Terrific Thursday

Ok, so not quite Thursday yet, but i thought i would start the thread since i am still up getting ready for surgery tomorrow/ today Thursday.  Have to be at the hospital at noon. Surgery at 2:15. So tomorrow at this time if all goes as planned,  i will have a new knee and been up to walk on it.

You are gong to be sooooo happy after you start rehabbing that knee.  Don't let the first few weeks discourage you....I have both of mine replaced and it is the best decision ever!!!

Wishing you well on your surgery and recovery.  Let us know how you're doing as soon as you're able.

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all goes well with your surgery. I also pray you have a easy recovery.

As for me....once more I will try to get this computer going. I have been trying all day. The poor thing is just old and is tired of working. Not sure what I will be doing. My daughter, Carrie is looking into a Tablet for me. I don't do much on the internet anymore mostly here, Facebook and Yahoo. That would sure be easier for me to get around with. 

I went out and completed the puzzle we have been working on. It is really cool. It is all about the 4th of July. Very vibrant colors with all that red, white, and blue!!

I woke up with a nasty headache. I can't seem to get rid of it. I pray it goes away soon!!!

I hope your surgery went well.  I've had minor knee surgery, plus surgery on both my feet, and eight of my toes.  As much as it hurts, it is worth it to keep moving, just like after WLS.

Praying you have a speedy recovery, and are moving along well after you do recover.

Francine, praying that your surgery went well and you are on your way to better health and mobility!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!

We had a very busy day and I'm tired tonight.  I spent all morning playing in my flowers.  I got all my babies potted up and/or set out.  I wanted to take pictures, but I was out of time.  Came in, showered, and off to get my hair cut at 1 p.m.  Then back home to get Butch and we were off to town to do some shopping. 

First we went to Garden Ridge and picked out a new wrought iron bench, but we didn't buy it yet.  We need to go back in the truck to get it.  I want a bench out near the back lot where we feed the deer every evening.  I want to be able to sit and watch them, especially now that the mommies are starting to bring out their babies in the evenings.

Then we went to Jo Ann's Fabrics.  Oh my gosh!  I found the cutest giraffe pattern on-line last night and it was downloadable, so I had it to take with me to shop for fabric.  And, believe it or not, I found some red fabric that is very "giraffe-like" with small irregular squares on it.  I bought a contrasting fabric that is white background with red and aqua stripes and looks kinda like zebra stripes.  Well, then I found matching aqua ribbon and the most darling aqua and white chevron buttons!  I am very excited to tackle making my giraffe in the morning!  I think he's going to be designer worthy indeed!

We also bought some vinyl to cover 4 folding chairs that were left in the garage at the kids' house when we bought it last spring.  You know the type--folding chairs that go with a card table.  I will recover the seats and backs and we will have extra seating for Poe Family in July.

Then we hit Wal Mart, and I'm not exactly sure what all we bought there, except that Butch insisted we buy a deep fryer so that he can make fry jacks!  LOL! 

After that we picked the boys up from school and brought them home with us.  I made tacos and guacamole and tamales for dinner.  Mike ate supper with us and I sent the leftovers home for Christie's dinner, because she had to work late tonight.

It was a good, busy day, and I feel almost normal again.  The pink eye is better, thank goodness, but my eyes are awfully red.  But they've just about stopped tearing and matting up, so it's bearable.

Connie, honey, I'm so sorry about your dumb ol' computer!  I think you would LOVE a tablet!  Butch got one for retirement from his company and he loves it.  Judy, I hope you will have good weather for your vacation!  When do y'all leave?  It sure looks like Eileen and her brother are having a good time on their vacation.  I would like to go and see some of the sites she is posting on FB. 

Well, it's time for this old gal to hit the hay!  Tomorrow is another busy day for me.  Love you all!
