Happy Tuesday....what's new with you?

Grrrrr!  I'm going to RANT, so shut your eyes if you don't want to hear it!

I have less than TWO weeks before a whole bunch of people descend on my house for the 4th of July.  So I am TRYING to do some much-needed deep cleaning and organizing around here.  With me so far?

Well, about 5 months ago when I was laid up in bed recovering from surgeries and staph infections and such, my darling husband went through the pantry and the closets and stuff in this house and literally pulled everything out of place!!!  (Not that it was all that great to begin with, but it WAS out of sight, you know?)  

So today I tackled what will soon be my sewing room and guest room #6, but before I can do anything in there, I have to put BACK all the damn boxes that he pulled out of the hall closet MONTHS AGO.  He SAID that he pulled them out because he wanted to go through the boxes, but you'll notice that they just sat there piled up in the middle of that room for 5 months and he never once touched them.  

Now, all of sudden TODAY, it's absolutely imperative that he go through them all!!!  WHY?  He hasn't given a damn about doing it for months and months and all of a sudden it's priority #1.  I threw a bit of a fit and I just flat out overrode him on this one.  I literally slapped his hands away from those #&(*@# boxes and I have shoved them all back in the closet, out of sight again, for the remainder of the summer.  It's not like I threw anything away.  All his crap is still there, but it's out of sight!  I have company coming every 2 weeks for the rest of the summer.  I cannot and will not have this house looking like a giant pack rat lives in here (even though one does!) while we have all this company coming.  I like things to be clean and neat and organized, and it's MY house, too.  He's gone out in the back yard to sulk.  Hmph.

MEN!!!  Can't live with them and can't live without them.

Vickie.....WHEW....so glad you got all that off your chest!! Darn men...they have no idea what all takes place organizing every thing for company. It isn't like just throwing a extra hot dog on the grill!!!!

I am glad you stood your ground!! He will sulk.....then he will feel better....he will be back!!

I am with you...clean ...neat and organized...always!!! I can't live any other way!
