Sunday Morning Song

Good Evening Everyone,

Boy, what a busy day for everyone.  Vickie, I'm praying for you and Butch.  I hope that once you meet with the hospital people, you are able to calm down and get yourself settled.  We love you, and all of us are praying.

Judy, I hope the docs can give your Mom some relief.  My son, Chris, had a floating tooth in his lower jaw.  It had to be removed surgically.

I was gone all day.  First, church.  That went well.  From there, I went to the zoo, with Colleen and Isabel.  I gave Izzy's Brownie troop a tour.  After that tour, they made bird feeders with pine cones, Crisco, and bird seed.  Then they played a habitat game.  Finally, we all had brought rakes, and they did a service project, raking leaves along a fence, and putting them in trash bags.  There were seven girls, and a Dad doing the raking, and they filled three huge trash bags in 30 minutes.  We were going to go back in the zoo, but a huge thunderstorm blew in just as we finished.  It was my first real tour, and the kids loved it.

Now, I'm resting with my feet up.

While I was at the zoo, Chris texted me.  He was at a play in New York, and Joan Rivers was sitting six seats away from him.

Must scoot.

Hugs,

Trish

Hi all!

We are all settled into our hotel and totally exhausted!  What a long trip!  I10 was a parking lot for much of the journey.  So much traffic.  At times we were just at a standstill.  Ridiculous for an interstate!

Rotary House is very, very nice.  It's really a Marriott, so that should tell you that it's first class all the way.  Gee, I wish we could afford to stay here the whole time, but that's not to be.  Still our suite is quite comfortable and we really need the convenience this week.  Houston traffic is not for the faint of heart!

We went down to the hotel restaurant for our dinner.  We both had the soup and salad bar, and it was delicious and fresh and just enough to satisfy our appetites.  Of course, prices here are so high.  I've got to get us into an apartment so I can grocery shop and save on dining out.

Thankfully there is a recliner (of sorts) in our little living area, so Butch is fairly comfortable.  I brought extra pillows and and lap-ghans, so we can set him up to sleep in the chair if that's what he wants.  I'm so sad that he can't get comfortable in our bed.  It would be such a comfort to snuggle with him in bed, but we haven't been able to do that in weeks.  Well, the most important thing is that he doesn't hurt all night long.

So, we'll get started on our quest tomorrow and I'll be sure to post updates all week long.  Connie, please don't go shopping with Pam again!  It's just not worth it.  Hope you have your little Gracie and are snuggling and giggling together right now!  Judy, I'm sorry your mom is hurting again.  Hope they can fix that tooth right away!  There were others that I wanted to respond to, but now I can't think.  Just too tired.

Love you all!

 Vickie
