Tuesday Morning
Good Morning OFF Family,
Well, I ended up going to a barbecue yesterday. Trent's Mom invited me. It was fun watching all the grandchildren playing with each other. Izzy went swimming with her cousin. Lincoln jumped into the big pool, but it was very cold. Lots of cousins there yesterday.
Today I'm getting blood work done, and then I am finishing my bedroom.
Must scoot.
Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone......
Trish....I am glad you were able to get out and enjoy yourself yesterday!! It sounds like it was a fun time. I hope your blood work turns out good.
As for me....I had to call my auto repair man this morning. One of my back windows won't go up all the way. It is taped for now. I need to call him back about 1:30 and he will see if I can get in then or we will make an appointment for tomorrow. This is another reason I don't want my car. I just don't have money for repairs. I will probably have to borrow money to have this fixed. I don't have much money by the end of the month or any other time as far as that goes!! This is very frustrating!!
I am really worried about Vickie. Her post on Facebook yesterday wasn't good. She said, "We have been gringo'd (i.e. Screwed) 10 ways to Sunday". She also said, "Tired and Broke". I hope she explains soon. Sending prayers their way!!
Wishing you all a good day!! Prayers for our sweet OFF family.
Love and hugs.....connie d
Oh dear, Connie, don't worry! I already explained it all on FB, but in a short recap for my friends here, we decided to do a day trip to Chetumal, Mexico yesterday. It was a big mistake. Ended up costing us a LOT of money in hidden fees and taxes that we weren't prepared for. Getting "gringo'd" means being taken for every last dollar. Well, they didn't get ALL our dollars, but they surely got a good percentage!
Today we are doing a big fat nothing. In fact, Butch is still in his pajamas! I did go swimming earlier this morning and now I'm just lounging around in a little coverup dress, surfing the net, writing blogs, and drinking coconut rum drinks.
We feel we have earned a "do-nothing" day after our adventures yesterday! LOL!
So, not to worry. We are quite well. Tomorrow is our anniversary. We are going out to eat at the resort next door. The restaurant is called Pineapples. We took a look at the menu a couple of days ago and it looks great! I will put on the new tropical island dress Butch bought me and my sandals and we will walk 100 feet down the beach for a romantic anniversary dinner. Sounds like heaven to me!
Love you all!
Hi Vickie....I did finally get your post on Facebook.....I always have to go to your timeline. Strange huh??
I am sad you went through all that....I was worried someone got your bank cards and stole it all from you!! I will be happy when you are back in Texas!! YOU are missed here!
Okay...now onward to the happy beautiful stories!!
Happy Anniversary tomorrow....I knew that...I was just upset over what happened to you and Butch and I forgot about it...I will try to remember tomorrow!!!!
Love and bunches of hugs....connie d
Hi Trish and my OFF family:
Sorry I have been MIA. Been busy at work. Last night I fell asleep in my recliner watching the History channel's World Wars. I had to rewatch it today. Good series. It was part I. But I was tired. It was a busy night doing two sports sections and lots of late stories. I am so looking forward to vacation.
I got up at 7:30 a.m. ... a little earlier than I needed to but I just got up and got going ... I had my mammogram scheduled this morning. The annual squishing of the boobs. It's not as bad as it used to be, even though I've regained. Cancer runs in my family, so I go yearly. Colon, ovarian and breast cancer are closely related ... dad died of colon cancer, my Aunt Bernice had ovarian cancer (although she survived it and lived another 30 years, died at 91). So I am very religious about my yearly exams.
Tomorrow, I have to get my crown redone, then take my friend/ex-boss to get his prescriptions. Tonight, I'm just relaxing and watching baseball, having a beer, reading.
Connie, I know how it is about car problems. That's why I got a new car, but then you have to make car payments, insurance, etc. But I need my car because I have no one to rely on here.
Vickie, your anniversary dinner sounds wonderful. Enjoy your day of relaxation. Not every day of vacation should be go-go-go.
Trish, nice to have a BBQ to go to. My dentist asked what I had planned for the holiday ... I said work ... he was surprised. I said I work every holiday. Good money, though. It's the life of a journalist.
Not sure who else posted. .... sorry.
Have a good day.
Good evening Trish and all. It was humid and rainy today. My middle DD came over to help Bill because of this stupid leg I haven't been able to help in the barn. I got her set up giving the animals the med and vaccinations that should have been done a month or two ago. I did draw up the shots so she didn't have to keep jumping back and forth over the fence. I do feel uncomfortable being in the barn with an open wound. I was suppose to get blood work done today but, forgot.
Sorry to hear you got taken Vickie. At least you have had a great time otherwise.
Connie cars can be such a pain, and expensive.
The annual squishing of the boobs. Love it Eileen
