Happy Friday .....what's new with you??
Good afternoon everyone....
I had a busy morning. I went to get flowers for my parents grave. Then I went to the cemetery and did the arrangements. It felt good to be outside. I sat and chatted with my mom and dad for a while. It was so peaceful and beautiful there.
Then I stopped at a couple garage sales. I found a few things. One was a nice steamer for the microwave. It was brand new. I got it for $2. I got a really nice 3-D glass for Kyleigh. It was a Twilight glass. She loves Twilight! It was 25 cents. I also got a pretty little crystal vase and dish for $1. That was it.
Then I went to Shopko (like WalMart) and picked up a few things. I bought $79 worth of stuff and paid $13. I had a gift card and another $10 off $20 coupon, plus I have a rewards card and got a little more off the total. I thought that was great!!
I better go have something for lunch. Not really hungry so I will just have a Boost and some strawberries.
Wishing you all a beautiful day!!! Prayers for our OFF family.
Love and many hugs to all....connie d
Good Afternoon Connie, and OFF,
I always hate visiting the cemetery where my Dad and brothers are buried. I know doing so comforts some people, but not me. After my baby brother died, my sister met a man whose son was buried next to my brother, and he visits the cemetery every day, for long periods of time. One Thanksgiving, one of his other kids traveled several hours to visit him and his wife, and he spent so much time at the cemetery, the child, and their family, went home, cutting their weekend short. Neil died in October, 2006, and I'll bet this grieving father still visits his son's grave everyday. A few Mays, I did put flowers on Neil's grave for Memorial Day, because is was a Navy veteran, just like my Dad. Dad is buried two hours from where I grew up, where Mom lives now. I've rarely traveled there for a ton of complex reasons.
I woke up early, and have not accomplished much, because I have had a killer headache since yesterday afternoon. I don't think it's sinus stuff. Good news is my digestive symptoms have settled down. So, I'm being a sloth today, crocheting, and not much else. I'm very behind on baby blankets.
Speaking of babies, the Mom, and baby, I've asked prayer for are hanging in there. The Mom was discharged late last night. Baby is still holding her own. Thanks for praying.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish...I am so glad the Mom and baby are doing better. I will keep them in my prayers.
I know not everyone does the flowers at the cemetery thing. That is perfectly okay. I do it for veterans as well. I just love to go and visit peacefully with my mom. It really comforts me. It has been 14 years and I miss her every single day. We were very, very close and she was an amazing mother to us all. My dad was wonderful, he has been gone 31 years and is missed. I was a daddy's girl too! I go to their graves other times as well.
So sorry you are still in so much pain. I pray tomorrow is a better day!
Love and more hugs.....connie d
Evening OFF family...Well today I did Bingo for the tenants...had one tenant show up asked if it was ok if she played...sure...saw we had hot dogs and chips etc...asked if she could make something to eat...yes...so she is the only one up at the table making herself a plate of food...FAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! OMG did she say excuse me???? NO!!!!!!!!!!!We all KNEW she did it!!! We looked at each other and thought OMG!!!!!!!! She finished making her plate of food sat down to eat and then BUUUURRRRPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!! WTH??? Didn't this woman have ANY manners at all????????? One tenant said excuse you! She continued to eat her food...al through bingo she belched and farted...I can't believe this woman did this and never said excuse me!!!!!! She sat there ate like a HOG and yes she is WAY overweight...said half way through bingo her legs hurt...she can't sit long on those type of chairs...said she was hot also and did I have a fan to turn on? I said the ceiling fans were already on and the AC units still were covered up outside and could not be turned on...others said they were fine. I was thinking keep eating all those sweets and all that food...I am sure that is why you are so uncomfortable...but I kept my mouth shut. She played 2 cards...another tenant played 7 cards...she said I was calling way to fast for her to keep up. I am thinking stop filling your face and you could keep up...but again I kept my mouth shut...tenants were getting fed up with her big time. I didn't know what I should say or do...one tenant told me IF she comes again he IS going to tell her!!!!!!!! OK...guess it would be better coming from him than me??
So that was my day.....
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!
Have a safe and happy Memorial day weekend!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Oh Judy....you get them all don't you!!!
I guess I would talk to her and let her know she is welcome there but only if she is considerate of others. No more passing gas and belching like that. An accident can happen but not like that. She also needs to excuse herself!! If she can't she should not be welcome to your events. Don't just let it go or you will have others doing the same thing.
If you don't want to speak to her you can write up the things that are considered appropriate in a group setting. Have everyone read it and sign it before they are allowed to eat.
Good luck!! I know you have low income people there but that doesn't mean they should be rude and inconsiderate of others. Low income doesn't make you rude. Manners are manners!!
Have a good night!
Love you...HUGS....connie d
Good evening all. Trish I don't visit my brothers or Fathers grave either. I like to keep them alive in my head and imagine them having a good time at our still here's expense. I miss them every day.
Bill stopped by the cemetery where many of his people are buried. I had just asked him about it the other day and he was driving by today so stopped to see if he could find them.
