HELLO....anyone there today......it is Saturday...what's happening with you??
Good afternoon everyone.....
It is noon and no one is awake....hmmmm.
My daughter should be here any moment. I am so excited!!
So what is everyone planning for today??
Judy...I hope you had a blast with your family!!!
Vickie...still sending prayers and love!!
I am in pain but it is my own fault. I did 4 loads of laundry yesterday. One was towels and sheets and the other a light weigh quilt. One load of dark and one of light. It took me forever!! I didn't even put sheets on my bed last night. I fell on to it and grabbed a blanket. I was out!!!
Carrie and I are not planning anything...so I can lay and rest and watch movies. Dinner is in the crock pot. Everything else is prepared. It will be a very easy weekend!!
Wishing everyone a beautiful day!!
Prayers for our sweet OFF Family.
Much love and many hugs to all.....connie d
Hello Connie and my sweet sistas!
Oh, Connie, do be careful, won't you? You try to do too much sometimes. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you not to be able to do everything you want to do when you want to do it. I sure hope you enjoy your visit with Carrie! Your family always makes you feel better.
So, we are still in the hospital. Butch's x-rays show more improvement, but the doctor still left the NG tube in place today. He did say that Butch needs to walk at least 3 times today. Luckily, we just got our new rollator (sp?) walker and our new wheelchair from the medical supply company. I figure if Medicare will pay for it, we need to go ahead and get them now. So we went for a walk using the new walker and he did very well with it. Now he is down in bed and just had his pain meds, so i figure he will drop off to sleep very soon.
And me, too! Wow, we were up from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. last night. I am beat! I am more than ready for a nap of my own.
So Christie went out to my house last night and got little Maybelle and took her home for the weekend. It didn't go real well. She said Maybelle howled and cried all night. Plus she peed and pooped in the house. I haven't had any of those issues with her at all, so i guess she was acting out. I feel so badly, but I just can't leave Butch up here without someone with him. At least not until he gets the NG tube out.
I did get out for a minute and I went to PetSmart and Target. I bought Maybelle some food puzzle toys to keep her occupied. I bought some toiletries at Target, as well as some new panties and a new tee shirt for me, since I don't plan on going home now that I don't have Maybelle to take care of.
I am hoping that my Carrie will be here tomorrow. Last time we talked, she was planning on coming down on Sunday and spending the night.
Well, that's all the news for today. I am really hoping that Butch can get the NG tube out tomorrow and maybe we'll be home in a couple more days. Please keep praying for his recovery. I do think we are going to avoid having any surgery, which is such a blessing. And I'm glad I don't have to fight that battle.
I love you all! Thinking about all of you today.
Hello Connie, Vickie and OFF,
I was up much earlier than noon. The Munchkins had soccer games. Plus, all the local cousins were there. Lincoln's team played Cousin Alex's team. So, all the aunts and uncles, even those who didn't have kids old enough for soccer were there. Plus, Uncle Toby and Baby Hunter were there. Plus, the other grandparents were there too.
Then, I had to drive into Lansing to the FedEx office, and pick up my package I missed yesterday. I got my iPhone 5s. I haven't activated it yet. It's charging.
Now, I'm home, and cooking and baking. It looks like I'm heading back to help my sister, coz she is worried about my Mom. Mom's 88 and is worn out caring for my sister, plus worrying about her. I'm gonna firm it up this evening. My travel plans are weird, but my sister's willing to pay for it. I'm gonna drive to Pittsburgh,, drop off Utley at Sean's, then he's taking me to the airport. I just can't drive it in one day, without Sean. I really don't want to stay overnight, in Pittsburgh either. She's willing to fly me from here, but I can't leave Utley in the house, and have someone let him potty. Colleen's got zero spare time, so I won't even ask her.
I'm watching the Michigan State/Perdue game. Then, tonight, it's Penn State/Michigan. Colleen doesn't like that I'm rooting for both States. Colleen graduated from grad school at Michigan State, and Chris is in grad school at Penn State. They are so competitive with each other. They both got their Masters on the very same day. She called Chris and bragged about how she was graduatng an hour before him. So now, she thinks I shouldn't be rooting for Penn State, because she went to Michigan State, and I live in Spartan country now. Plus, she actually said, "He's not even going to the campus." I said, "Yes, but his diploma will say, "The Pennsylvania State University." She was 18 months old when he was born. Gotta love it!
Better get back in the kitchen. If I don't, Ill never get that zucchini bread made. I want to take some to PA.
Love and Prayers,
Trish

Hi Connie and my OFF family:
I'm at work, waiting for college football games and other copy to get in. So I thought I'd check in with y'all. I got up way too early today because I wanted to make sure Richard was up when his ride came (he's going to a family reunion in Georgia). Well, turns out the cousin who's picking him up just left Texas at 10 a.m. this morning. So Richard won't be leaving until early Sunday. I took a nap before work, but I'm still dragging.
Richard will be gone indefinitely ... he's first going to Indy to stay with these cousins, then to the reunion. He might not come back except to get his stuff, he says. In the meantime, I get his big-screen TV. The only problem is I have my foot surgery Monday and had planned on having him drive me home. Well, I had to make new plans. My new boss is going to drive me home, but I have to drive my car there and leave it because my surgery is at 5:30 a.m. and she's not getting up that early. They'll call her when I'm ready to go home.
Connie, hope you feel better. Take it easy.
Vickie, glad to hear Butch is doing better. You rest up too.
Trish, sorry you have to go home for awhile.
Take care and have a good night.
