Wednesday -- What's New With You?

Good morning everyone.  Got up early to take the dog to the vet.  Seems like we have an early appointment every day this week!

Nothing much going on here.  The weather is beautiful -- no wind.  No fog.  Just perfect.

Greetings Cindy and OFF,

Another morning at the zoo.  The group was an hour late, but once they arrived, they were terrific.  I'm an hour behind schedule, that that's okay.

I'm also tired.  I got home around 10:00 last night, because I had to call Colleen, coz her mailbox was on the ground, and she had water in her basement.  I also checked her garden.  Paw prints, pretty sunk in the ground, show that not only small animals, but a large animal, has been in there.  Also, quite a few plants are eaten.  Sad, coz Colleen likes to can the green beans, but they're gone.  

l made a huge mistake.  Tried to see how my Mom was enjoying my grandchildren.  Shoot me now.  She has to find fault with everything.  Brought up how I should not have gone to college, or worked, when my kids were little.  Complained how my daughter, and her  husband are raising the kids.  What a freaking *****!!!  She never sees the positive, only the negative.  And, she has to complain to me all the time.  

I have VBS again tonight.  

Must scoot.

Hi Cindy and my OFF family:

How is everyone? Don't see many posting today. I have been busy all day. Had two doc's appointments ... one with the pain doc (or at least his PA) and one with the podiatrist. Scheduled another shot in the back at the pain doc and foot surgery with the podiatrist. The docs are both in the same practice. Then I went to Target for a few things, then had to run over to Richard's to get some money from him so I could pick up his drugs and other things (he said he didn't feel well). He gave me extra money so I'm not complaining too much ... he tipped very well. So I ran his errands and nagged him about getting to a doctor ... again. By the time I got done, it was after 2 p.m. and I was tired and hungry. Plus, I had to do this copy editing test yet for this homebased job I was applying for. So I did that while my dinner heated up, then again after I was done eating. I'm pooped!

Think I need a nap now. Don't think I did well on the test .... had to rush through it and I was so tired. I had to have it finished by 5 p.m. today and forgot about it until today. Well, we'll see. Scheduled my foot surgery for October (first chance I could get off); I'll need two weeks off. 

I've been up since 7 a.m. ... need a nap.

I have had a very busy day with my friend Pam. We were going to run a couple quick errands. We left at about 2:00 PM. We just got back here at 8:45 PM. We only went to two three places. I needed just a couple things. Pam shops unlike anyone else. She goes up and down every single aisle and looks at EVERYTHING!!! I was sitting waiting for a long time at each place. I love her to death but don't think I will be doing that again!!! I am in pain and exhausted. Tony took me  to the bank, Post Office, drug store and grocery shopping....it didn't even take two hours!! 

I am worried about Vickie and pray she is okay!!! 

I know people posted but I can't remember what....sorry. I will do better tomorrow!!

Hi Connie!

Yes, I am okay.  Just had an extremely busy day yesterday and never had the time or energy to post.  Between swimming lessons, grocery shopping, company and the DirecTV installation, we didn't eat our dinner last night until after 9 p.m.!  I got Butch fed and went to bed!  Never even read OFF until this morning.  

Wish I was there to run errands with you.  Seems like Pam should realize how hard sitting and waiting like that is on you and adjust her shopping habits accordingly.  I know you love her and she loves you, but sometimes I don't think she's fully aware of your condition/limitations.  Just sayin'.

Vickie...Pam gets some kind of injection that she is supposed to take in the morning. Her morning is usually about 4 PM. That med is like speed....she took it just before we left.....she was flying high!! She loves to shop...even though she shouldn't be anymore....it is her addition. I just told her we can't shop together like that again. I was in so much pain I went straight to bed after my post here last night. I didn't even wash my face!! I hit the bed and was out!! I was almost 3 days pain free. Today it is back with a full roar!!! Oh well...I should have had her run me home earlier....my fault for not speaking up. I do enjoy being together just not that long running around. 

Hope you have a much better day today. It sounds like your day was as crazy as mine yesterday!!

Connie, I shop the way Pam shops ... I go down every aisle, or almost every aisle. I'll look and see if there's something I need down that aisle and if I don't, I won't. For instance, if it's the baking ingredients aisle and I don't need anything there, I won't go down there. But I do shop meticulously. It's my only exercise. After being out yesterday, I was pooped, too. And most of mine was sitting in a car or at the doctor's. 

Glad you feel better today ... a good night's sleep solves a lot of ills.
