Good news today!

Good news today! The doctor said that Butch's x-rays looked "nearly normal" and he ordered the NG tube removed. Hooray! He gets to have broth and jello for his supper tonight.
I am at home for just a few minutes, but then I'm going back to the hospital for awhile. But I will sleep here at home tonight. Now that Butch just has the IV to deal with, he should be okay at night. The nursing staff at that hospital are really excellent, and there aren't too many patients on his floor, so it's easy to ask for things like help going to the bathroom, etc.
I brought little Maybelle home. She just was not doing well at Christie's house. She was so happy to see me. I bought her some "find the hidden food" toys to keep her occupied while I am gone. I hope that will help.
We are hopeful that Butch will get to go home in the next day or two. Lord, I just pray that it is so! I am beyond exhausted at this point. I just really really need some rest at home in my own bed. Butch is exhausted, too. He's cranky and tired and hurting and wants to come home. I understand his pain. We both do so much better when it's just the two of us here at the house. I can keep him pain free and well nourished and we both can rest and recover from this latest ordeal.
Well, I need to throw some more clean clothes in a duffle bag for Butch and get back up to the hospital. "I think I can . . . I think I can . . . I think I can . . ." Oh Lord, I am so tired.

Vickie....Praise the Lord for answered prayers. Butch is doing well and now today (Monday) you both get to go home!!!!
I am sure little Maybelle was happy to see you. That must have confused her switching homes so fast like that. I am glad you got your baby back!!!
