Now, it's Thursday

Yes, I screwed up my days yesterday.  Wasn't the first time, won't be the last.  I've done that all the time.  This week, it's because I'm looking forward to Colleen's birthday tomorrow.  

Yesterday, I got to see the kids twice.  Colleen needed me to watch them yesterday, while Frankie was sleeping, so she could fix a mix up at the library.  They were charging her $40 for books she returned, they didn't check in.  She had called them and asked if they checked the shelves, and they claimed they had.  She went to the library, and found them on the shelves.  She was ticked.  Then, she had to run to the bank, and hardware store.  All are local, so she was only gone an hour.  

Today, I am going to Aldi with Colleen and the kids.  Then, more cleaning.  I'm making progress though.  Finally. 

Glad Butch is getting relief.  I hope Vickie is getting some sleep.

Good morning Trish and everyone......

Trish....I am so glad Colleen got the book situation figured out. Someone sure wasn't doing their job!!! I would have been very upset too!!

We have an Aldi here. It is small and every time I have gone there they were out of what I needed. It is all the way across town and the traffic is always bad in that area. I just quit going. They have some good deals they just never have enough. I have been to other Aldi stores that were larger and they were great!!

As for me....I am feeling better today. I do need to get my laundry done sometime today. Nothing else planned but more of the same....reading....watching movies....puttering around in my apartment.

I had a miracle yesterday, a true example of God's blessings on my life. I had to take my van in because the brakes were not working right. I was pretty sure it was it was the master cylinder.  It cost between $500-600 to replace. I don't have that kind of money but needed the diagnostic done andcthe place i took it does it for free. I asked the guy if they had a payment plan if it turned out to be the MC. He gave me an empathic no. He was very nice but they are a small company and they can't be the bank. I told i understood nd if it were the MC i would have to take the van home and park till i get paid the end of next month.  

While i waited i returned a call to my friend from high school. We have known each other so long that even though it has been a year, we picked up like we never missed a heartbeat.  I was catching her up on all my misadventures of the past year including WLS. I was tellibg her that despite all i have been through i have so much to be grateful for.She was telling of a trip she took last year and catching me up on her two boys and granddaughter.  

Well the estimate came backand as i expected it was the MC. And here is the miracle.  He asked if i could pay half today and half in thirty days. I said my paid day was more than thirty days but if he could wait for the second half till then yes i could pay half now. The answer was yes. I nearly cried i was so grateful and relieved. So i am thanking God for whatever transpired that changed the store manager's mind. 

Claire and i ran errands later and then i had a HUGE splurge. Once a year for a month United Dairy Farmer (they have 7-11 type stores with ice cream parlors attached for those not familiar with them ) serve peach ice cream. Omg is so good. So Claire and i went for our annual treat. I intended to get obe scoop. But they had buy one get one free. So of course i got two and ate it all. That was my supper. It was so incredibly good with big chunks of peaches. It was decadent. 

I hope you are all doing better today. In less pain and doing more enjoyable things. You are in my prayers.

Gotta go get some lunch.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I'm fighting a headache today. Not bad enough not to go into work, but bad enough where I'm not happy. So far, I've taken an Imitrex, a vicodin and a decongestant. I've got an icepack on my neck. Nothing has really helped. We must be getting a system coming through. 

My weekend went by too fast and I really didn't get a lot of rest. I piled up lots of karma points, though. Tuesday, I took Richard around and got him some medical help. Yesterday, I took him to the free clinic. He will get some help there for very cheap. ... $20 charge regardless of what they do, plus no charge for lab tests, x-rays, etc. Plus, they will work to get him his Crestor for $7. He was so happy. They can't get him his Xanax, but can refer him to someone for that. He didn't know the clinic was there. I did because I had passed it so often, plus I had edited stories about it. So after that, I took him to the bank, then we went out to lunch. Went to Chili's. I had ribs ... have lots left to have for late-night snacks. So that was two meals plus leftovers. He has to see the clinic doctor next Tuesday and I will make sure he goes. Like I said, lots of karma points. But I'm glad I can do this for him, because right now he can't do it for himself. He's a very intelligent man but his mental issues have him tied in knots. 

Well, that's all going on with me. Francine, glad you got your "miracle." It's karma. You must have done something good. Karma always bounces back. 

      Can you tell I am happy???? Oh I am!!!! I got word today that the WITCH that called the cops on Rick is MOVING OUT SOON!!!!!!!!!!! OH HAPPY ARE WE!!!!!!!!!! Now to wait for the day she leaves!!!!!!!

Also talked to mom last night and she said she got her staples out...asked the dr if she could go home...dr said next week...mom said she wanted to go home NOW!!!!!! Dr said well lets see how you do tomorrow...mom said she is walking 100 feet or MORE now so why can't she go home??????? LOL Told you my mom IS a FIGHTER!!!!  So I am waiting to hear IF she got to go home or not...LOL.

Got another new tenant moving in today...gosh I have been so busy with new people...LOL got another one coming to look tomorrow at an apartment...wow!!! No time to relax anymore...lol Trying to get the clubhouse spruced up for inspection and no time to get things done!!! Sighs!!!!

Took the truck in this morning for the brake lines...looking at $300.00 ??? Waiting for the call that its done...said might not be today...no problem...just fix it good!!!

Got home tonight and NOBODY is sitting on my glider!!!  WOW!!!!!! Think they got the message I was a little ticked off last night??? HMMMMMMMM
