make it home for a visit on Sunday, so she's coming tomorrow instead. It will be interesting to see how the meeting of two spoiled princesses plays out!
I'm so sorry you are still having so much pain. Golly gee, girlfriend. Enough already. I wish I lived close enough that we could go for a walk together today. And also, I would bring you some bananas!
Love you much!
Hi Vickie and my OFF family:
Yes, I'm here. I was just too tired yesterday to do anything. First, I got only 2 1/2 hours of sleep before having to get to the surgery center at 5:30 a.m. Then I sat around until 7 a.m. waiting for the doctor to get there. But once there, the surgery must have gone well ... don't remember a thing. My supervisor Joan picked me ... she drove me home in my car because she has a truck and it would be too difficult for me to get into the truck. So then after I got home, she had her husband follow her over to the surgicare center, get the truck and leave my car. She even moved things round so I could get the walker through and moved the cat food so it would be easier for me to access. I gave her some apple muffins (she likes my muffins). Wish I could do more. I appreciate when people do things for me.
Yesterday, my foot hurt a lot and I was so sleepy and out of focus. I didn't even have coffee ... I had Diet Coke instead. Just didn't feel like making any coffee, not even in my Keurig. I could barely focus my eyes on TV or my cellphone to play games, etc. I slept on and off. This morning I woke up feeling pretty good, but since taking my pain pills, I'm really sleepy again. These are much stronger than the vicodin I usually take ... these are 10 mg. But it is working on my pain.
So today I just plan on watching baseball. That was my plan yesterday but the game got rained out. So I watched Monday Night Football, which turned out to be a good game, and then a couple of shows I recorded. I did read a little but didn't get onto the computer at all. Just posted through my phone.
Vickie, I'm so glad you and Butch and your dog are home ... sorry, can't remember dog's name.
Connie, complain all you need about your pain. If you can't complain to us, who can you complain to? We're here to listen. Wish I could help to ease your pain ... I'm sure my pain pills would help.
Judy, sorry you can't get them to put the carpet in your office. I'm sorry, I can't remember what else you said. I can blame the pain pills for my short-term memory loss.
Well, have a good day.
Eileen...glad you got home safely. I am sure you did sleep a lot yesterday. That is good for you! I am sure your friend loved your muffins!!!
As for my pain....guess I have to live with it....they claim there isn't anything they can do about the ribs. I can't wait to see my new doctor in December!!
Keep resting and taking good care of yourself. Sending more prayers!
Love you....HUGS.....connie d
Afternoon OFF family...Well I am STILL waiting on the guys to take my office apart and get it ready for tomorrow and the new floor!!! They seem to be doing everything BUT!!!!! WTH???? I tell them this needs done and they go the other way!!!! I am losing patience with BOTH of them right now!! Seems they forget I AM THE MANAGER AND IN CHARGE OF THEM BOTH!!!!!!!!! Sighs........MEN!!!!!!!!
Getting some off and on rain here winds are picking up also. Hope nothing severe today...so far all is OK.
Nothing exciting happening other than another stolen car yesterday here....LOL PD says they don't know why they just don't send us copy of reports so we can watch for them here...lol. They seem to like dropping them off here for some reason!!! This one we think the woman did it herself though. She reported it missing SUNDAY and it was here since FRIDAY. Strange.
Well time to get back to work again...might take a ride to next town for my plate tags. better take Gabby with me incase I get lost. I don't go to this town a lot so not sure if I can find my way back...LOL Getting there yes back...?
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Hello Vickie and OFF,
I've been busy today, but haven't accomplished much. I finally got my new iPhone activated. Now, I have to get it fully charged again, and then do some work organizing all my apps.
Went over to Colleen's and ordered magazines from Izzy's Brownie troop. If you don't have a Girl Scout to support, and would like to purchase magazines, candy, photo cards or scrapbooks, here's the link: http://girlscouts.qspgao.com/Login/WelcomeShopper
I ordered Real Simple and Good Housekeeping from them last year, and renewed them. Then, I ordered Highlights for Izzy, Highlights High Five for Lincoln, and National Geographic Little Kids for Franklin, for Christmas. I loved Highlights when I was a kid. The National Geographic magazines for kids have awesome photos of animals, and Frankie loves animals.
I'm doing laundry from Nursery today. It's a little more than a full load, so I did some of my own with the overflow. I'm heading to Bible study later. I need to get out of here for a while.
Looks like I'm not going back to PA after all. My sis-in-law must have spoken to my sister, and admonished her about following doctor's orders. She is not supposed to bend, but was picking stuff up off the floor. Go figure. No wonder she wasn't healing.
Vickie, I hope the two dogs get along. When my sister brought Louie home, Dooley managed to accept him pretty quickly. Utley and Dooley get along, but Louie isn't crazy about Utley.
Connie, I'm sorry you are suffering from so much pain. I'd gladly join you and Vickie for a walk if it's sunny. It's rainy off and on here today.
Judy, sorry the men aren't listening to you. I'm sure everything will be taken care of in time.
Prayers for all.
Trish
