Eileen....I too tried to get in the bariatric center here....the start up fee was $200...not refundable .....must be paid before I come to a meeting. Plus they have eating programs that I must follow. The meals and things are paid for separately. I wanted to do it but there is no way I can. Guess I better do SOMETHING myself!!!

I am glad Richard has you for a friend. I hope he will listen and go see someone. He needs his meds. The way he is now he couldn't work if he did get a job!! Sending prayers!!

I hope all goes well with your new psychologist.

Have a good evening!!

Love and many hugs....connie d

Good Afternoon Vickie and Friends,

I'm running behind schedule today.  I was supposed to put something in the crock-pot this morning before I left for the zoo, and had to rush to get it in when I came home.  It should be ready in time to take to the youth pastor's house, across the street, on my way to VBS.

Today I got to do Reading with the Animals.  That was fun.  We take children's books, a craft, and some animals to the amphitheater.  Parents with kids come by, and we read about an animal, show them an animal, which they may touch, if they wish, and then make an animal bookmark.  The little kids love it.  I've always enjoyed reading to children, especially about animals.  It's funny how I go back into my teacher role, asking the right questions, as I read the books.  I did that so much, and still do with the Munchkins, it's second nature.

I got the crock-pot cooking, the quick bread thawing, the cucumber/tomato salad and watermelon cut up, in containers, in the fridge, the corn in the pot, and ready to cook.  Now, I can continue tackling the bedroom.  After I drop off supper, I get to go to the church.  During VBS, I am helping in the kitchen with snack.  The theme is animals in the jungle.  So, the snacks are related to that.  Last night they got "Bird Seed,"  sort of a trail mix mixture.  It got crazy coz we had to make a gluten free, nut free, and regular batch in big containers.  Then, label, and fill cups.  Tonight their getting cupcakes made to look like lions, with coconut for the manes.  I have only nibbled on a little popcorn putting the "Seed" together.

Must scoot.

Prayers and love for everyone.

Hugs,

Trish
