Half sick Friday!

Good morning, sistas!

Ugh.  I'm sick today. Started getting sick on Wednesday (my birthday) and have really felt like crap for the past 2 days.  I'm not sure if I have a cold or just allergies again.  Whatever it is, it's miserable and I'm ready for it to GO AWAY!!!

However, life goes on and nobody ever died from a headcold or allergies, did they?  So yesterday we went flower shopping, which was grand.  I bought so many pretty babies!  I hope I can keep them alive.  It's already in the 90's here everyday.  I've never started bedding plants this late before.  We'll see. 

Then yesterday evening, Butch and I drove into NB and met Chris and the boys at the Y for some swimming.  That was fun.  Benny isn't scared of the water at all this year, and Budder is just a natural little fish--just like his mama was!  I can so remember taking Carrie and Christie to the pool when they were little.  I had to be ready with Chris!  The minute I sat her down, she made a beeline for the edge of the pool and would just bail off into it with no fear whatsoever!  LOL!  Those were good times.

Today Butch and I plan to take the big pontoon boat out on the lake for a first spin.  We need to check all the systems out and make sure it's all working properly before we take the whole family out on Sunday.  I love to go boating on the lake!  Not sure if I will try to go swimming yet or not.  I'm trying to heed the doctor's warnings, although it's very hard for me to do!  Still, I know I will go swimming with the boys on Sunday.  Maybe I can hold off until then.

Earlier this spring I ordered some new long length swim shorts from Land's End in a size 16.  I thought they would be perfect for boating and I wouldn't have to worry so much about "fried frog legs"!  LOL!  (I sunburn easily!)  I tried them on yesterday and they are too big!  So I need to run a couple of darts through the waistband and take them in a bit.  In fact, I need to do that now for several of my shorts/capris/pants.  I guess I need to get my machine out for some alterations.

I plan to start setting out some of my new plants today.  I'll do a little each day until I get them all planted. 

This morning we were out on the front deck and one of my "little mommies" was anxiously pacing to and fro across our front hillside.  I knew she had her baby hidden somewhere close by.  Got to looking, and sure enough, there he was, curled up in a little ball right beside our front steps, under the hedge.  Pics on FB if you want to see.

Good Afternoon Vickie and OFF Family,

I was at Colleen's, watching the boys so she could go to Izzy's school for VIP Day.  I could have taken the boys to the music program they had, but, Frankie is under the weather.  He's had a fever the past two days, and has a runny nose today.  Poor little guy.

I put the fixings for queso with meat in the crock-pot.  I need to buy some chips for when I take it to the church.  They're having a Daddy/Daughter night to raise money for the Relay for Life that a group from church are doing next weekend.

I have to go back to Colleen's in less than an hour, to watch Izzy and Frankie, while Colleen is taking Lincoln to speech.

Must scoot.

Good morning Vickie and everyone.....

Vickie....you seem to have a green thumb. I am sure your plants with flourish!!! How fun that you get to be with your family on the pontoon. I miss those times. I am sorry you are feeling sick. I pray you will be feeling better soon. I know my allergies are really bad this year.I am glad the boys are good in water. They will be great little swimmers. It is great that you can take in your own clothes. My sewing machine is in Iowa. No room for it here. I saw your pics on Facebook....how sweet!!! Glad the mommy trusts him/her in your care. 

As for me....I am in much less pain then yesterday. We had a storm front rolling through. Everything that could hurt did! I am feeling much better today.

I went and made a quick trip to the grocery store. Nic will be here tomorrow to pick up my car. He is staying with me until Sunday. Yes, I am a bit sad to see it go. I certainly need to do this. Nic will take great care of it!! I have friends and we have transportation here to many places. I will be just fine. One less thing to worry about!! I will be having Grace here for a week this summer. I am so excited about that!! Amanda and Tyler will be here at the end of the month. I will have plenty to keep me busy!!

I need to go and wash a load of clothes. I am waiting for my eggs to be done boiling. I will relax the rest of the day.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

I too have some crud happening. I've been coughing on and off for awhile. Hacking last night at work and this morning. I take some cough medicine and it controls it, then I start coughing again. It's annoying. I've thought about calling in sick, but then I'd just use up another vacation day. So I'll go in and annoy everyone with my cough. 

I've got to drop Juliette off at Richard's before I go to work because he won't be up early enough tomorrow when I leave. So I have the cat carrier out and the spare bedroom door closed so she can't hide in too many places. 

Anyway, I need to get in the shower and get some lunch. Have a good day.

Eileen:  I hope you have a really great time at your mom's birthday celebration and then on the rest of your vacation and I hope you feel better so you can enjoy your down time from work.

Oh, I'll have my computer and WiFi, so I'll post. Maybe some photos too, but probably just on FB. Mom's party is on Sunday and I'm the official photographer. Then my brother and I are off to Springfield for a few days of R&R (we both need it ... he needs a break from Mom). 

Hi OFF family...sorry I am so late getting on here but I have been so busy...Vic Thankyou for the prayers for Mary!! I will let her know all of you that are sending Prayers and well wishes for her!!! She is so nice I love her to pieces!!!

I am beat tonight!!! Today is my mom's 93rd birthday and am sad I am not home to celebrate with the rest of the family...but in a little over a week we will be home and will be taking her out for dinner to celebrate...she wants CHINESE....OMG I told her ok...they do have chicken wings...I CAN eat them...I HOPE and not get sick!!! LOL

Well going to get off here and will be back tomorrow....

I finally got out and worked on one bed a little today.  Hopefully tomorrow I can get it worked up to get the flowers in.  Other than that and going out to lunch with Bill nothing going on her.  Have a good night all.
