SATURDAY MORNING WHAT'S UP????????
Well last night we went to the Bratwurst festival...they had LOTS of food there...I was looking for CARLE's Brats...heard they were the BEST there...so of course Rick found they had a BEER tent...sighs...so he went in there and bought us each a drink...I asked for a Mango Rita...thinking it was an 8 oz one...NOOOOOOOPE it was a huge one!!! OMG!!!!!!!!! I get loopy on an 8 oz one and here this one was a great big huge thing!!!! So the parade was starting and we stood watching it and drinking our drink and the sheriff deputy was standing at the gate guarding...me being the "easy drunk" was getting drunk I guess and having a good time...that deputy was ROFL at me!!!!!!! He said he has never ever seen anyone get drunk so fast like I did!! Rick told him oh she will be OK in about 20 minutes...we will not leave here til she is ok. He said ok. Well I did NOT finish that WHOLE drink!!! OMG NO WAY IN HELL!!!!!!!!!! So after the parade was over with I was once again "normal" the deputy was amazed I was fine. He said how did you do that? I said Gastric By Pass. He shook his head and wished us a good evening. I said thanks you also!!! So we once again set out looking for my special Brat. We found them!! Bought one and then got some fries for Rick and we ate and left. Then guess what we got into on way home??? OMG!!!!!! I freaked out!!! Saw all these flashing lights up ahead of us...its was a SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS DOING THE DRIVING...but that was a good thing I guess because Rick had more than I did to drink....Officer talked to me and asked me all sorts of stuff on bet we were coming back from the festival...oh yes...he was leaning in really close...told us to drive safe and let us go on our way. Rick said he was trying to smell my breath!!! OH..I thought he wanted to kiss me!!! LOL He was that close!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!! That was the first time ever for me to be in that situation!!! WOW!!!!!!!!
Well nothing planned for me today...relaxing I hope!!! Rick wants to finish cutting the grass here before all the rain hits. I MIGHT take a ride to Mansfield to Meijers. Have not been there in ages. Might take the truck so I can pick up some Mums. I see they have them out now. I also want to get some other perennials. What I have no idea. What ever catches my eye I guess.
Well that's it for me today. LOTS of PRAYERS for Butch!!!! He has me worried...Vic Prayers for you also!!!!
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Good morning Judy and everyone....
Judy....you are so lucky you ate that brat!!! All you would need was a DUI!!! I hope you find the plants you are looking for. There is nothing like beautiful flowers around to make things look so good.
I am worried sick about Butch and our Vickie too. I pray and pray and pray all throughout the day. I know God is listening. I am heartsick over Vickie and all she is going through as well. I can only imagine what is all going through her mind. It brings me to tears. If I had the money I would be there by now. I have nothing holding me here. I hate that she is alone.
As for me...I must get a couple loads of laundry done today. I changed my linens so that makes extra wash. I just can't do more then two loads at a time.
Other then that nothing else planned. If Pam is out and about I have asked her to take me to get a couple extension rods for my living room drapery rods. That window is wider then I thought.
Wishing everyone a great day!!
Prayers for our sweet OFF Family. Special prayers as well. I would be lost without this wonderful family!!!
Much love and many, many hugs to all....connie d
Good Morning Judy, and OFF,
Judy, thank God you didn't get picked up for DUI. I made sure to only drink at home, during my drinking days. I always passed out on one glass of wine.
I'm praying for Butch and Vickie this weekend.
Found out my friend is having two memorial services for her daughter. One in Brooklyn, for her friends and coworkers. The other in Ocala, FL, where my friend lives, and her daughter went to high school, and near her college friends. Please continue to keep the family in prayer. They have a deep and abiding faith in God.
Today, Trent is here with the guy who owns the property behind me. They're taking down a ginormous pine tree that started to get uprooted after this past winter. It's leaning over the fence out back, and is really, really tall. I have a few errands here in town. Then, crocheting. I only have two weeks to finish the blanket. House can wait.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish

Trish I was out long enough to not be under the "influence" to be arrested for DUI so I wasn't worried. Just was scared that I was in that "line" for the sobriety check...lol but it was a wake up call!!! Won't do it ever again!!!
Prayers continue for your friends!!
Hope that tree comes down with no problems!!!
Love you also!!! HUGSSSSSSSSSS
The tree was taken down in the morning, by Trent and the other guy. Then, Trent went home, and got Colleen and the kids. While he was on the other side of the back fence, throwing the branches over, Colleen, the kids and I brought them out front, to the curb. The pile is huge, and the branches are also. The kids worked hard, and wore Colleen and my gardening gloves, especially Frankie. He even brought small branches to the curb. The city has a special truck, with a chipper attached. They'll come around sometime this week, to pick up everything. Then, Trent taught Izzy how to use the push mower he lent me. I was planning on cutting the grass this weekend, and he ended up doing my front yard for me.
Now, I'm ready to crochet. First, I need to throw laundry in the washer. I've been fortunate, every apartment I lived in had a washer and dryer. Now, after waiting till Christmas, I have a set.

hello sweet sistas!
Thank you for all your love and encouragement. Butch is doing much better today. He's improving. I feel like such a dope for not realizing how dehydrated he was. I should have had him in here several days ago. But I just kept thinking "this is the chemo". Well I'm learning. So he was technically in renal failure yesterday but his kidney function is improving as he gets more fluids. They think his kidneys will recover fully. His red blood cell count is falling, but that is probably the result of the chemo. His diarrhea continues but the nausea is gone now. And he's in less pain than he has been in weeks. So things are getting better. I suspect we will be in here all weekend which is good. I don't want to take him home too soon. He's getting the care he needs here. apparently I'm not that great of a nurse. I am doing okay. Very tired of course. Got home at midnight and back up here by 8am, but basically okay. I have a couch here in the room to stretch out on. I can catch a nap. Chris was with us all day yesterday and she's coming back this afternoon, so I'm not all alone. Don't worry about me. I'm still tough enough to do this. I haven't gotten worn down yet. Love you all!
