Good Morning,

Coffee's ready.  Be right back.

Sorry about that.

I overslept this morning.  Must get moving.  Lots to do.  Need to totally rip this house apart today.  Laundry, organizing, vacuuming, yada, yada.

Allergies are bothering me.  What else is new?

Hope Butch is feeling better.  Same for Connie and Eileen.  Judy, I hope your Mom is doing better.

Hugs,

Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish....so nice to see you start the thread today!! You sure do have a busy day planned for yourself today. Be careful that you don't overdo and end up in a lot more pain.

As for me....I am feeling better today. I think my body is heading back in the right direction. I slept in too and it felt good. I missed so much sleep the last couple days.

I do need to do a couple loads of laundry sometime today. I like to keep up with it.

It looks like we are in for some more rain today. We need it so that will be good. I wish I could keep my windows open but the humidity is just too high. I just keep my A/C on low as I get too cold in here for me.

More working on puzzles later and reading of course. I just love to read!! I need to add more books to my Nook!!! I haven't looked at what if free lately. Time to get with it!!!

Wishing everyone a lovely day!!!

Prayers for our sweet OFF family and their families as always.

Much love  and many hugs  to all.....connie d

Connie,

I believe some public libraries "Lend" electronic books.  My sis-in-law downloads audio books from the library back home.  She has a Nook.  I'm pretty sure you can also do that with the ones you read.  If you have a library card, check out your local library's website.  I believe you can renew them, just like regular books.  Check it out.

Hi Trish, Connie and rest of OFF family yet to stop in today...

Gosh I have been so BUSY already today WORKING!!!!! YES WORKING!!!!!!! People wanting to move their dad in here that is getting out of nursing home this Thursday just brought me the info I needed to send in for his medical stuff...only chance they had to do it was today and yes I agreed to be in for them...also show them the apartment he will be in also...they love me...lol then I also had to be here for our deaf tenant that has his refrigerator on the blink the repair guy coming to look at that...sooooooo my morning was full!!!!!!!! Rick is now changing that ref for one that works until we get the other one repaired. Needs a part ordered. He is mad because the door has to be changed around on it...LMAO poor baby!! He got to sleep in today til almost noon!!!!!! Guess who gets to sleep in tomorrow??? ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talked to mom last night and she is doing fantastic!!! Said she walked 22 feet the first time then 38 feet the next time out. WOW!!!!!! Said she is doing many stupid things also that has nothing to do with her leg...but its the little things she isn't thinking she will be doing when she gets home I am sure. Using a grabber and little odds and ends...So this news makes me VERY happy!!! I still don't know what she broke yet. She said Joe told me...I told her Joe didn't tell me ANYTHING!!!!!!!! She told me to call and ask him...HELL NO!!!!! He can't call me to tell me anything before I am NOT calling him now!!!!!!! KMA!!!! He should have called me LONG AGO!!!! Did he? NOPE!!!! I am not playing his games.

Got rain here today...wanted to go to the fair but not sure if we will now or not. Chance for thunder storm popping up now. Soooooo maybe stay home save money.

I see they are moving things out of Sandi's apartment now. Guess getting ahead start???? She is in nursing home and off all meds except pain meds they said. So it is a matter of time now. Could be soon or it could be a year or more...just do not know.

Not sure what is happening at the other tenants that we had trouble with yesterday moving out her things...should take a walk over and see...maybe drive by to be safe...lol.

So that is my news for today...just want to relax now is all.

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!! Hope Vicki and Butch are doing Ok today!!!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Woke up this morning with a backache and a headache. Going to be a long night at work. I don't have to be in early at least, so I'll wait until 3 p.m.

Cake went over well ... everyone seem to love it. I still have some left. I'm having a small piece right now, in fact. Oh, my, it's rich. I used dark chocolate cocoa powder and dark chocolate chips this time ... super yummy! Along with trying to find ex-boss Richard a doctor, I'm doing the same for a current sports copy editor who was terminated by his doctor. He's all bummed out about it, needs to get his meds renewed but can't without seeing a doctor. So I went online and got a list of docs ... don't know if they're accepted in our network or if they're accepting new patients, but at least he has a starting point. He's been moping about it for a couple of weeks. I guess I could be a good ombudsman. Eileen's personal shopper ... and problem solver.

As I was writing this, I heard a knock on the door ...went to answer it and there was no one there and nothing left outside the door (thought there might be a package). It takes me a while to get up, but not that long.

Glad Judy's mom is doing better. Connie, take it easy today. Same for you, Trish. Wish I could do that, but I have to work.

Have a good day, everyone

Hello sistas!

Kinda had a rough night and morning around here.  Butch is struggling with the pain and his mobility and I have been pretty blue about it all.  But I'm getting ready to head to the Y for an hour or so.  Butch is settled in his recliner, and he's had a bath and fresh jammies and 2 pain pills.  He says he's okay until I get back.  I'm meeting Chris and the boys for a swim.  I need the outing.  I need to smile and play with the boys and a bit of fresh air and exercise.

I'm stopping at JoAnn's Fabrics and pick up some yarn.  One of my good friends is having her first grandbaby--a girl!  I'm going to make a baby blanket while we're at the hospital in Houston.  It will help pass the time and keep me occupied.

I started packing for Houston today, even though it's a week away.  I checked all of Butch's pajama pants, etc., to make sure he didn't need anything new.  I think he's okay.  He has 4 fairly new pairs of pajama pants, plus short and long sleeved tees, and a nice robe.  I have a feeling once we get to Houston, we won't be coming back home anytime soon, so I'm going to pack a big suitcase as well as a couple of smaller ones.  Better to be prepared.

I will prolly pack mostly long pants for myself.  I get so cold in hospitals!  Long pants, sweaters, socks for August in Houston sounds crazy, but I know how cold the AC gets!  And I get cold easily.

Well, I must go if I'm going to run my errands before I meet Chris and the boys.  Praying for Connie's grandson Lucas, Judy's mom, Eileen's friend Richard, Cindy's hubby (no more migraines!), Jen's continued recovery, and everyone else.

Love you all!

 Vickie
