Sorry to hear about your pelvic fracture. The first time my mom fell, several years ago, she had a hairline fracture. Didn't see it until they did an MRI. She went two weeks before they found it. At that point, all they told her to do was go home and take it easy. Not much they can do for a pelvic fracture. The second time, a couple of years ago, they kept her in the hospital for a week, then sent her to the rehab wing. She still needs caretakers because she refuses to do anything for herself. But she's 90.

Hope you'll be OK. Take time to rest. I know it's tough.

Eileen:  Thank you for your post.  I was wondering what can be done for a pelvic facture -- especially a hairline one.  I'm still waiting for a call from my PCP to confirm one way or another that it's a hairline fracture.  I am just so ready to be feeling better.

Hello again Vickie!

I am so glad Christie did make it there and was such a help to you and Butch. I am also happy that Butch is getting a little bit of food and liquids in. Keep pushing it!!

I am praying hard that Butch has no more nausea episodes. You both really need a good night's sleep. You need way more then a couple hours here and there. I am praying for that too!!

Boost Protein drinks are really good. I always have the Rich Chocolate. I am not big on strawberry or vanilla. They have other drinks out there like Ensure and others. I find they have a icky after taste. You can also freeze the Boost in a cup and serve it as ice cream. If he doesn't want to drink, that might be an option. HUGS!!!

Much more love...many more hugs....connie d

Vic,

Does Butch have a script for nausea. If so, may want to give it once a day for a couple of days till Butch is back to eating better. If you don't have a script, i would ask MDA for one.

Also sometimes drinking thru a straw can cause gagging so might just use a glass. Also, might wannt to try ginger tea. Ginger is very good in treating nausea. If you have a Trader Joes in your area they hve a wonderful ginger pear tea and it is realy good with sugar or honey.

I am so glad you got some self time. Your are in my prayers.

Blessings

Francine
