Good morning everyone....

So quiet on here again. I don't have anything planned for today. I just came back from lunch. We had walleye today. WOW was that good!!

I spoke with Nic last night. He is really working hard at all his jobs. He will start school again on the 21st. Kyleigh starts back to school that same day. She is so excited to go to school in the Twin Cities again. She calls everyday to check in with me. I have the sweetest grandchildren!

I spoke with my daughters last night. I have decided to get my long hair cut off. I have had long hair for years. I want to go really short. Everyone thinks I should just get a shorter bob to start with. No more highlighting. I am going to just have it colored. I will still be blond but a different shade. I am still leaning toward shorter hair. I guess I will decide next Wednesday which way I will go!!

That is about it for me....gee I have a exciting life!!  I am happy so I guess that is really what counts. I plan to read more and relax. I had a crazy week. I wish I could help Vickie. They are just too far away. God Bless them both!!

I will check in again later. Have a beautiful day!!

Prayers for our lovely OFF Family. Special prayers as well.

Love and lots of hugs  to all.....connie d

Hello sweet Connie and all my OFF sistas,

I love you all.  Just really wanted to say that!

We are muddling through today.  Butch is still very weak, but I bullied him into getting up and eating a bite of breakfast.  Then I put him back to bed.  Chris is on her way out here to help me take him to the lab for his bloodwork.  I just don't think I can manage it on my own.  I hate for her to have to take off work, but I need an extra pair of hands today.

I did talk to my SIL, Judy, this morning who just finished chemo for breast cancer at MDA.  She said that the extreme fatigue alway**** her around the 2nd week.  Well, we are now in the 2nd week after treatment, so I guess this is just part of the aftereffects.  At least I hope so.  I have a feeling the bloodwork today is going to show anemia.  Nobody can be as weak and tired as Butch is without there being something seriously wrong.

I am hanging in there.  I'm scared and I'm tired, and I'm depressed dammit, but I'm hanging on.  Judy, honey, your sweet posts on FB are all that keep me going some afternoons.  I love you!  So many people are so kind and so sweet.  The little posts and messages really do help.  Somehow we will get through this and life will return to normal again.  Just have to have faith and hang on.

Love you all!

Hi Vickie....sorry Butch is still so weak. I pray he is using his walker. I know he doesn't like to. I am glad he ate some breakfast for you.

Your SIL Judy is probably right about the fatigue. I am still praying things change for Butch soon. Let us know how the blood work turns out.

I worry so much about you. I know you are so exhausted and worn down. Could any of his family come and stay a few days and let you catch up on sleep? I wish I had words to take your depression away. I feel so worthless. I am constantly send love and hugs and prayers your way.

I am glad Chris was able to come and help you get to the appointment. I was wondering how you could do that alone. He is just too weak. God Bless him!! More prayers too!!

I care so much about both of you!!

I love you so much....huge hugs....connie d

Hi Connie and OFF,

I had an Encounter to do at the zoo this morning, and spent as much time getting there as it took me to do the Encounter.  Right after I got on the interstate here, traffic came to a complete halt.  After sitting in crawling traffic, I checked the traffic on my iPhone, and found out there was an accident that had traffic detoured off at the next exit, and then take a back road that runs parallel to the interstate, to the next exit.  Normally, it takes me about 30 minutes to get there.  Today, it took over an hour.  I called the volunteer coordinator to let her know, and she helped my partner get the animals ready for me.  I walked in right when it was starting.  I hate being late like that.  Since I'm new, I like to get there early, review the particulars about all the animals we're using, so I don't look clueless while I'm talking about them.  Today, I was handling two animals I hadn't talked about before, the red tail boa, and the blue tongued skink.  Both reptiles, and I've handled lots of reptiles in my life, just not those two for lessons.

I'm about to head to empty the dishwasher, then put some laundry away.  I really need to tear this place up.  I'm saving that for tomorrow.  Today, some light housework, then to spend the rest of the day crocheting.  I've got two weeks to finish the baby blanket for my niece's shower.

Must scoot.

Love,

Trish

Hi Trish....I am so sorry you got hung up in traffic...what a mess that must have been. Thank goodness for cell phones....at least you could phone ahead and let them know what was happening. I am sure you did great will the Encounter you needed to do. You are very knowledgeable.

Hope you get to work on that baby blanket later. I know how much to want it done for your niece's shower.

Much love and many hugs....connie d

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

Gee, wish I could read more and relax. Instead, I'm at work. I was so tired yesterday, I was dizzy toward the end of the night. I was sleep eating ... not really, but I was dozing off while I was eating. I have done this before. Finally finished off and went to bed. Slept very soundly, so I guess I was just very tired.

I tried to post at home but couldn't get my usual browser to work ... finally got Firefox to work and used that, but don't know why Chrome wouldn't work. Might have to take my computer in for some work.

Vickie, I hope you get some answers from Butch's bloodwork. If he's anemic, they might prescribe something for that. In the meantime, try to get him to use a walker. Have you looked into using a shower chair? I used to have one that slid into the tub. Used that for my first two knee surgeries.

Not much else happening. Back to work. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen....I am glad you didn't end up with your face in your food!!! Why do you think you were dizzy? Maybe your blood sugar was off or you were dehydrated. I hope that is gone now. Glad you ended up sleeping soundly.

Have a good night at work. I hope it isn't a real late night for you.

Love you....HUGS....connie d

Just overly tired, is all. Should've gone to bed sooner. But I was still eating when my nighttime meds took effect and I started nodding off with food on my plate. Nothing messy.
