Judy, honey, I can hear your panic.  But you won't do yourself or your mom any good if you make yourself sick with worry right now.  I am praying for your mom and her doctors and you and your whole family.  You must calm down now, and take those deep breaths, and believe that your mom is in God's hands, no matter what.  "Cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you."

We love you very much here, sweetie.  We will all lift up your mom in our prayers.

Judy,

The storms in ohio were bad and you need to be safe. When you arrive to see your mom you'll want to do so without endangering yourself. So, take a deep breath.  Say a prayer for your mom, have acdrink and get some rest. It is in God's hands and he will watch over you and will keep you and your mom near.

You are in my prayers.

Judy, I can empathize with you ... I go through this with my mom, too, but am grateful my brother lives with her (although I'm sure there are times he isn't because she drives him crazy).

Doctors are hesitant to operate on patients in their 90s because of the complications of surgery; it's why the ortho doc didn't operate on my mom's elbow and why it didn't completely heal. And hip operations are really a problem. Patients must be willing to get up and move after surgery; well, you remember after WLS how they got us up and walking and had us breathing into the little device. That's all to make sure we didn't get pneumonia and healed better. It's tougher with elderly patients.

Please calm down before you rush out there ... I know you're worried but you can't do anything if you get in an accident. I'll be swinging chickens for you and your mom. I really understand your issues ... I go through this with my mom and worry there will be that call about her again (in fact, one morning my brother said mom wasn't up and he went into the bedroom to make sure she was still alive ... she was alive).

Take care ... you're in my thoughts.

Judy,

I'm praying for you and your Mom.  God is in control of everything, and loves you and your Mom more than either of you know.  Like Vickie says, He cares for you.  Breath.  Meditate.  Trust Him.

Hugs,

Trish

THANKYOU ALL for being here AGAIN for me!!!! MY OFF FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom made it through surgery and is in recovery. Brother (the jerk) called to let me know. Said she would be up walking tonight. Really? He said that is what the dr told him. Yeah ok. Told him to call me later let me know how she is doing. He said he would. Not holding my breath for that call. I will call the hospital and ask the nurses station.

Thankyou for the thoughts and prayers...please keep them going for her as this will be a LONG road ahead for her I am sure!!!

Judy,

Most hospitals give a passcode to the family. It has to be given to the nursing staff when family members call for information or they won't talk you.vi would ask your brother for that code.

I hope your mom does well. Tge critical thing is that she get up and move when they say to.

You and your mom are in my prayers.

Blessings
