Connie, you are such a sweetie!

We need a little extra prayer this morning. Butch fell and injured his right clavicle (collar bone).  He has a bone tumor there. I'm afraid he has a hairline fracture. We are at MDA awaiting xrays and we'll see Dr Tu in a little while. And we still have radiation treatment this afternoon. I will post when I can.

Hi Judy....I am sure the beautician put plenty of gunk in your hair. I always tell them a little mousse and nothing else. They always want to make it so sticky!! I am sure your hair still looks great today!!!

Enjoy your Oktoberfest Activities!! I never get out to anything anymore. I do remember how fun it was!! The weather here is beautiful today too. Sunshine and almost 80 degrees right now. It is so humid I have to have the A/C on for now.

Amanda and I had fun shopping!! They just left to make the long trip home. I miss her so much already!!!

Hope the rest of the week goes well for you!!

Love you...HUGS....connie d

Good Morning Connie, and OFF,

Vickie, extra prayers are on their way.  Sorry to hear Butch may have a fracture on his collar bone.  Keep us posted.

Connie, your family is very therapeutic for you.  I hope Amanda and Tyler are able to move closer soon.  You do so much better when your loved ones are close.

I'm so glad I had my kids before I was 25.  I spent the morning with Franklin, and I'm exhausted.  He done wore me out.  We played most of the morning.  He loves those Hot Wheels.  I was able to get about half of Colleen's laundry folded for her, while we watched Sesame Street.  He loves Elmo.  He danced when music was on, and we talked about every scene.  I don't believe in just parking him in front of the TV, without discussing what we're watching.

Please pray for my sister, Eileen.  She had a hysterectomy this morning.  It was supposed to be done laproscopically, robotically, but because of her weight, they had to do it open.  I'm praying this motivates her to do something about it now.

I have my finance homework to finish, then my class tonight.

Must scoot.  Love and prayers.

Trish

Hi Trish.....my family is the best therapy for me..you are so right!! I hate them living away form me like they do. Tyler applied for a few more jobs online while he was here. I so want them to move to MN!!

I had my children before 25 and I am so glad I did. I had a hysterectomy at 28. My daughters and grandchildren really are the light of my life!!

It sounds like you and Franklin had a great morning. I can see why you were exhausted!

I have and will continue to pray for your sister, Eileen. I am sorry they couldn't do the surgery laproscopically. Back in the day when I had mine opening was the only way they could do it. Please keep me updated on her condition....thank you!!

I am going to lay down and try to rest a bit. I was too excited to sleep last night!!

Love you dear.....HUGS....connie d

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

Lots of talking already. After running around yesterday afternoon with Richard, I was so pooped. I got home and sat for a good 10 minutes before I put groceries away. Richard said he did the same thing. I had been gone since noon almost and got home at 6 p.m. Just a whole afternoon of running errands, and then he didn't get his meds because they weren't ready. So we have to go back and get them this afternoon before I go to work. Just too tired to move. Although I did sleep well. No "Roosevelts" last nigh****ched "Big Bang Theory"... such a funny show.

Anyway, we have to get the spare room ready for Richard and it's far from ready. Plus, I reconnected my landline because he won't be able to afford a cellphone and I will have my cell with me at work (not that I get a lot of calls). So for now, he'll have the landline. He's going to try to get a job that he walk to.

Vickie, sorry to hear about Butch. Hope he'll be OK.

Trish, sorry to hear about your sister ... for a minute I thought you were asking me specifically to pray for your sister ... then I remembered your sister was named Eileen. Will swing chickens for her.

Judy, enjoy Oktoberfest. The bees are always bad this time of years (actually they're yellowjackets or some other kind of wasp ... regardless, they're annoying).

Not much else happening here. Back to work. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen....you really did run yourself ragged shopping!! That is Pam kind of shopping....I am surprised you didn't fall asleep in that chair!!

We watched the Big Bang Theory too.. That show makes me laugh until I hurt!! What a great show!

You have Richard help you get the spare room ready. He is going to be staying there. You don't need to wear yourself out doing it!! It is nice that you are offering him a place to live and a phone to use. I am sure he appreciates it very much.

Hope your evening goes well!!

Love you...lots of hugs too.....connie d

Richard found someone to move him at least. I can't do anything for him other than drive and hold the door open. One of the guys in the pressroom with whom he was friendly when he worked here said he'd do it ... I asked copy deskers to help but everyone had plans for the weekend or didn't have a truck. Well, some had trucks but they weren't big enough trucks. One guy said he'd help but couldn't do it this weekend. Anyway, the guy from the pressroom has a big truck and was off on the weekend, so it worked out well. I'll give Richard the extra key and they can move him in without me there.

As for being nice, hey, he once gave me money so my car wouldn't get repossessed. What goes around comes around. The karma bounces back. He's having a tough time now, and while I can't do a lot for him, I can provide him with a place to stay. I won't let him become homeless.
