Hello Wednesday
Hello my OFF Family:
I wrote a long post last night, hit a button and my browser closed. So I lost it all. I was so pissed I just let it go. So sorry if I didn't post. Just didn't feel like rehashing everything again. Especially since my computer was so slow last night.
I had my doc appointment yesterday. He agreed to get me referrals to a psychologist in their group and the bariatrics people. So I got a call from the psychologist ... couldn't get an appointment until December. Can't wait six months ... need to talk to someone now. So I'll keep looking on my own. This person would've been good, too ... she specializes in eating disorders. And boy, do I have one of those.
So after that, I stopped at the little farmers' market by the hospital and got four big zucchinis for $1 each. Now I have to grate it for zucchini bread/cake/muffins. Yum! I have my WLS-friendly recipes ... I love to bake. Then I went to get my hair colored and cut a bit. It looks very nice ... no more gray. I wouldn't try to do it myself.
Thought I would take Richard out but he called and said he'd wait until today, so I plan to go out today ... I'm hoping my glasses will be ready too. When I got home, I had a message from a high school friend with whom I'd reconnected ... so I called her back and we chatted for a long time. It was good to hear from her again. She had to file for disability a while back because she lost her sight. I think that's worse than all my aches and pains.
As for works, I talked with my boss Monday and she apologized for the way she sprung the time schedule on me ... she said she wanted to tell me earlier in the week privately but we were too busy. OK, but I told her the asshole guy was still a bully and he doesn't handle people well. She said she and the exec editor would look into the Sunday shift again. I don't mind working Sundays, but I see lots of problems with that guy ... and shifting him out of slot doesn't work because then he'd do sports, which he hates and would just complain more. And I'd be in too much stress by doing slot, which would put me in more pain. I hate to look like a whiner, too. I'm not. I'll do whatever they tell me to do.

Sorry you lost your post...that happens to me more then it should but only on this sight.
I love zucchini....I would be cutting it up and making stir-frys and salads with it!! I am sure you feel better now having your hair cut and colored. I hope you and your boss can get something worked out with that grump you work with!! I would have him locked in a file drawer by now!!!!
I am happy you got in contact with an old friend. That is great!! I think that is just what you needed! Hope your glasses are in soon.
As for me....I am waiting for a person to come and speak with me about getting more help. There is so much more I can't hardly do anymore. She should be here in about 10 minutes. I hope she has good news!!

I wound up not going to the grocery store. Had to get my friend Richard out of a funk. He went to get his meds at the drugstore but they only gave him 12 ... one is a psych drug he really needs and the amount he got will only last him four days. I'm worried about him. He was kicked out by his doctor over a misunderstanding about missed visits. I tried to get him in with my doc but he's not taking new patients until August. So I told Richard we'd at least get him into urgent care before the weekend. But we might have to get him going earlier than he usually gets up. I don't want him going loony without his meds. I can't believe this med group would do that to him.
So I took Richard out for lunch, paid for it while we tried to sort things out. It was Mexican food, so not really expensive, and I had a coupon. I had friends who did the same for me when I was unemployed. Time to pay it back. Everyone needs someone to take care of them when they need a friend.

I just put up a post about Butch. I'm not much in the mood to chat right now. We will fight this, of course, but right now I just feel kind of numb. I knew he had a cancer. You don't hurt like that unless there's something seriously wrong.
I've got to go now. We're going to keep today's chiro appointment, but then after that, I don't know.
I've got to wrap my mind around this thing. I'll post more tomorrow, after the next doctor visit.

Eileen...WHY can't you color your own hair??? It is EASY!!!!!!!!!! Look at all the money you can save doing it yourself!!!!! I did mine when my hair was down to my waist!!!! Yours is lots shorter so you CAN do it!!! Just put it on and smear it in and leave it on for 1/2 hour and wa**** out and it is done!!! EASY!!!!!!!!

Judy, I know I could color it, but I'm sure I would screw something up and it would come out green (mom used to color her own hair and did mine once when I was in high school). I only get it done every six months so it's not like I'm doing it every month.
The bully has been talked to several times, and he gets better for awhile, then he goes back to his old self. He's a good editor, but he's a bad people person.
