I am praying I have a quiet evening!!!
Wishing you all a good day!!

Hi Connie and my OFF family:
My guests are gone ... they left before I got up. Didn't even here them leave, I was dead to the world. It was good seeing Rox and Erin. Erin has grown up so much since the last time I saw her. She's quite the young woman, tall and confident, even with the braces. We went to Burlington Coat Factory, because they don't have one in Wausau and she likes to shop, and she got a couple of tops for school. Then we went out for lunch, I went to Petsmart and then I treated her to ice cream at ColdStone Creamery. Then we vegged out at home and watched movies ... "Catching Fire" and one on pay per view "Philomena." I had seen "Catching Fire" already but now that I'm reading the book, there were things I saw in there that I understood better. Philomena is very good, if you have a chance to see it ... it's about a woman who was forced to give up her son and goes on a search for him 50 years later.
I need to do some shopping today, too ... promised Richard I'd take him, too.
Not much else ... hope everyone has a good day.
Hello Eileen....it sounds like you had a fun time with your company. Now you can relax....I can't remember if this is a work day for you or not.
That book Philomena sounds really good. I will have to add it to my other books.
I hope Richard went shopping with you this time. Is he doing any better these days? This month is just flying by!!!
Love and hugs....connie d
Happy Hump Day Connie, Eileen and OFF,
I had to get out early today. Had errands to run. Still have more to do. Yesterday, Colleen needed me to watch the kids for an hour. She had to help Trent pick up something in the van, with the back seats down. I helped Lincoln put together some K'nex pieces he received to his birthday. I don't understand why some people give gifts that are not age appropriate. The box clearly said ages 7 and up. Lincoln just turned five. He can't follow the directions yet. He was upset that I had to leave when I did, so I told him I'd come over today for an hour.
Tonight there is a meeting at church for the children's program. The Phillies are out on the West Coast, so their games start very late. Haven't been able to stay up and watch them.
I'm continuing to pray. I posted a picture of my friend's daughter, along with her employer's tribute to her. Check it out on my Timeline. Crystal was an amazing girl.
Hugs,
Trish

Hello Trish....I hope you got done what you wanted today.
I haven't been on Facebook more then 5 minutes all day. I have had one thing after another going on today. I will go check out the picture you posted and read the tribute for Crystal. I am sure it is very nice. Crystal sounds like she was a wonderful lady. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I am continuing to pray for your friend and also for you.
I agree people need to read the age limits on toys. Things do get frustrating for these kids if the aren't at the right level. Poor Lincoln he must be upset. It is really nice that you are willing to help him.
Have a nice evening....love and hugs....connie d
Hi Connie and Eileen and all my sistas,
Connie, I hope your appointment goes well this afternoon. Who took you grocery shopping today? Or did you ride the bus? I'm so sorry that your health insurance went up! Geez, that's a big increase, too. Listen, honey, you take advantage of any freebies that come your way, and don't you dare feel ashamed or cry about it later. You are a great money manager! If you can't make a dollar stretch, nobody can.
Eileen, I enjoyed seeing the pics of FB. I'm so glad you had a nice visit. I haven't seen my old college roommate in forever, but sure would like to.
We are getting by. Carrie came down last night and she's still here for awhile today. She's leaving to meet up with Christie at 3 p.m., so we won't have her much longer. I wish she could stay another night, but I understand she's busy and has obligations and commitments. She's going to be teaching as adjunct faculty in the fall semester. We are so proud of her! She's still working on her doctorate, but she'll be teaching and getting paid for it too.
I have done something to my left wrist. Honestly, I think it's from two things: rubbing Butch's back over and over and over again, AND holding my cell phone. I can barely type today. I tried crocheting last night and I just had to quit. Grrrr.
Butch is very tired and weak today. Carrie took him out for his walk and he could just barely walk up and down our driveway and a tiny way up the back alley. Is this normal for chemo??? I made him walk a bit yesterday afternoon, again this morning, and I plan to get him out there again this evening. If he doesn't exercise a little each day, he's going to wind up bedridden.
He did ask for and eat a bowl of cereal and banana this morning. But now he doesn't want any lunch. I'm cooking boneless beef ribs in the crock pot for supper tonight, but not BBQ'd. I'm just cooking them like a roast with onions, potatoes and carrots. I hope he can eat some of it. The meat should be very, very fork tender. Last night he ate a bite of rice, a bite of hamburger steak and a slice of cantaloupe. Such little food! I worry about him.
I've got to quit typing now. My wrist is aching. Love you all!
Hello our sweet Vickie!!!
My appointment went well. I love my mental health team!! They are always so good to me. I have an agency that I can call, they take me free of charge to any medical appointment. They are volunteer drives. Everyone has been so nice!!
You are right....I am very cautious with my spending. I don't buy just anything. I don't have credit cards because then things are more tempting. I don't want any bills other then the usual monthly things that are always due. I don't want more stress in my life!!
I am glad Carrie came down last night. It sure would be nice if she could stay longer. I know she is going to school and working so that isn't always possible. Congrats to her, she is amazing!!
I don't have any answers about chemo and the effects. I remember Nic was very sick and didn't do much for quite a long time. He had massive amounts of Chemo, I do remember that!!
I am happy to hear that Butch is getting outside some and doing what ever walking he can do. Baby steps...he will come along. His body has taken quite a beating on the inside. It will take time to recover. It sounds like he is eating a bit more. He had a good breakfast and dinner sounds really good. I hope he will enjoy it.
I am so sorry you hurt your wrist. I am sure you are right and it was caused from rubbing Butch's back so much. Hope it feels better soon. If you have a wrist brace you should use it. That will make a big difference if you can keep it from bending for awhile.
Sending prayers for both of you. I love you both!
Much love an I am sending hundreds of gentle hugs...connie d
