Wednesday, wet Wednesday
OK, so everyone too shy to start the daily thread, so I will for a change.
Worked this morning, nice executive hours 11 to 1, am home for late lunch and will go for a swim. It's raining, and will for next 3 days.
Tomorrow another visit to cancer unit radiology oncologist at the hospital, then off to a friend for some before lunch bubbly to celebrate her 71st BD, and off to our fave fish restaurant for celebratory lobsters as there's a glut of them and prices have come down, not as much for consumers like us compared to poor fishermen getting under C$3 a lb for caught lobsters, but it has dropped here by c$4 a lb market price to about C $11-12 per lb. Pity it will be raining so we'll have to eat inside instead of out on the terrace under sun umbrellas, but we will make pigs of ourselves on lobster and wine anyway. Since my wls , I no longer eat fries or rice, can barely manage splitting a salad and eating tail and 2 claws. In the past I would be hungry enough for all the carby sides and want another half a lobster as well. So glad to be eating normally! Hooray for my gastric bypass!

Good afternoon Jennifer and everyone....
Jennifer....that lunch sounds wonderful. Happy Birthday to your friend!! I agree....Hooray!!! I am glad there are still many things I can't eat. I just wish there were more...LOL!!!
I had no internet service until a little while ago. Not sure how long it will last. If I disappear you will know why. They are doing a lot of work around here with the cables etc..
I am not sure where everyone is today. Pretty quiet for sure.
I didn't have anything planned today. I couldn't be on my computer so I went out to do some work on the puzzle. This is a tough one, but lots of fun anyway!!
My daughter, Carrie had some surgery on her knee today. It has been bothering her for a long time. The took a pretty good sized mass from behind he knee. They don't think it is cancerous but it will be checked out anyway. I just spoke with her a little while ago. She is back home now, it was a same day surgery. Her son, Lucas is home taking good care of her. He had just made lunch for her, fish and veggies. He is such a great young man and he loves his mother.....and of course his grandma too...LOL!!
I will check in to see who else posts a little later....if I can.
Wishing you all a comforting day!!
Prayers for out sweet OFF family.

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Hello Jennifer, Connie and Judy, and any to follow.
I am just getting home from a horrifically long day in Lansing. Ran over a curb in a parking lot, blew out one tire, and needed to hire a tow truck to change it, because I can't figure out how to use the new, smaller jacks. I can use the old fashioned ones, and have even taught Colleen, when she was in college. Tow guy said the tire was ruined, and that the other one had a bubble, meaning it could blow out any time. So, instead of reserving my hotel for the Fourth of July weekend in Pittsburgh, I paid $300 for the tow guy, and two new tires, which took an hour to wait for the tow guy, then two hours for the wait on the tires. Not my way to spend my time, or spend unbudgeted money.
Now, I have to call Mom to borrow the money till August. I hate having to do that.
I love lobster, but can't normally eat it. Shellfish is high in Vitamin K, and that is a huge no-no for Coumadin users.
Connie, I hope the mass is nothing. I'll be praying.
Judy, the weather here in Mid-Michigan, near Lansing, is supposed to be 85 and partly cloudy on Sunday, with a chance of rain at 10%. But, I have no clue where Michigan Raceway is. I know things on the East Coast. Not totally familiar with these here parts.
Hugs and Prayers,
Trish
Hi Trish...MIS is in Brooklyn Mi...saw that the weather is supposed to be NICE!!!! But thankyou for the report for your area!!! Close enough!!! LOL
Man that sucks on your tire!!!! I would be upset also!!! Be happy that you have someone to LOAN you the money!!!
Hope you are having a better day today!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Jennifer! I am not a lurker, I promise! LOL!
But I did wake up with pink eye this morning (yes, really! What else??) and the thought of being on the computer was quite abhorent today. My eye has finally stopped watering so much tonight, so I popped on to see what all my sistas were up to today.
Had a fairly productive day, despite the pink eye. Made a batch of green tomato pickles (photo essay and recipe on FB) and got some more of my little plant babies potted up. Still have more to go...hopefully tomorrow I'll finish them.
Nighty night all!
